Do you ever eat in your bed /ck/? Sometimes I like to have entire large meals laying in my bed watching cartoons.

FTFY
I have a tiny old 80s tv in my bedroom hooked up to get local channels, one of which plays a few episodes of Roseanne in a row every night. I make a point to hop on my bed propped up on some pillows and watch it, and about half-way through I'll grab some almond crackers(no crumbs) and tuna/guacamole that I've pre-portioned into little snack baggies and tiny containers.
It's pretty fun.
I make my bed every morning so even if there were a few crumbs they'd be easy to brush off the old quilt I lay on top.
Sadly though they're about to hit the last season and I'm never watching that garbage again, so I'll have to find something else to do for a while until they cycle back around to the beginning. I hope they don't switch to something else. I came in this time on the 6th season... I guess I can watch it off my laptop.. but that wouldn't be as fun...
Sometimes when I'm depressed I'll drink in bed. Does that count?
Quick question: does the food you feed an animal actually affect how it will taste later? I'm in a position to receive a few young chickens and hogs, and I want to know if there's stuff I can do to make them tastier.
Also looking for tasty chicken and pork recipes.
I can't imagine for a second that anyone will reply to this thread having actually read your post content.

Christ, you're one of those faggots that has nothing better to do than scrutinize every pixel in a posted image. Did you not hear your mom calling to crawl out of her basement for your tendies? Fucking faggot.
Is going to the coffee shop and people-watching a autistic hobby?
>>8614179
wow OP you sound like a really deep and interesting guy
>>8614179
If you've got time on your hands, money in your pocket and no particular plans why not? That's kind of what the coffee shop is for.
>>8614179
I wish I had a coffee shop nearby.
The nearest one is 3 cities away and completely decked out with all the stereotypical hipster accoutrements.

Can you guys post some of your favourite recipes, I am looking for somethings I can cook and get 4 portions, i like to eat one portion right away, keep one in the fridge and 2 in the freezer then I always have home cooked food to eat.
Every time I search google It just comes up with these "10 best recipe" bullshit and it's recipes for single portions.
preferably cheap recipes if possible but all are welcome.
I normally cook things like chilli and Shepard/cottage pies, fish pies, pasta bakes, soups, quiches, but I want to diversify and find new things.
Also a lot of recipe websites I visit are not up to much either, try looking on pinterest and other places but they are all samey kind of 1 or 2 portion meals. Do you have any favourite recipe websites or youtube channels?
a lot of recipes I am finding that are written by users on recipe sharing sites are just awful, like one recipe called for 2-3 TABLESPOONS of flour to thicken a sauce.... TABLESPOONS.. i used 3 teaspoons and it was perfect, if i had followed the recipe I would have had thick bread soup.
thank you!

Swabian Lentils with Spaetzle. I recommend Knackwurst to pair with it.
-5 slices thick cut bacon, diced
-1 large yellow onion, finely diced
-1 tablespoon butter
-1 carrot, finely diced
-1 leek, finely chopped, thoroughly rinsed and drained
-1 pound dried brown lentils, rinsed and drained (no need to soak)
-7 cups beef broth
-1 bay leaf
-1 teaspoon salt
-Ā¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
-1 teaspoon white sugar
-Ā¼ cup white vinegar
-A bunch of fucking SpƤtzle
1. Cook the bacon over medium-high heat until done. Transfer to a plate. Cook the onion until soft and translucent 5-7 minutes. Add the butter, carrots and leek and cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add the lentils, bacon, broth, bay leaf, salt, pepper and sugar and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Add the vinegar and parsley and simmer another 3-4 minutes. If too thick for your taste, add a little extra beef broth. Add more salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar to taste.
3. Serve over hot Homemade German SpƤtzle with a sausage (preferably German Saitenwurst if you can find it).

bouef bourguignon was my favorite when i was cooking for myself, soups are also great for eating multiple days. also it doesnt harm to make large batches of something when you got some time and freeze it, i regulary do dumplings, springrolls, bolognese, stock for soups and other things.
for dumplings ill write you down a quick recipe for the filling, buy frozen wonton wrappers, for the rest you can easily find standard recipes online.
>500g fatty pork
>4 springonions
>1 tbsp shaoxing wine
>1 tbsp sugar,1tbsp salt,1tsp pepper
>some very finely minced ginger
anything else you want, sliced dried shitake,a dash of soysauce...
if you want to be extrasure sear a tiny amount of the mixture and taste it, adjust.
id just bulk it and do that with 1-1.5 kg of pork, chill in front of the tv for 1 hour and just fold dumplings, maybe get a friend to help to speed it up. for best result freeze seperately, then combine in a bag/box when frozen, serve with black vinegar or any other sauce you like
>>8613995
very nice, I like this, simple and I get to try making homemade SpƤtzle for the first time. ty.
>>8614009
Excellent! once again simple and something new I can try. do you have a spring roll recipe by chance? love spring rolls but I only get them when I order Chinese takeout, never made my own before. ty.
Why do people always complain about the price of milkshakes?
People don't like to shake their own milk.
>>8613631
Because they don't understand the cost/value pricing of ice cream.
>>8613631
Because they have about 400% markup. It is reasonable considering all the costs of running a milkshake-centric business, especially if they have low traffic, but seems harsh for the average person.
As a challenge I have been trying to work with only ingredients from "the new world" as in I can't use anything from afroeurasia. As you can probably tell this makes things difficult.
The thing I need the most is an ingredient which has a flowery or perfume flavor like lavender or rose. Do you know what I could use?
Also finding good green veggies native to the Americas is hard. Everything is either sour/sweet to some degree or is a bitch to plate attractively.
Corn tortillas, Avocados, Turkey, Tomatoes, peppers
>>8613471
For greens: amarinth, nettles, purslane, chickweed, plantain, lambsquarter are not bitter. Dandelion greens when young are not bitter. Both older dandelion and curled dock can be soaked in several changes of water or boiled to reduce bitterness. Young pokeweed is not bitter, but don't fool with the mature plants as they become toxic.

I have actually tried to grow amaranth before by planting some grains I got from the store. It grew but I realized I had no idea if amaranth for greens versus grains were different cultivars or any other growing requirement for tasty greens for that matter. So I opted against trying to eat it.

Thoughts?
For me personally I think this stuff is delicious.
I couldn't imagine myself hating it.
>>8612715
That stuff is disgusting, and not only can I imagine myself hating it, I can also imagine you hating it.
>>8612715
I don't have a hateboner for it like some people but too much of it really is just awful. I can tolerate a few pieces or like a handful but even then I'd much rather just have some red licorice which I could never get tired of eating.
It's delicious, just like root beer and sassafras and ginger and all the other root flavors.
