I didn't know AtPie sells Violent Fane until now, are any other Western lolita brands sold in Japan?
>>9550554
Don't most shops not allow you to take photos inside?
>>9550561
Yes, but some shops post pictures on their twitter

Some more Atelier Pierrot. Their shop looks pretty bad in pictures but I love their coords. Have any of you been there recently?

Looks like Baby.
Massive MAM shop image dump incoming.
Sorry, doing this from mobile so it's taking awhile.
>>9550599
Does Sheglit have a physical shop?
End of dump.
Inside of the sweet/classic lolita floor Closet Child, don't know which one.

Baby
>>9550911
Sadly no, they're sold through their web shop, KERA Shop, and Atelier Pierrot, and maybe a couple of other select shops.
>>9550966
Queen?
>>9550560
Cloudberry Lady also was sold on Atelier Pierrot
>>9550560
Atelier Pierrot has quite a few other brands as well, also from the west, but I have forgotten the name. It's nice to see more Western and Asian brands coming to Japan.
>>9550968
That's not a Baby store, that's Maison de Julietta.

I love this
Few questions- Is it weird to take pics in brand shops? I'll be in Japan in October and I'll probably be taking pics of everything fashion related that I can, so I'd like to know.
Also, are girls working in brand stores provided with an allowance to buy clothes to wear when working? Or do they recieve a discount etc.?
My friend worked in a high end clothing store and she recieved pretty major discounts as she was required to wear the clothes to work, so I'm just curious if it works the same in Brand stores.

It's forbidden to take pictures in quite some brand stores. (Same goes for their overseas stores. ) So I would always ask first if there is no sign, you probably won't be the first one. (Be aware that they might not like it, thinking you are a tourist and such. Personally I woukd onky ask it, if I bought something as well.)
I believe they get a little discount, but it probably depends on the brand. They aren't all the same.

Thanks for the advice, I don't want to be rude! I might take a shot of the window display from outside then so I don't impose. I'd love to just have a running photo thing of my trip on my insta etc.
And that's interesting. Just considering how expensive brand can get I wondered what sort of help they'd provide for girls who may not have a wardrobe already working there.
>>9551629
I think if they can tell you are a lolita you can ask them politely, and maybe they will even take a picture of your coord or of something you are trying on. As you can see in this thread, some shops post customer snaps on twitter.
>>9551640
I just came back from my first trip to Japan; they're REALLY firm about not taking photos. So... do it on the sly if you can, lol. Definitely don't ask because then they'll be watching.

Photos are strictly prohibited in most brand shops and used stores like CC, and they'll get pretty angry if they catch you
When brands post help wanted ads, usually one of the requirements is "must like X brand". There's a selection of items that can be borrowed by shop staff, but they also buy their own clothes. The discount isn't much

Ohh. Thank you! Cats and books go so well together.
Noticed that Akira/David is now part of the Oomiya AP staff. I wonder how AP will feel knowing that he's been in a AV?
>>9552637
Link to AV?
>>9550960
This is Yokohama
>>9552637
He works for AP now?
>>9552637
Akira/David?
>who is this person
Why is it forbidden to take photos inside? I get it would be unpleasant for the sale assistants but what if the person would take photos of the interior only? Is it because of tourists?
>>9557124
It's more about preventing bootlegging/counterfeiting of specific products, and making it more difficult for people who manufacture inauthentic merchandise from setting up confusingly-similar shop space. You see the same policy in Western luxury brand shops too.
>>9557124
It provides some protection for the brand against replicas, but I imagine obnoxious normie tourists are also another factor.
>>9557126
Also, adding to this: if the store is not in pristine condition that can also look bad on the shop if photos go around. Life happens sometimes and that's not kawaii.
>>9557124
Yeah, I'd figure that when you're not allowed to take photos inside it would be much less attractive for tourists with no interest in the fashion or buying anything to go in anyway because "japan is so crazy gotta take a picture of this wacky fashion".
>>9552637
The caption on Oomiya AP's Instagram says it's a customer snap. Akira's Japanese isn't even close to good enough to work at AP lol.
