I made some chili but the color is off and it's bland. Any tips, opinions?

The issue is that you had it stored in someone's stomach for an hour. Try a refrigerator instead!

Hey guys. I'm worried about my vitamin B12 consumption, as I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian (mostly). I heard that you can only get B12 from either animal sources or supplementing. I'm eating this for dinner tonight and I notice that it has a lot of B12 in it, even though it's vegan. I just read on the internet that the vitamin B12 in plants is not the kind that you want, apparently. What do you think?
Also, how much B12 does one need in a day, exactly? Is 3 hard boiled eggs good as a staple?
Sorry if I sound like a dumbass, I'm new to the whole nutrition thing.
how the fuck could you be a vegetarian but be uninformed about nutrition? did you watch a video of a cow getting smashed in the head on YouTube and conclude hurr i don't like that?
>vegetarian
>buys overpriced meme tv dinners

Why are beans on toast the poster food when it comes to mocking british cuisine?
I mean I get that the Brits eat a lot of weird shit, but there is plenty of tasty food, too.
I got a can of baked beans on a whim and didn't know what to do with them. Didn't feel like cooking tonight, so
>lel, let's try it
I stand corrected, bretty gud.
they seem to be the current one because toast sandwiches and jellied eels were getting old.

Because it's convenient, cheap sustenance that doesn't require any actual cooking skills. And while it is actually pretty tasty it's the kind of depressing meal a uni student or lonely bachelor would whip up. There's a grimness to it that people frequently associate with British cuisine.
American sugar baked beans barely resemble heinz tomato baked beans, so there is a misconception about how this meal tastes.
It's also pretty drab and one dimensional without lots of doctoring.
Food gore.

Pizza is fine!
that pizza didn't seem that bad. iirc he mainly complained about the grease... with the sausage and the american style of putting cheese on the entire pizza (sans crust), some grease is unavoidable. then he claimed the crust was raw, but I don't think it actually was. I remember the server was a qt too.
anyway yeah I'd eat that pizza.

even the other workers agreed that the crust was still doughy inside.
i'd still eat it desu

How the hell does anyone drink this shit? It tastes like something they discovered while degreasing a flavoring factory. It's so cloying that it ruins a rum & coke. I even tried making a caramel sauce with it just to get rid of it, thinking that would at least be serviceable on ice cream. HAHAHA NOPE, despite pouring half a bottle in, all that was left in the sauce was the coloring. All the aromas and obnoxious flavors instead wafted through my house and sent my cat running out the door in the middle of a snowstorm. The sauce was left so flavorless as to be practically unusable. Seriously, how do they manage to sell this squid piss?
it's decent. if they weren't trying to charge the same price as average rum I'd buy it
>>8527213
It's good for people who like spiced rum. I personally don't ever want to drink rum of any kind. Beer, whiskey, and tequila for me.
posting the superior black rum. cheap as hell and you can drink it on ice
How do you eat them? Straight out of the package or in the toaster first?

Toaster. Cuts out a tiny bit of the despair
>400 calories for two pastries
Knowledge ruins everything
After toasting, I break off all four edges where the filling stops and eat those first. Now the edges of the filled pocket are exposed and the unfrosted backing can be separated from the frosted side. I eat the unfrosted back once it's separated. Finally, I am left with the frosted side which I fold into itself so that it is a bit like a smaller, ragged pop tart with frosting on front and back and no plain edges. I eat this last though by the time I get to this step, it's no longer as hot as I'd like. I don't go to the trouble of further reheating because if this process got anymore involved, I would have to kill myself afterward
I try not to eat them too often

So I've been making Curry for awhile now, and although the sauce is pretty good. The chicken always comes out really bland. I've tried marinating it in plain yogurt overnight. Chicken breast is still bland, and tried thighs also but still bland. I just don't know what to do. Been doing the curry on a slow cooker.
Any tips on making chicken taste better?
>>8531390
The chicken I buy tastes awesome with just salt and pepper. Obviously I do more with it than just add salt and pepper, but I really don't need to. Maybe the problem is the chicken you buy.
Try searing the chicken first
Try steak instead
