THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN
>>8873594
Damn, $5 of chicken down the drain
What other food plants can I grow relatively easily in my windowsill? Ideally sans dirt
Those onion shits always grow hollow unless you stick 'em in dirt
sweet potato greens
im currently growing 16 piri piri chilis plants in northern sweden, they give plenty chilis every year. pretty sweet. Using only 2 windowsill, 4 pots.
Non-American here.
What's Royal Crown Cola like? Does it taste any different from Coca Cola? Please give me more information on how it tastes and what makes it different from Pepsi or Coca-Cola.
>>8873474
Tastes moldy.
>>8873474
Thicker feeling, more caramel flavors, like Coke with pepsi sweetness but without the shitty pepsi flavor.

Should I import some?
How thinly should I slice apples if I want to dehydrate them? Pic related it's the apples. Also I took the skin off was that a good idea
Is that little baby paring knife the tool you used to cut them?
Do you not own a proper Chef Knife?
Are you sure those are apples? They look like potato.
Dehydrated potato doesn't taste very good. Better to fry. Do you own a deep fryer?
>>8873452
getting them even thinner will cut back a lot on your dehydration time. This will do, but I personally make'm about half as thin, with a REALLY sharp, and longer chef's knife.
>>8873468
I don't have a deep fryer because I'm too poor, I peeled the apples. I used a paring knife because it's apples. It is not potatoes because it is apples.
stop adding this shit to your food.
no seriously, you don't need it. don't add extra on your french fries, don't add it in the water when you're making rice or pasta etc etc etc.
stop using salt, period. I challenge anyone on /ck/ to tell me one dish that would be ruined without adding salt.
You need salt to live faggot.
>>8873436
The amount of salt you need to live is extremely low in comparison to what we consume. Like, a few hundred milligrams a day is probably still too much.
Salt is also like sugar in the way you've probably fucked your sensitivity to it by consuming it in massive amounts every day. Stop using so much and your taste will adjust to where you don't need so much.
>>8873456
Why when I can just eat what feels right?
Besides, I wouldn't crave what isnt good for me.
What is the best cooking oil in terms of health, price, and tastelessness? I realized vegetable oil is actually just a euphemism for soybean oil so I'm looking for an alternative.
>>8873323
rapeseed (canola)
Canola - highest percentage of unsatuarated fats compared to satrated fats, good gigh smoke point.
Olive oil -less but still good ratio of unsat/sat fats.contains good antioxidants, destinctive flavour
Sunflower oil, also very high % of unsat fats, very suble non detctable flavour. Can have a smoke point as low as 180c.(bad)

Guiz im drink
>used to like radishes with salt when I was a kid
>fast forward to this week
>visiting my parents
>mom has extra radishes, offers me some
>fuck yeah I haven't had radishes in years, nostalgia.jpg
>she sends a bag of them home with me
>eat one
>realise I don't like radishes anymore
>they don't taste any different than they used to either, just that my tastes have changed and they don't do anything for me now
>not sure what to do with the rest of this bag of radishes
Post foods you used to like but don't anymore. I am curious to hear your stories.
>>8872852
Mushrooms.
Used to eat the ever loving fuck out of them as a kid.
>Be me
>Visit Virgin islands
>Order a plate of food with mushrooms and shrimp in it
>food poisoning
I know that the shrimp is what made me sick but my brain will not stop blaming the mushrooms. They also taste like bleach to me now so...
bologna

Same shit happened to me, but with French Onion Soup.
Couldn't even smelled onions being cooked without gagging for 5 years. Over it now
Is there anything more overhyped, overpriced, overrated than churrasco?
It's literally just plain meat over a fire.
Well the meat in your picture is clearly seasoned but ignoring that.
When has meat on a fire ever been bad? Have we come full circle where nu-male just don't even like things like meat and whisky anymore?
>>8872675
It's good but it's nothing special and the circlejerk around it having to do with manliness and purity of ingredients (muh salt and pepper only), is cringey. Being pretentious over a steak also seems counter-intuitive.
>>8872721
Now me, personally, in my experience. The life I have lived and the things I have seen, heard, or read. Just me, not anyone else. I have never heard of that kind of behavior.
But, again just my opinion, over seasoning food is fine and exploring different regional flavors is fun. But eventually, you'll wanna taste the meat.
Especially if it's a nice ribeye, or just a good looking chicken breast. Sometimes, the best seasoning is none at all.
is it because ththe only people who drink it are beer noobs,
and since they aren't used to paying more than $0.30 a can for beer in 30 packs, they have to justify the higher price?
Also IPA's are super overrated.
Belgium-style ale is far superior.
>>8871807
i'm actually pouring some stone at a festival today, but it'll be a porter and a hoppy pilsner. stone in general is overrated.
IPAs can be very good, southbound makes an amazing IPA that drinks like a session, but fucks you up like a DIPA.
belgians are typically great, but tripels kind of push it for me. there's definitely a sort of diminishing return when it comes to overloading your beer with flowers and booze.
in short, beer is good, but not all beer, and you're a fag.
>>8871810
im only a fag because i had to look up DIPA.
Its double- IPA right?
But my opinion is completely hedrosexual
>>8871807
>belgium-style
How do i make this shit taste better without adding too many calories?
pasta sauce?
>>8871767
>pasta sauce
i said without adding too many calories.
Pesto
Would you switch to lab grown meat if it had the same taste and texture as normal meat and was cheaper?
Or would you still be turned off by the fact that it's artificial?
Depends if it would fuck over my body in short/long term.
>>8871396
If it's identical down to an atomic level, who cares?
>>8871396
>if it had the same taste and texture as normal meat
>and was cheaper
Wew.
Are hot dogs really as healthy as people say? Or are they just O.K. for you?
>Hotdogs
>Healthy
They're ok, but it really depends on what you get and who makes them.
>>8871260
FDA shill pushing bunk nutritional science to get people to buy and eat the poisonous b vitamins made in the lab they own.
Post discarded. "Healthy" is a meme.
>ywn look this cool while cooking
