a Church's Chicken just opened up in my town
are they good?
>>8565204
Had a friend who lost all the skin on his right leg in a Church's, their jalapeno poppers are okay of fresh, biscuits are trash.
you might want to consider moving to a better neighborhood
Yeah, they're good. Better fried chicken than KFC, sometimes they come out with interesting limited time items too.
I just made scones for the first time. I have Cheese and Jalapeno peppers in them.
They taste good but I wish I had some sort of sauce or relish or jam to eat them with. What would you guys recommend?
>>8565180
Homemade pork sausage patty, over easy egg, slice of sharp cheddar, and salted butter
>>8565180
maybe an onion marmalade would go well with the cheese?
>>8565180
I'd gorge on those with sausage gravy.
eating one of these right now ama
>>8565079
Nothing to ask. I think it's the best thing they've released in years. finally something pulled me out of my usual order of a grilled stuft burrito with steak and a 7-layer.
>>8565079
any good?
>>8565087
delicious. Not sure it's worth the 3 bucks, but it's quite good. It's basically a chicken schnitzel with a salad in it. But it works.

Which Sausage is best?
For me it's the Pork Sausage, the best meat encapsulated by intestine.
>>8565063
I feel sad that you think a plain pork sausage is "the best".
Sausages are awesome because you can stuff all kinds of different meats and flavors into them. My personal favorite is chicken, spinach, and feta cheese in a pig intestine.
Scottish faggots. The best sausage in the history of sausage, and second only to Freddy Mercury in the history of faggots.

Ah you're an American. That explains the stupidity.
is japaense food bland? everything just tastes of mirin
is <x> food bland? everything just tastes of <something that x generally use>
>>8564897
give an example of another cuisine that has one flavour that is as ubiquitous as mirin is in japanese food
>>8564889
Don't be silly, of course it's not all bland, just like most world cuisines are not bland across the board.
Do you need examples?
Is there any meat that tastes good when not seasoned (not even salt)?
PROTIP: No.
>>8564888
Nothing tastes good unseasoned.
>>8564888
Fry it

The first thing you failed at was deciding to deep fry a candy bar. You know this, right?

Poor University student here. I'm considering buying a months worth of MREs. What do you guys think in terms of health and cost-efficiency?
Well if you don't like food I guess it's good enough way to keep you alive.
>>8564738
Well you can certainly live off them, but I doubt it's cheaper than buying regular food, even if you don't have a kitchen.
Have fun shitting bricks
Is the thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus) the most patrician berry/pseudo-berry/etc.?
>Soft and highly-perishable, therefore rarely sold fresh
>Smaller and therefore more concentrated and intense flavors than raspberries or similar berries
>A rich unique taste that complements the soft texture
These things grow wild in my yard - and I eat them all, because they are delicious - but if I were inclined to do so, I could carefully pluck them and resell them for 10-15X the price of commercial raspberries to local cooks.
>>8564675
Do you get enough to make jam with them? You could probably do well making and selling jam at the farmers market or something also.
>>8564680
I could make a certain amount, but people in some regions (the Upper Midwestern US) already do that, and it's actually a big price reduction from being bale to convey them fresh.
They start dehydrating and losing their texture within a couple days, so unless you can sell them fresh within hours, they lose value.
>>8564684
Ah okay. Makes sense I suppose. You could try reaching out to chefs at places near you and see if they are interested. Maybe let them try some for free and see what they decide. Otherwise I would just stick to eating them all yourself and enjoy the fact that you are lucky enough to have them.
