I doubt many hamburgers have a panade.

A Hamburger refers to the patty and the bun and all ingredients together in one piece. If you were referring to just the meat, you would call it a hamburger patty. A meatball, but comparison, only refers to the meat. You don't put a hamburger in anything (except your mouth), while a meatball you combine with a larger dish.

Comparing hamburger patties with meatballs, the shape is different, as well as the types of spices used to prepare it (since they are used in different dishes). Also, meatballs are a little more difficult to cook, and fall apart easier, so recipes typically call for something like bread crumbs and/or eggs to make it easier to maintain the shape.

Who the fuck wants to touch utensils that 100 other random customers have touched, and then go sit down and eat? In the 80's and early '90's there were some large casinos that had really good buffets, because the plebe gamblers would gamble at the best comped food location since they'd lose the same amount wherever they went. It was successful for awhile, but then they the casinos woke up and realized these fuckers will gamble no matter what you slop in their trough.

Other than that, there's never been decent buffet food in 'murrica. Don't forget, you're very likely to have some special snowflake dip his/her/other hands into the food bin or even more likely, an alzheimers patient slobbering into it.

I'm going to throw my ribs on around 10ish because I want to have plenty of time to eat and shower before kick.

Chances are I'll be bombed before kick. I have a weird obsession with being drunk while cooking and being wasted while smoking meat.
