Best part of a con are friends and spending time together. Lolita events/panels/shopping are good too but secondary. Room parties are a blast 80% of the time. AA is always great, I love seeing the variety of artists.

There was a vendor selling model sets this year at Anime Midwest. Got a nice Liger Zero to replace the one I trashed as a kid because I played with it too much.

It's pretty rare to come across but if you keep an eye out, you can sometimes find them in booths that sell other model kits, especially older ones.
