Have they ever managed to make a whole new species of plant that is both edible and delicious?
If they can splice fish DNA into a tomato, why aren't there all kinds of delicious designer foods available?
>>8706751
>why aren't there all kinds of delicious designer foods available?
This is one of my gripes as well.
Sadly, the focus of GMOs, empirically, has been all cost-related. Higher yields, better disease resistance (related to a higher *sellable* yield), better survivability during long-distance transport, and so on.
>why aren't there all kinds of delicious designer foods available?
Because the people creating these monstrosities have no idea what they're doing, and have no clue what the long term consequences will be.
I don't know, have you ever eaten broccoli, kale, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts or basically any fucking farm product which are all universally a result of creating new cultivars of existing plant species?
Rice on whole wheat bread. Is this the best sandwich?

Salt the rice.

Where can I buy those those small dehydrated shrimp you find in cup noodles?
>>8706176
Most Asian grocery stores sell them. They generally come in one pound bags.
>>8706176
A pet store
You can't. You need to cook some shirmp and dehydrate them yourself.
Trying to lose weight, what are some snacks with little calories? I'm tired of eating pickles.

Gonna visit the UK this summer
Ive had british breakfast on a plane once, it was shit
Should I order spotted dick?
What are those pubs with a carving station for meat? Ive watched the Inbetweeners
>plane food is shit
Shocker.
If you're in London get breakfast at Hawksmoor to be blown away, or at E. Pelicci (Bethnal Green), or Maggies (Lambeth....though I've no idea why you'd visit Lambeth) for a more traditional experience.
Sure, spotted dick is pretty nice
Only pensioners go to carveries

I dont eat breakfast. A cup of coffee, then huge lunch and tiny meals until dinner.
I try to eat 5 a day.
God bless this wonderful nation.

Are non-stick pans a meme?
They either don't work, or they do work and last about two weeks and become like normal shitty pans.
start with the cast irons
>>8705551
Mine always last longer than that. Though they do have a shelf life after so much use. Don't use metal on the surface, it will tear up the coating. I keep one in the house, easy to cook eggs on vs stainless
>>8705551
have you tried not scrubbing your non-stick pans with steel wool
Can any other fast food be as good as mcdonalds

Enjoy your low quality corn syrup
fucking bad ass shit, I grab one at DG whenever. For the record, high fructose corn syrup is the sweetest best tasting sweeter you can get, period explanation mark.!
>Anyone can cook.
Is this true?
I mean yeah, with enough practice and perseverance anyone can do almost anything

>onions, worcestershire sauce, salt + black pepper, red chili flake, small amount of paprika, oyster sauce
>peanut butter
>cook beef peanut butter mixture
>top with shredded cheddar
>throw on top of steamed jasmine rice
it's bretty gud
>>8703710
>it's bretty gud
Fuck off. All of you always say that something is "good" when you're high.
>music
>food
>movies
It's hard to take your opinion seriously when you fucks have no taste and lap up everything as being "good".
>>8703710
I once made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sans peanut butter while out of my mind on mushrooms . Upon tasting it, it was one of those moments where you immediately and truly regret your actions.

never said i was a culinary genius i jus like to munch and crunch my man
I want to get more into tea but I always find infusers to be a pain in the ass to clean and just overall more of a hassle for almost no better experience compared to bags, especially when talking about a company like David's Tea that offers many of the same varieties in both. Is loose leaf a meme? If not, does anyone have an easy to clean infuser they want to recommend?
tea is for women
>easy to clean infuser
It's called a teapot.
Also stop going to David's Tea, shit's garbage trash.
What's hard to clean about this? Run it under the tap for 5 seconds.
Of course, if you're buying expensive pyramid teabags, there's probably not a huge amount of difference.

id like some real food
i don't really get fresh fruits and vegetables there unless i can freeze them because its just me
I go to sam's club, pretty much the same thing.
I mainly go there for the meat. Typically frozen chicken breasts, and a bunch of really thick cut boneless pork chops, and some ground beef which I portion out at home and freeze. A 2.5 lb bag of smoked turkey deli meat, a giant thing of eggs, fruit (apples, strawberries, bananas, avacados), I stopped buying vegetables because they always go bad before I can finish them and the price isn't that much better than buying them from my local grocery... canned vegetables/soups, bag large of beans, the giant bags of rice are WAY too big.. a giant jar of pickles, a giant jar of mixed nuts, a giant bag of popcorn(more than one if they're on sale), bread, cheese, giant tub of hummus.. and about once a year I get a box with enough garbage bags to last the rest of the year... and replacement heads for my electric toothbrush.. soap.. a multi-pack of dishwashing liquid.. some other crap...
