KFC fries are GOAT if hot and fresh.
They have a unique seasoning and my North American brothers are missing out with their shitty wedges.
I actually just got a big box for the first time in a couple years and I was pretty surprised. The fries are def fuckin good when fresh. Wings were great.... zinger was dissapointing. It's kind of fucked up that they're a huge fried chicken chain and don't have their own hot sauce.
The wedges taste like breakfast
it's always a gamble with the kfc franchises near me. most of the time they are passable but only once in a blue moon are they perfect
Are olives the tastiest food in the world?
>>8383736
No, that's UMAMI
>>8383736
No. Grab one off and olive tree and tell me it's delicious.
Meanwhile, I can grab and apple, orange, banana, strawberry straight raw and enjoy it.
If you have to soak it in brine it's not tasty. Olives taste like fresh dirt without being soaked in vinegar for a week and injected with a shitty Italian cheese. Fuck you and fuck olives.
>>8383756
Go shove your oranges and strawberries up your ass, faggot.
Do you plan out your meals for the week? I do, and this is what I'm thinking for this week..
>Monday - Roast beef dinner, boiled vegetables and whatnot
I was actually planning on having this for dinner this evening but I unexpectedly went out to a restaurant for lunch so I am keeping dinner light
>Tuesday - Vegetarian Chili
>Wednesday - Sausage and Potato
>Thursday - Lentil Curry
>Friday - Pork Chops with Rice and Vegetables
>>8383656
I plan my meals for every time two weeks. Helps rotate food properly, Less waste in food and money.
I made beef stroganoff today, tomorrow is chicken tacos and Mexican rice, Tuesday night will be spaghetti with Italian sausage links, garlic bread and salad. Wednesday night will be breaded pork chops, oven roasted potatoes and green beans, Thursday is shrimp scampi pasta with asparagus, Friday is chicken tenders in yogurt, lemon and olive oil and spices marinade with roasted bell peppers and onions on couscous. Saturday Christmas Eve is chili.
>>8383656
>Sausage and potato.
Lets talk about that, what are your plans?
>>8383726
The grocery store I go to makes their own dinner sausages, very thick and garlicky and not overly greasy. I will roast them in the oven, and eat them with some garlic mash and maybe fried onions. I'll also have some random mixed vegetables, the kind you get frozen in a bag. I will put ketchup on the sausages.
First batch of fermenting. Left to right.
1) Jalapeno
2) Habanero
3) Jalapeno, Habanero, Serano
4) Radish, Carrot, Cucumber and Dill
Looking forward to seeing if I fucked it all up in a few weeks.
how you fermenting? Lacto?
>>8383673
Yeah lacto. My scale is apparently fucked up so I couldn't get an accurate weight to create the brine ratio. Had to do little searching online for a simpler ratio (cups:tbsp) and just eyeball it from there. I'll have to buy a new scale for my next batch. Hoping I didn't screw it up entirely.
is 2 cup water to 1.5 tbsp salt a good ratio to use for this?
whats the best Boston cream pie recipe

adults do not eat cake. The furthest I'd go is some sort of fruit and nut yeast bread, like a whole wheat date and walnut loaf.

Bitch don't act like you know shit
This is my first time posting a cook along, so be kind please. We'll be cooking Pasta with tomato sauce. Also I'm a vegetarian, plz don't be mean
Ingredients
-Onion
-Garlic
-Whole-wheat pasta
-Courgette
-Aubergine
-tempeh
-dried oregano and basil
-lidl bag of dried herbs
-and of course, a shit ton of tomatoes
So first we dice the onions and peel the garlic. If you thinks you have enough garlic, add more. There is no such thing as too much garlic
Next, add some olive oil to a big pan and heat it up. You can also never have enough oil in your food, so don't be shy
Fry it for some random time until it smells good, I'm not an expert at this.
Had excellent cheese at the restaurant ! Do you have any cheese in America ?
>>8383356
No, we don't have cheese here.
american """cheese"""

What kind of fucking question is this cunt.
Fuck off back to /b/ with your flame bollocks.
This is a board to discuss food and cooking not to start an argument.
Fucking newfag.
Anyone else have boomer relatives they're visiting now or will be? Why are these people so fucking picky?
Example 1. I bought 5 steaks for myself and several older relatives, and a cousin. 2 of the old fucks says "mushrooms and onions MUST be cooked in the same pan as the steaks at the same time". That's fine, if you're making 1 medium sized steak with enough mushrooms to go with it, but how the fuck can you do that with 5?
Example 2. I bought a bottle of wine, but "WINE DOESN'T GO WITH A MEAL THAT HAS SALAD" wtf? is this a thing?
Example 3 "Anon, put a ton of frozen peas in the basmati rice you just made, no no MORE....Anon, the rice is kind of mushy now, why do you like mushy overcooked rice?"
>>8383298
Why do you let yourself get bulldozed by a bunch of finicky fucks? Make reasonable food, which it sounds like you did, and they can eat it or not. Stop letting yourself be victimized. It really looks pathetic.
>>8383358
This. They may be your family but now it's your house and your call. They're the guests and they only get treated like guests if they give you the respect of a host.
>>8383298
Boomers are the most uncultured pieces of shit to ever slither out of a vagina.
These are people who spent money on pet fucking rocks, for Christ's sake.
There is nothing a boomer can ever tell you that you should consider good advice.
Help me /ck/
I inherited some shit teeth. Broke a tooth once chewing gum. Lost 3 adjacent molars on one side just a few days ago, and the other side is barely holding up, so I don't have too much chewing power. Most of the dishes I make were already easy to chew, but I'd like to expand my horizons if possible. Can you suggest ways to cook meats and veg to fit my needs? I was thinking of doing Korean bbq, but haven't tried yet. and I'm completely lost with veggies aside from using them in soups.
>>8383032
get your teeth pulled and get some dentures/implants. don't cry that it's too expensive.
>>8383032
Same here, barely any molars left
Good thing is that your gums thoughen up and you can kind of eat anything and barely notice
Bad part is that you will have to spend a fortune in fixing it and it will hurt like hell
>>8383032
Dam, why can't you yanks look after your teeth?

What's for breakfast?
>>8382925
My wife's pussy, and a coffee.
what is that an egg?
Does anyone have advice on how to get pork skin to come out crispy? Last time I made it, the meat was juicy, but the skin was chewy rather than that crunch I was hoping for.

It works for chicken - try a little baking powder?
Make sure it'svery dry before cooking.
>>8382579
Pat it dry and rub it with salt
I hate when you go someplace and the recipe has changed. Wendy's isn't even the same company anymore, as far as I'm concerned. The nuggets are the only thing that I think hasn't changed. Even the chili is different because they changed the beef.
McDonald's, to my knowledge, has not changed in my lifetime. Or it's been so gradual that I couldn't even see the changes over 30 years. My mom said the food used to be different, and I've seen pictures of it to verify.
I don't eat fast food for a good meal. I eat fast food because I'm depressed, and I need to know what I'm getting myself into. I can't have another disappointment ruining my day even more. The double quarter pounder has never let me down.
>>8382577
>The double quarter pounder has never let me down

It's even better if the fries are hot and fresh and you have an icy cold beverage handy.

Has /ck/ ever made sausages?
Recommended recipes?
I thought I'd start with a jalapeño and cheese sausage.
>>8382567
A trully great website with a lot of excellent recipes: meatsandsausages.com. Their information is accurate and they'll keep you safe if you follow their instructions. I've made a number of their recipes and they've all been good. If I remember correctly, I think they have a jalapeno sausage recipe.
>>8382567
What kind of stuffer do you have? I use the LEM 5lb manual crank.
>>8382567
Every year at Christmas my family makes 100 lbs of sausage. Usually it is split between Italian and Polish, with a small batch of something experimental.
Personally I find pic related too salt, whats a good alternative/ what's a good jerk seasoning recipe?
