Hey /ck/, im planning on trying something out, with no real recipe here. would you tell me if it sounds nasty?
Basically, an apple turnover but with cheesecake inside. I was planning on doing it like this:
>Make standard cheesecake filling and pastry dough
>Reduce apples in a saucepan with cinnamon and sugar.
>put a small layer of cheesecake filling onto the dough, and then cover with spoonful of apples
>fold up pastry and chuck it in the oven for 20 min at 400F.
Good idea? Maybe different fruit would work better, but i got apples.
Maybe prebake the cheesecake a little? Im going in blind here.
That sounds good but I'd probably get beetus on the spot if I ate one.
I would be light on the cheesecake filling, don't overdo it.
>>8376940
I'd say try it if you have the resources to spare. You might make something pretty damn good.
>>8376976
If i were to make it, should i halve the sugar in both apples and cheese, just to keep the overall sugar content in control?
Is it worth the hour and a half of stirring to do it the old fashioned way?
Anyone?
>>8376880
Try it and see. This is your duty now.
What's the best halva I can buy on Amazon?
Theoretically, let's say you walk into a McDonald's. There's a massive lineup. You are hungry. You want to eat something ASAP, but you do not know what's on the menu. What do you do? Do you stand aside and review the menu from a distance and then go line up to order? Do you line up anyway and then take your time to review the menu when it's your turn to order, holding up the line? Let us assume that you have inferior eyesight and are too handsome for glasses and are also too good for contact lenses, so you cannot see the menu while you're standing in queue.
>>8376730
Just read the menu while you're waiting in line.
Consider suicide
>>8376730
What if there's black people in line? Do you pretend to go to the bathroom and then get to the end of the line so there wont be any "bad vibes" behind you? What if more get in line after you? What about those of us that are too good to stand in the same line as negros?

It's in an airport but they've designed the decor to look like a real restaurant (fake brick etc)
Is it a chicken sandwich or a chicken burger?
>>8376129
It's a sandwich.
If it was made with a patty of ground/minced chicken then it would be a chicken burger
>>8376134
THIS ANON IS 100% CORRECT. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THIS THREAD TO CONTINUE.
>>8376134
So is the thing that makes a burger a burger the consistency of the meat
How would you use it?
>>8376050
I'd rather have a smoked pork product, but otherwise I'd use them the same way: toss into a pot of beans or greens while they cook.
Butt plug
>>8376050
as a dog food, they are not easy to chew smoked turkey legs, hate them smoked, baked/boiled are much easier to eat meat is not so tough as the smoked ones.
Would you use a manual juicer press?
>>8375922
Sure, better than doing it actually by hand.
>>8375922
Of course. they work great, very fast & easy to use, easy to clean. What's not to love about them?
>>8375931
I think it's the "manual" part

Dear /o/
Today was my first day at my new job which is turkey plucking at my local farm. And to be fair I'm really enjoying it, however my hands kind stink no matter what I try. So I thought we could maybe make a thread for washing hands for smelly foods?
>>8375898
Do the turkeys have large talons?
Wash your hands really well then rub them with lemon juice. Rinse and put the lotion on the skin. Will dry out your hands.
>>8375898
Try rubbing with cooking oil, olive oil might work best and wash with mild soap if smell still remains try oil with baking soda make paste and rub your hands with it for couple of minutes.
And wash with mild soap after rubbing.
Let us know if it worked so others can learn.
Good luck.
BTW...respect for having positive attitude doing not so pleasant job.
Not plucked any animals, but can you not do it while wearing disposable or cheaply replaceable gloves? There might be types that have good grip (most laboratory disposables won't, to stop chemicals adhering to them)
Anyone Grazed before ?
Only when half price, and even that's expensive.
If you actually give these hipsters full price then you don't deserve the resources you have.
>>8375843
>step 1: go to bulk bins in grocery store
>step 2: buy cheap bulk nuts/trail mix/granola
>step 3: go home
>step 4: portion

I'm desperately looking for the magic ingredient to my dish. This thing is IT for me but it's dry as fuck.
It's white rice, with 12-grains mix (like oats, barley, wheat, etc.), raisins, goji berries, mung beans, beluga lentils and pine nuts.
This stuff is THE SHIT, I can eat it a million times and the taste won't get shit, it's got an insane spectrum of nutrients, a shitload of protein, it gives me so much energy after I eat it. It's just... dry though, it's really dry and I've tried adding so many fucking fruits and things to balance it out but nothing seems to fit.
What the fuck do I add that's complementary that makes it taste less dry?
Butter, dumbfuck. Probably some kind of faggot oil in your case.

What do you think of Chick-Fil-A, /ck/?

I love their fries, but the rest is meh.
Oh, the chicken egg and cheese bagel is pretty good for fast food breakfast.
Too expensive but mommy's milk is always free
>>8375578
I only eat the deluxe spicy chicken with the Polynesian (sweet n sour) sauce.
Fries are alright though.
