WHY IS THIS SAUCE SO HARD TO MAKE?
because you have no finesse and are probably retarded
>>8359290
It's not that hard to make though? Sure it may be annoying to make, but it's not that complex
>>8359290
Because the French aristocracy had infinite money to spend on infinite cooks performing infinite steps.

My sister just got her first job and will be moving out soon. Since christmas is coming up, I thought it could be a cool idea to make a book full of recipes and such that aren't too expensive and not too hard/time consuming to cook.
Unfortunately I'm shit at cooking, and have no idea about anything food related in general, but I figured I'd rather ask on a dedicated board than just randomly google around for some recipes.
So if anybody has any ideas I'd appreciate any help I could possibly get
(There aren't any limitations to what she likes to eat, but she does eat salad a lot)

A decent knife makes a great present.
>>8359117
This OP, a good kitchen knife makes a world of difference
Buy her a rice cooker or a good chefs knife. Or just a generic cookbook.
Honestly unless she's interest in making her own food she's probably not going to

Would you give up cigarettes and hard liquor if it made food taste better?
Hypothetically, of course.
I don't do either one...So yes, of course I would.

I want to make a milkshake. Does anyone have recipe?
>>8358572
(whole) milk, icecream, some fruit or other thing if you're a queer
>>8358572
Add milk to a glass and shake it.
>>8358572
The easiest way is to simply blend what ever flavor of ice cream in a blender with a little milk
You could also use vanilla ice cream and flavor it with Hershey syrup
Or you could use real fruit or chocolate
What does /ck/ think about Japan's latest refrigeration technology they are starting to export to the rest of the world?
Japan calls it, Proton Freezing.

It is already being used to preserve fresh food like seafood, meats, vegetables, fruits, etc without the use of additives by American companies like Catalina Offshore Products
http://catalinaop.com/dock-to-dish/a-case-for-frozen-fish/
Check the pdf file I linked for a quick lookup on the technology.
http://ifp-ltd.co.jp/img/proton-freezer-catalog-en.pdf
>Using a combination of magnets, electromagnetic waves, and cold air, the new refrigeration technology prevents cells from being destroyed by making sure no large ice grains are formed in your stored frozen meat because it is large ice particles from the freezing process most responsible for turning frozen meat into a mushy, flavorless piece of meat.
So with this new refrigeration technology, all your stored frozen meat can still taste fresh for months and the dethawing process won't be as complicated compared to if you had used a conventional freezer instead.
The new freezing technology is becoming quite popular among American seafood companies who are already using it.
So once this refrigeration technology becomes mainstream enough that the average joe could own it, how would it change your eating habits, /ck/?
Looks interesting but I don't care for the disgusting Japanese ""people""

Not everyone is a weeb like you
I have never had a decent mac n cheese and have honestly never cared about it
but since my American bf moved in, he always requests it
I've tried to make it myself a few times and no matter what I do it's always just so bland
I'm Australian so severely limited box mac wise too
anyone have a good, powerful recipe? or tips??
pls help
Buy a box of off brand Mac n Cheese, use extra 3/4 tablespoon of butter than it calls for and slightly less milk.
Make a roux sauce as a base for the sauce, use some nice good flavorful cheese, top it with bacon or breadcrumbs and bake it

Buy noodles seperate. Buy a good brand (google research) of canned MEDIUM heat nacho cheese dip. Make noodles, heat up dip according to instructions, pour as much dip in until the mix looks the way you want it, and serve.
Does anybody else do this or just me? I really like a Korean soft drink called Milkis, it basically tastes like yogurtly soda. So what I do is mix Yogurt and Sprite together to simulate that taste. It's not completely accurate and sometimes you get some yogurt chunks if you don't mix it well but its not that bad as a drink. You guys should try it
Also bonus for Yogurt and coke. Its flavours are different but its still enjoyable.
Cream soda and milk is a fairly popular drink in HK
And yeah, Milkis is delicious

Decided to purchase this on a whim.
It's been a while since i found a new beverage that i really liked.
milk soda

Okay now this may br crazy but
Make a smaller amount?
Never heard of banana pudding before. It sounds amazing.
Sup /ck/ looking for a decent light beer to drink today. Anybody got some recommendations?
No, just don't drink. Light beers are for children and faggots.
>>8357221
Can you provide good solid reasoning of this without resorting to blanket accusations?
>>8357221
Don't feel like drinking regular beer today
Am I crazy for thinking these taste way different at every location.
