I just now discovered the beauty of omelettes. This is my first. Rate?
>>8539186
For a first, not bad. I'd suggest 1-2 more eggs next time so it's thicker, as well as a bit of water before mixing so it's fluffier.
>>8539188
Thanks! I think I might cook it a teensy bit more too since it felt a little liquidy. The water stuff seen a like a neat trick.
Oh duh I completely forgot to use green onions! I meant to. And it's just some deli Turkey I had in the fridge.
Do people really season red meat with salt?
can someone explain this seasoning meme to me?
did people finally catch on to how pretentious and phony it is when chefs sprinkle seasoning down from several feet in the air above the dish?

it's so that it spreads out evenly.

>Previous research found that ultrasound waves can help extract chemicals from plant tissues.
>Ultrasounds are pressure waves that cause tissues to rupture, releasing bioactive compounds stored within cells at a higher rate.
>The researchers found that after only three days of ultrasound treatment, they produced spirits that were similar to brandies aged for years.
>Eight trained judges, including some of the researchers, deemed the resulting spirits nearly as good as traditional brandies.
>The researchers are now also investigating whether or not ultrasound can help lead to better aged wines.
>“We hope that the results for wines are as good as the results for spirits,” García said.

That is fucking rad but also props up this idea that I have that in the near future, synthetically grown meat, booze like this, and gmo vegetables will take prominence and that natural foods will became the sole domain of the rich. You already have it with places like whole foods
>>8539042
is there something necessarily wrong with that? I'm anti-rich in every sense of the word, but more plentiful, better quality, sustainable foodstuffs like that are kind of a universal good.
The idea of meat-from-animals being a delicacy for only the hyperrich does sound like sci-fi horror, but the idea of plentiful, nutritious, cheaper food for all is kind of sci-fi utopia.
Anyone here tried chinchilla? I had one for about a year now and recently the thoughts crossed my mind, can i eat her after she passes? Unless it dies from sickness or old age, or some fucked up reason.
Any chinchilla recipes?
>>8538999
make a glove out of it too
>>8539014
that would be an awesome fapping glove
>>8538999
I imagine you could. Chinchillas are related to rabbits and guinea pigs, both of which are eaten as food. Rabbits are commonly eaten all over the place and guinea pig is a big deal in south america (same place chinchillas come from)
There will be very little meat on it though. I've had chinchillas as pets before. They look big but that's just all the poofy fur. It probably wouldn't be worth the effort as you'll get very little meat.
As for how to prepare it, I'd look at recipes for similar animals like rabbit, guinea pig, and squirrel.
would you eat this homemade pizza

>my local Taco Bell opens every morning at 7:00
>practically FUCKING NO ONE comes in for breakfast, ever; they haven't had one busy breakfast shift since they rolled out this menu a couple years ago
What a shitty business decision. They don't even have the Waffle Taco anymore. Why haven't they discontinued this menu yet? It's a waste of food and operation costs, I'm willing to bet they probably throw away all those unsold eggs and sausage because no one buys them. I genuinely forgot Taco Bell even serves breakfast until I stopped in on a whim a couple mornings back.
It wasn't even popular when it started out; I was a senior in high school when they started selling breakfast and once or twice a week for a couple months I'd stop in for a quick bite on my way to school - never saw more than 1 or 2 other people in the lobby. Blows my fucking mind.
Stoners aren't up at 7 a.m. and all the other people prefer to have diarrhea after work/school. This is probably why they thought a menu change was a good idea in the first place. I worked at taco bell way back when I was in high school and there were hardly any customers before 10 a.m. I think most people just don't think of it as a breakfast place.
You should go around the breakfast time ends and ask them for all the egg they were about to throw away
>>8538748
Yeah I'm sure they'll just give it to you. They'll probably give you some money out of the till too because now they don't have to throw the eggs away so you're doing them a favor.

Do "tendies" always refer to chicken meat, or can it include duck, geese, or even soft breaded/fried cuts of red meat like beef?

How do you keep your kitchen clean? I use frying pans all the time so from the splatter everything is oily all the time. What do?
You just need a sponge and some dishwashing liquid
A rag soaked in dish water (that's hot water+dish soap).
Are you 4 years old?
>>8538673
and you do this every day?
Why the hell do people use 80/20 ground beef? Even when it's fresh it smells like beef tallow and poverty. Why did I buy this?
