>you find a hair in your meal
What do you do?
Pick it out and drop it on the floor and keep eating.
If I am fine with all the sweat dripping off the cooks faces onto my food I see no reason why a little hair should bother me.

This.
Letting minuscule shit like that ruin your night just isn't worth it. If it happens repeatedly, don't go back to the place.
Then again, if you notice it when the waiter/waitress is right there, there's a chance they'll replace your plate and comp it, if the place is worth a damn; but if not, it's not making a fuss about.
If it's pubic and it belongs to the waitress, I'll keep it in my pubic jar
What's the best chip flavor and why is it salt & vinegar?
Because salt & vinegar is the one kind of chip my dad didn't like when I was growing up, so I could eat them without him snatching them and eating half the bag.

You must go beyond.
You must taste beyond tongue. See beyond eyes. Smell beyond nose.
You must exceed.
>>8817914
Dill pickle is better.
Just tried these. They take a little getting used to but are pretty amazing, no salsa needed. Perfect balance of sweet, hot and salty. Post some of your favorites.

post Lays then man, I don't care.
This stuff here with a bowl of fresh homemade guac, yummy!
Chocolate torte is objectively the best cake ever conceived. Period
That being said, what types of cake do you enjoy /ck/ ?
cheese
carrot
>>8816196
I like red velvet, which is technically chocolate but I like that it's red. I find it visually stimulating.
>>8816196
I'm tired of chocolate in cake.
I go to local bakeries, and 80% of the cakes on display are chocolate cakes (I'm not talking about chocolate sprinkles or decorative pieces on the outside -- that would make it 100%).
I'm going to eat here soon with my parents as they have coupons
What should I get? I've never been there before
>>8812454
Garbage bag of CheddarBay Biscuits. Only thing worth eating there.
>>8812454
just eat the free biscuits they give out.
it's the best thing there.

Has anyone else basically become a vegetarian by accident. I don't have anything against meat, but it's been mostly excluded from my diet because I prefer the greater simplicity and variety offered by vegetables, eggs and cheese. I don't think of myself as a vegetarian, just a vegetable enthusiast. If someone offers me meat, i'll eat it without hesitation.
>>8823338
fuck off PETA, your malnutrition induced brain damage is showing
No, but that happened to me with red meat. I just stopped making it myself or ordering it. Still eat it when offered.
I love fish and chicken though...
>>8823338
Have you also started sucking cock by "accident"?
>buy some different cheeses
>cut this applewood cheese
>it's a pain to cut
>it sticks to the knife
>had to use a separate knife to get it off the knife
why is life so difficult?
>>8823280
Use a cutting wire then, or else shut your mouth and use your knife
>>8823280
There is a reason these things exist.
>>8823333
Motherfucker.
Redpill me on game nitds.
Why choose chicken and turkey to eat commonly instead of, say, peafowl and pheasant? Aren't they all basically the same thing?
And why galliformes specifically? Why not raptors or parrots? What if hawks were chosen to be domesticated and eaten instead of chickens, would chickens be viewed culturally as beautiful and courageous birds, with hawks being viewed as goofy sources of food? Would a KFH menu be good? Would the McHawk be the best fast food sandwich?
>>8823161
Predators don't taste good
>>8823185
Bwars and dogs do. Also, they could've chosen cockatiels or cassowaries if that was the case.
>>8823161
predators don't make sense as a food source since in order for them to grow to maturity you'd need to feed them meat
chickens would never be viewed as majestic beacuse humans have an innate sense of aesthetics. chickens are neither graceful no powerful
Redpill me on mayonnaise.
How is it possible you just pix raw egg with oil, and you get this shit?
Why does it last so long?
How come it doesn't say ''R A W F U C K I N G E G G S'' on the labels?
Why do people buy this shit if it's so easy to make?
How does egg and oil turn into a white paste?
It's called an emulsion, you stupid fuck. Don't they teach chemistry in American schools?
The eggs in commercially prepared mayonnaise are pasteurized. There is a temperature at which you can kill salmonella over an extended period of time without cooking the proteins.
Are you an idiot? Mayonnaise is made from the Mayonnaise plant, it's squeezed out of it and ground into a paste
girlfriend thought I was fuckin weird when she came home to me drunk drinking extra garlic pickle juice from the jar
I lol'd and told her it was her loss
am I alone /ck/?
>>8822965
Sometimes I pour a bit into tuna salad but never drank it straight.
>>8822965
I few women i know drink pickle juice
and make pickle juice popsicles or ice cubes
I don't know if it's just a local thing or not
Pic related. Is freezing drinks in a freezer actually a thing or is it for something else and if so what?

>>8822694
I sure love bending down every time I want something from the fridge.
Why would anyone want the freezer on top?
>>8822702
In the uk we're used to small under counter fridges with a tiny freezer at the top. This is like an upgrade that doesn't affect our muscle memory.
Yo /ck/, I love me some hot food but I've never actually tried ghost peppers. I'm usually around habanero level of spiciness but I want to try some more. Anyone having experience with those? Should I buy dried pots or get some hot sauce instead?
Are these getting memed up on reddit lately or what? Seems like there are at least two ghost pepper threads a day now, used to be maybe once a week at most
>>8822679
Sorry it's my first time on /ck/, I usually frequent other boards. I just ran out of my go to hotsauce and last time I ordered some it took them well over a month to deliver them from NA to europe so I'm exploring stuff that I can buy locally.
>>8822686
I've been reading up on it for a bit, I'm growing my own peppers for the first time, and my friend asked me to grow some 'hot ones' for him, so I ordered the caramel bhut jolokia variety, because supposedly these have the best taste while still having quite a kick:

What was dinner in your home like growing up? Was it a family affair? Were your parents good cooks? Did they teach you anything?
>>8822245
On weekdays my mom would microwave a large mac and cheese and put out some ham slices if she wasn't too drunk. Otherwise we made PBJs for ourselves. Usually watched wrastlin or ate in the yard if nothing was on.
On the weekends my dad would order a pizza and we all sat in front of the tv and watched reruns of flipper.
My mom was a great cook and we ate family dinners regularly until my two older sisters left home. Then she bought a George Forman grill and I had to cook for myself.
It's not until I just typed that story out that I noticed it might be sad.
>>8822245
>mom was good cook
>she could cater to my family's needs
>family was pretty fat(overweight growing up)
>mom would cook healthy meals to cater as such
>always food and dinner every night
>always multiple entrees
>always healthy
>sometimes would complain about how boring our food was
>mom said something to me that stuck to me now I am older
>"One day you'll miss my food"
>am obese and eating junk food like crazy
>look unhealthy
>miss moms food...
>miss the greens
Rate my lunch.

OLIVE OIL

>>8821951
Great cheese, nice bread, beautiful parsnip, tasty beer
10/10
>bread
>butter
>cheese wedge
>plain raw root vegetable
I've definitely gotten drunk and composed similar plates of food for myself.
Why did the gimmick food phenom not last? Imagine the things we could have had
* KFC Double down
* Grilled cheese burger
* Pizza hut cheeseburger crust
At the time it felt we were approaching a golden age.
Logistics vs value
>>8821872
Because eating a bacon sandwich where the bread is also chicken is slightly more depressing than eating chicken from a bucket.
>the gold rush sandwich is still not nationally available.
