Keeping personal/identifiable stuff away from the anonymous ppl of the internet. Like I'd like to show stuff to an online cgl comm or friend I made in a WoW guild, but it might end up scary as these places attract creepy people who'd be ready to call me and insult me during my grandma funeral.

The only social media i actively used I now am permabanned from for shit posting.

I just have everything connected to my Facebook. I befriend people from 4chan using things like emails, line app, or discord where I don't have it connected to my fb. But if I get close to someone, I'm not afraid to add them on fb, ig, etc. Now I have a pretty good group of online friends, tho I wish I could encounter gulls that live closer to me. I might make a second fb tho when I start my career, but since I'm still in college, it doesn't matter much right now.

Can we just make this a general tumblr/insta/other self post thread since the instagram thread autosaged and there's not much point in making an entire new one?

Hopefully not OT, but I'm having to re-start using social media from scratch due to a bad break-up, and I'm so lost. I can't believe all the apps and platforms there are now.
I'm thinking of starting with Facebook and maybe tumblr, but what does everyone else use? What's the best way to meet other lolitas? Where did everyone start after LJ died?

I don't want to explain alternative fashion, "not that type of lolita", or cosplay to all and sundry that I meet in a professional capacity, but everyone these days maintains networks with facebook. I don't want people to google my name and have photos of my outfits come up. Also, avoiding judgemental family members. I just use tumblr and ig for lolita stuff and fb for more personal stuff.
