I love burritos, but Chipotle makes some really shitty burritos, even taco bell is leauges ahead of their burritos, and that's not saying much, since taco bell is shit.
>>8399191
taco cabana is perfect. taco bells fine. chipotle is meh. freebirds is bland as shit. and taco bueno is lol. any other taco place like taco john or taco casa doesn't matter.

is vietnam farm raised catfish healthy? i heard they eat shit but since everything that eats is full of shit i'm not sure how much it matters
pic related
I've researched the matter a while ago when I saw it in the store.
apparently these are classified at catfish, and for some reason catfish circumvent regulations about toxin levels. So what you are buying is a fish that comes from one of the most polluted water sources in the world with no regulation as to concentrations of toxins
also like tilapia it causes an inflammation response in your body when you eat it, so you are risking all the complications that come with that too
its one of those foods to eat when you are so poor and hard up for a meal that it's worth risking sickness because the alternative is starving to death

Tofu, burratta, ricotta
lentils & peas have the most protein. you could make a simple lentil, pea and potato yellow curry and serve it on toast or naan and get a decent amount in your breakfast.
reheat it in the morning because good curry takes like an hour.
whats up /ck/.
I'm making a buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch. what's a good spread to put on it? The recipe calls for mayo, but that seems a little bland. i'm not a huge fan of blue cheese either... any help?

Why are they criminally underrated?
cause they're always located in high criminal areas
>>8402788
Mostly this, minus the likely racist implications. But yeah, for one thing they're regional and for another they for some weird reason tend to be around low income areas specifically
However, they are good....it's not "fast casual" quality or anything it's on the same level as McDs and Wendy's and whatnot but that being said it's really good stuff and really cheap
>>8402788
Lol, I just noticed that.
Why is mayonnaise considered disgusting by many?
Many people are dumb.
>>8400347
mayonnaise is ok, but it gotta have a purpose, you can't just put it in everything you cook. it's the fat fucks eating it by the spoonful who give it that reputation.
also why is it associated with white people?

I just got a ton of deer meat from my gramps. Are there any special considerations when cooking venison that are different from beef? Any tips?
Its pretty lean, so I cook it with other fats typically. Imo it cooks faster than beef so watch for that. Pairs really well with fruits but nobody does it for some reason.
>>8405773
Depending on your venison, it can taste gamey. The mule deer around here kinda taste like sagebrush, since that's what they tend to eat. I usually add it to heavily seasoned dishes, like curry or chili in place of beef.

Fruit like apples and pears? Citrus? Acidic berries? What do you recommend?
Come, ye all, and share your stories of triumph, failure, and general shenanigans from this christmas' dinner.
>cooked a traditional christmas dinner of ham, turkey, stuffing, and sides
>realize to myself that I cooked this same damn thing last month, yet it somehow tasted better then
>invite family over
>15 year old cousin comes over, and he's fresh off the heals of the latest COD game
>tells me he's going to rape my turkey and teabag the ham
>he nudges grandma and asks her if she knows about COD
>grandma just wants to eat stuffing, she's not ready to deal with this asshat
>he brought his Xbox over and hooks it up to the living room tv
>a few other relatives join him
>they're eating on the couch, fucking plastic cups sitting precariously on the coffee table and floor
>I start serving coffee and pie in the dining room
>I hear him shouting insults while waiting for his match to start
>he tells his Xbox live rivals that he's using a guitar hero controller to play cod and that he uses the whammy bar to tbag
>I jump in and stop him when starts calling them niggers and faggots
>things are just about calming down, until my uncle informs me that grandma shat herself, and no one else wanted to deal with it
>mfw grandma asks if we have pecan pie while I'm wiping her ass
I just want some vegetables that aren't covered in cheese or mushroom soup. Is that too much to ask?

stop complaining and eat the corn
I recently started dating a Filipina and her family is making me try a bunch of different Filipino food - which I am absolutely okay with, because everything I've been given so far has been delicious! For Christmas they had me try dinuguan, which is pork blood stew (pictured).
Is there any kind of Filipino dish that I should watch out for, that they might get me to try and eat as a prank? So far everything I've been suggested to try has been fantastic.
If they make tamales w banana leaves, don't eat the banana leaves.
>Went to a Filipino dinner tonight, and tried eating a banana leave
>Learned it wasn't very edible

>tamales w banana leaves
Did you try to eat Mexican tamales with the corn husks, too? What is wrong with you?
