How is that even possible? Chances are you've had the dish before, or at least seen it before, otherwise why would you be motivated to learn to make it?
...and even if you suddenly got the urge to cook a random dish you've never seen before, you have this thing called the internet. You can find pictures of the food, videos of it being made, etc. That should easily put into context whether someone means 3 oz vs a whole fucking gallon.

I bought a home yogurt maker and the manufacturer says you should'nt eat it if it has bubbles on it. I couldn't find any other source on this, and I do remember eating yogurt both industrial and homemade with bubbles on them and never really felt bad. I know carbonation isn't supposed to happen, but is it harmful?
I think it'll be fine under the top layer, just scrape that bubbly looking bit off if it bothers you.
