What do hard boiled eggs taste like?
I don't know.
How about you make one.

I made about a dozen BBQ recipes from BBQ Pit Boys. Shit was cash!
>>9381461
I'm going down to the house of sausage
I just put a teaspoon of mustard in my tzatziki, it came out better than regular tzatziki. I recommend you do the same when you've got the possibility.
Anyway, food hacks thread.

>food hacks
Didn't realise this was the food and cooking subreddit.
>>9381172
I'd rather have a Reddit thread than yet another shitty McTuckey Fired Pizza Bell chicken thread.
>>9381186
For me it is the McChicken, the best fast food sandwich.
How do i get goot at frying shit? Just cooked chicken patties, and when i started eating i noticed pink parts, some even had blood. Now im paranoid i'll get salmonella or some shit. Last time i bought beef patties from store i undercooked them too, when i cut them in half they looked as if i just took them out of the fridge, although there were black crust on the outside.
some falling for the "xd bro not well done" meme
>>9381160
Looks like your oil was not hot enough and you took the food out too soon. Also, cut your fingernails.
>>9381160
There's already a Jack thread going.
*burps* how jealous are you dumbass idiots of my sunday shmoregizbored?
Looks okay, but you're gonna feel like shit later.
If you handed me this I'd absolutely consume it, but I'm a degenerate with no self control.
>>9381075
I'm actually quite jealous. My dad has put off going to the grocery store for like three days and I'm starving and I really just want to pig out.
Why would you willingly ingest KFC in the year 2017? You didn't even get the only acceptable flavor of 4 loco
Irredeemable trash 0/10
Pigs heart. Best way season and cook??

s+p, fire
>>9381057

best way not the simplest.
Has anyone been to a good japanese market, what are some must gets since a Marukai is a bit far and I'm going for the first time. Looking for good snacks, sauces, and other such items for cooking.
>>9380922
I usually stock up on those single serving curry packets (I like J&B brand) as my local more generic Asian markets usually don't carry them. Nearest Japanese market is a 40 mile drive for me so I know how you feel.
>>9380922
This isn't a snack, persay, but you should definitely buy some Japanese purple sweet potatoes. They're really nutritious and you can do a lot with them.
For snacks, you can buy a 15 pack of quail eggs. I like to hardboil them and pickle them. There should also be mochi ice cream in the freezer section if you have a sweet tooth!
Frozen or refrigerated sun noodle ramen kits.
>he boils his mashed potato
>no baking the potato's and scooping out the insides to mash
Lmaoing at your life
boiling them prevents the stupid green shit from showing up and ruining them
>>9380626
What I do
what I do I says is boil them, then put them in the oven for half hour to get the water out, then mash them
Baking them makes them all oily like in OP's pic related.
What are some uncommon flavors of certain dishes? I don't often see donuts with white glaze. They really are a Rarity.
>>9380618
I don't often see hamburgers with cheese on them. People call them cheeseburgers, I think. They really are a rarity.
Anchovie ice cream
Ticklenuts
avocado as a topping on pizza
yey or nay?
heresy
Gtfo with that shit faggot.

Jesus...
Post breakfast. I'm at Red headed roasties at George Bush Intercontinental airport.
A pint of Lioni ricotta, a pint of blueberries, 2 mugs of aeropress colombia familia gomez from metropolis, 20g whey protein isolate, 2 gelcaps of wild salmon oil, 4000 IU vitamin D, 5g creatine monohydrate, and 2 fistfuls of unsalted peanuts
>>9380365
is this some kind of wendy's spinnoff like how hardees has carls junior or what's the deal
>>9380365
so you have a date huh
Are these a meme? Do they actually provide anything? Keep in mind you are usually only eating a few at best per meal.
>>9380350
They add a lot of flavor. They're the primary spice used in Italian style meatballs.
>>9380350
Absolutely helpful of making a lot of dishes lift and feel fresh and taste fresh. I never used fresh parsley (Dried is pointless) until recently and it made all my pasta dishes better, all my meat dishes better. I like flatleaf more than italian. Not even slightly a meme and thats why everyone uses it.
>>9380350
DRIED parsley is lovely and used in a lot of Italian dishes. Fresh parsley tastes like soapy ass.
Do you live with a vegetarian? What sort of foods do you and they enjoy, and do you prefer to cook separately or compromise?
If you cook and eat together then what are some nice foods you can both enjoy while maintaining a healthy balance of nutrition?
>>9380181
Not currently, but I have in the past.
I did most of the cooking. I just cooked the same things I normally do. The pretty standard western fare of a protein, one or more vegetables, and a starch. The vegetarian simply didn't eat the protein if I cooked meat. If I cooked fish, tofu, shellfish, etc, then the vegetarian would eat it.
Sometimes I'd make foods that were pretty much impossible to remove the meat from: stews, soups whose stocks were meat-based, etc. That wasn't an issue since we always had plenty of leftovers that the vegetarian would eat, or if I made side dishes that were veg then they'd eat those.
Plus, it's not as if I used meat in every meal so often times they were vegetarian simply by accident.
I think this only becomes an issue if you cook lazy and make only one dish, and that happens to be meat-based. With the normal spread of a main or two plus some sides you invariably end up with a good balanced diet that has plenty of meat-free options.
>>9380211
>vegetarian
>eats fish
what the fuck is wrong with your brain?
>>9380222
You'd have to ask them, not me.
The person in question called themselves a vegetarian, though they ate dairy as well as fish. I suppose technically that would be a pescatarian? But how often do you see people refer to themselves as that? Pretty close to never. At least where I live.
Personally, I group all of that shit together. Vegetarians, pescatarians, vegans, fruititarians, etc. IMHO it's all just "picky eaters".
What does a ham sandwich "say" to you? I grew up mainly eating turkey sandwiches, and to me they always said "clean, lean, comfort"
I'm eating a ham one and I'm not sure what the impression it gives me is
i grew up eating your mom's ham sandwich
cold cuts are poison
>>9380128
It says "Pastrami is objectively the best cold cut/deli meat"
There's a wegman's about a half hour from my house where the only stores are shoprite and a walmart. Is it worth going? What should I get? I want to get some novelty goods.
>>9380106
Goat. Meat and veggie prices are pretty standard, everything else is over priced. Good store brand products too
>>9380106
All that parking space and the daft old cunt parks on the pavement.
wegman's is alright. it's basically just a big grocery store.
i only shop there because they carry every flavor of halo top.
