So I've been traveling around Argentina for the last couple of weeks and one of my favorite things has to be Mate, I might replace coffee altogether. Thing is, I'm not very good at preparing the whole thing. Can someone from the Souther Cone give me a few tips?

I was gifted a De Buyer Mineral B pan, but I've never used cast iron before. Or carbon steel, which is apparently yet something different?

How do I ready this thing for cooking and what's it best used for? And more importantly, how do I clean it?

Ah an excellent question, my dear fellow browser. You see, you can use MANY forks for sushi, and all pictured are fantastic choices. If you would like to cut it up and take dainty little girly man bites, I would suggest the second fork. If you have no qualms about jamming it in, I would humbly suggest spearing all the slices of one roll on the last fork and eating it shish-ka-bob style. If possible, try and find a grill before you use that technique, since sometimes sushi has a habit of being undercooked.

I was in this benihana "build-your-own" bowl stirfry places in lake tahoe and I grabbed a scoop of garlic with my bowl, maybe 10-12 pieces, and handed the bowl over to the fry guys who were in the center, bunch of 20-something dudes, and the one dude picks up the bowl, looks at it, and then looks at me like I'm a half-a-fag or something, then looks back at the bowl and takes it and drops the stuff onto the fry area, then whispers something to his asshole buddy fryer and then he looks back at me a shrugs, so anyway that's why I wanted to ask /ck/

Yep. Not very good money value though. The meat shrinks a lot, the sauce doesn't make much for the volume, and you need some kind of filler to make a sating meal. True you can (and even should) use cheapest cut there is, but still you need loads of meat to make a decent pot of goulash.

What's the saddest holiday meal you've ever had?

For me, it was when I was stuck in my college town over Christmas (long story), nothing was open, and all I had was frozen pizza. The house was empty. I cooked the pizza and ate it silently in the kitchen with lot of beer and whiskey. That was a fun night.

So /ck/, im basically trying to start eating "healthier" and lose a few kilos even, so i need your best risotto/fried/boiled/etc rice recipes.

What my dinner consists now mostly is a chicken breast garnised with some kind of veggies/rice and i wanna make it more interesting.
I usually buy either some frozen risotto mix or just pure white rice and throw it with frozen veggie mix in a pan with some olive oil, but i seriously doubt the quality of those frozen vegetables in first place.
What are some easy, tasty, idiot-proof recipes that I could make quick-ish every evening for a dinner?

Just found out this is by far the GOAT McNugget sauce. I normally just get BBQ or sweet and sour. They should come with this hot mustard by default, it perfectly compliments the nugget.
