So I went to Subway today and I just had to do it. I only ordered a 12 inch Italian Herb and Cheese Bread. My verdict...it was the best thing I ever tasted. The cheese combined with the cardboard type of bread is god-like.
Am I the only one who has ever done this...what's your opinion?
>>8678621
huh.. will they actually just sell you the bread?
What does it cost?
>>8678626
The guy at the counter looked at me like I was crazy, but he saw I was dead serious. He asked if I wanted any vegetables, I said no. He put the bread in the bag and rung me up for $3.
>>8678635
Wow. That's really interesting...
I would imagine 3 bucks at a local grocery store would get you quite a bit more bread... maybe even stuff that doesn't taste like cardboard.
What made you do this anon?
What's that weirdest thing you have ever eaten? Personally it was goldfish we caught out of a pond. Friends said kill them, but dad didn't want raccoons, so we cooked them. Pretty bad actually.
>>8678552
Shark.
Had a shark vindaloo at Rick Stein's famous seafood resteraunt in Cornwall.
This was 14 years ago though to be fair.
>>8678552
I have eaten some weird stuff. Gator was gross and spongy. My ex once made a thankgiving dinner that was aweful. My stepdaughter and i tried to eat it. The turkey was so dry, swallowing it gagged me. First and last time she cooked for me.

>My stepdaughter
lmao
Thoughts on my Kraft mac and cheese with authentic Italian white truffle?
>no doritos
cmon op
>>8678370

A disgrace to Canadian cuisine
Shred those pieces into fine bits so you can mix it in you magnificent devil.
Got any other "good" stuff in your pantry you can use?
Is it possible to get strong coffee from a modern percolator? Was it ever possible in old fashioned ones? What happened?
>>8678348
Cowboy coffee
>>8678360
>Cowboy coffee
That's not percolator though.
Modern? I don't understand, why not just use a standard percolator? All it is is bubbling water over coffee grounds.
I tried the french press, but I didn't like the coffee, my percolator is better, makes tastier coffee. I find the coffee is stronger when I bring the water to percolation temp slower, it lets the coffee get moist before the water start running over it. If you want it stronger you could perc it longer, or just add more grounds.
How do I make good fried rice? I have day old brown rice, ground pork, bacon, onion, veggies, egg, and okra, and shit like sesame oil, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce.
t. gwai lo
>>8678320
I have heard that you should use ground chicken boullion and dashi... but the rest of your ingredient list sounds about right.
Stop using day old rice though.. that's not necessary... if you are going to use it, heat it up first before throwing it in your hot pan.
>>8678354
I don't have dashi, but I might have chicken boullion
>>8678354
>Stop using day old rice though.. that's not necessary
Maybe not necessary, but it's nice. Also, OP, I like to drop a little hoison in there
so whats the best snacks for trips? it doesnt stop long so cant eat at rest stops either.
Spicy dried sausages.
>>8678067
Something really stinky, like kimchi or leftover egg salad sandwich.
>>8678067
beef jerky.
fishermens friends
What's for dinner? I made chicken.
I made these, except with refried black beans, and I put salsa on top of the cheese. It's a poorfag week for me.
>>8678066
I don't know how to describe the looks of this "dish"
Is it overcooked or not cooked at all?
It looks like biting into it would dry my mouth out like the saharan desert, but it also looks like a slimy piece of uncooked fowl.
Whatever seasoning you put on it is burnt to literal charcoal, so I imagine each bite is filled with the bland stringy texture of bad chicken, and also the unpleasant chalky bitterness of charcoal.
I mean, just, WOW.
How do you do it, anon?
It's so bad it's like art
>>8678066
Nice 10-Ds, OP.

Why are they so happy to eat good food? /ck/ told me working at a restaurant would destroy all joy of cooking and food
Answer me u fucks
>>8678280
Do it
>>8678055
It does ruin it
The last time I had one of these was back in grade school
Where can you even buy these?
A gas station on my block has them.
Maybe a gas station on your block will have them too.
Don't buy them, make them!
they have frozen ones at the grocery store.
Alright /ck/ im going to whip up some tuna salad and i need ideas. I know its simple but that is exactly why im telling you anon. What do you add to your tuna salad? How do you spice it up? What do you recommend?
Are you /fit/?
Lemon Juice
Celery Seed
Mayo
S&P
Just like every other meat salad
Tuna benefits from little crunchy bits which usually ends up being chopped onion
rate my steak
>>8677732
looks good but why didn't you cook the inside
What's the wine like? I keep seeing it in my local store but never pull the pin. Some people say it's too sweet, some people say it's awesome.
>>8677732
did you forget to sear it?
Rate my dinner/gas station haul

Dead at 45/10
>>8677728
Lol
>>8677712
Pretty good, but point deducted for no pouch of chewing tobacco.
Who else is rocking a frozen dinner tonight?
Here we have Lean Cuisine chicken alfredo, enhanced with some freshly-grated Parmigiano Reggiano (the real imported stuff), a packet of Domino's cheese, and a little garlic Tabasco. Not shown: the black pepper I grated on afterwards.
This stuff really isn't too bad if you just spruce it up a bit.
whenever I microwave a frozen dinner I swear it smells like fish even if it doesn't have fish
anyone else ever notice that?
Are there any frozen meals out there worth eating?
Sometimes I think about getting one of the more upscale looking ones but it just doesn't seem worth it.
>>8677770
They taste...okay, I guess, but you're only going to get like 2 mouthfulls of food.
This is some of the best coffee I've ever had.
>>8677569
Okay
>>8677569
t. Trader Joe's shill
but for real, that was roasted too dark for me. I've tried a few of TJ's coffees and they were all really burnt tasting and tasted stale. If this is the best coffee you've ever had, you should expand your palate and try some microroast coffees
>>8677569
You've not had any decent coffee then
Just got this cutting board for $4, it looks pretty decent, seems to be in good shape, no cracking or anything like that. If I oil it am I good to go? Should I sand it down first even though it doesn't look like it needs it?
>>8677521
What is it made out of? I wouldn't sand it personally. You'll have to finish it with something like beeswax after.
>>8677538
I've got no idea on the type of wood sadly, but it's end grain, and quite heavy.
and i've got this stuff to rub on it.
>>8677521
1) Start a fire with applewood
2) Place cutting board on top of fire on raised platform
3) Leave for 24 hours
4) Wa la
I did this with my board. It's hardwork keeping the fire going so take a day off work to season your board. Your welcome.
