I bought 2 of these frozen turkey breast things (1kg/2.2lbs) at a cheap post Christmas clearance price.
I'm thinking of making a batch of frozen meals in containers that I can eat during the week with a few slices of Turkey and some vegetables and gravy.
I've done this before and they've frozen quite well but the gravy always turns into watery shit. What magic do they use in those sodium loaded frozen meals you buy at the supermarket to stop the gravy absorbing any other moisture inside the package and turning into runny brown piss?
I have only tried using instant gravy before and making it fat far thicker than what the package suggested so it was almost like a paste, but it still didn't really freeze and reheat that well.
Open to suggestions including making my own thick gravy from scratch if anyone has tips
are you freezing the gravy along with the turkey and vegetables? or are you freezing it separately?
I've been looking for a turkey load for a month now. I still can't find any. I really want one because it just seams so easy to use and make a decent one person meal with a slice or two, some gravy, potatoes and dressing

Any au apple junkies having a hard time? All that's left are very sad looking pink ladies, royal galas, red and golden delicious and they're all inedible. Only granny smiths are edible and only just. Jazz supplies dried up a month ago. I'd pay $20/kg for some good jazz apples right now.
Apple industry guy here, it was a real rough year here in the states. Hard to find much of anything. Late frosts threw everything off.

I was wondering why the apples this year have been so mushy. I cannot for the life of me find any decent ones at any grocer. Any suggestions?

What do they cost, $20? It's a cheap pan with a colored nonstick surface. Despite the ads, I wouldn't use metal utensils on it.
It will cook food if put over a heating element.
My buddies have never tried fondue and I have enjoyed it every time I have had it. However, I have never hosted it so I don't really know how to do it correctly.
I want their first time to be good so what does /ck/ recommend for fondue? What oils, cheese mixture, or other fondue related things? I'd like to have a variety of things available and I typically am the guy that only eats the meat.
cum in it
If first time, make chocolate fondue or if you are in Europe also cheese.
The chocolate one is served with pieces of fruit (Sliced banana, strawberries, orange in dices...)
The cheese one is served with diced toasted bread.
For the chocolate one you can just buy dark chocolate and melt it in a bowl floating in boiling water.
The cheese one is a little more complicated as it has a specific mix of cheese and wine on it. I all European supermarkets you can find it already prepared in a bag to just melt and enjoy. Maybe in America is also avaiable.
Those two are the easyest ones. I love with meats and olive oil, but wihout the proper equipment it's a litle dangerous

Try cubes of steak, tofu or big chunks of onion.

Fuck you
I'm biased because I'm from NY, but I can't really "get" other kinds of pizza. It's not that I don't enjoy them, I just really prefer a normal slice of pizza. All the extra shit, 2 inches of dough and 3 pounds of toppings just seems so excessive for a dish that is already so stellar when it's kept simple.
That being said, I can get behind a loaded pizza with onions/peppers/anchovies/mushrooms/etc, I just wouldn't pick it as my first. A nice thin folded slice of pizza NY style is always going to be my favorite.
Australian KFCs have fries (chips) and they are pretty good. this has been your Fun fa/ck/t
American KFCs don't?
UK KFC doesn't have mashed potato or gravy
Queensland has hot and spicy all year round as well as 9 pieces for $9.95 on Tuesdays.
But that's it, everything else here is shit.
can we have a decent webm thread?

I've got a bunch of leftover beef stew my mom made and it's not bad, but it's really bland. I think she put in some thyme with the chicken stock (and then added beef not chicken, for some reason) and that's the only spices.
What can I add to it? It's potatoes/onions/carrots/beef chunks in a chicken stock.

I've been making these sesame seed lavash lately. I roll them out to the 4 setting on my pasta roller. Simple and tasty. Great with hummus, baba ganoush, lox, or any dip.

Chinese green onion pancakes. Despite the name "pancake", they are made from dough and not batter.
>eggs two ways
This first idea came from some anon a few weeks ago in some random thread.
Boil and peel some eggs. Mix miso paste with honey/maple syrup.
>>8414602
Spread the miso mixture out on plastic wrap and place your eggs in the middle.
>>8414605
Wrap them up so that the miso marinade is completely covering the eggs.

4-5 days later put some rice on, mix up some dashi, mirin, and soy sauce, bring some fresh eggs to room temperature. When your rice cooker switches to the “keep warm” setting, wrap your fresh eggs in paper towels and place on top of the rice.
