What is this weird fear of Ubers? Are you not from a big city?

Look, Uber is super safe, espcially in Los Angeles. These drivers are doing for a living, and uber has a VERY strict rating system. All these people want to do is get you from point A to point B with as quickly as they can, with as little issues as possible. There's not guarantee that just because you take a taxi, the driver is not an ax murder. Even more so, because Taxi's are not blackboxed, Uber's are. I LITERALLY take an Uber every day to work, twice a day, and then a bunch on the weekends to meet up with people/go hang out around LA.

Uber's are just cars. Can you but your luggage into your car? Great. Then you'll be fine. The app even lets you call the driver and you can just straight up ask them, "Yo, I got two big ass suitcases. Can they fit?" Fuck, nicest Uber driver I ever had even helped me lug my ten moving boxes up a stupid muddy hill. I didn't even ask him, he offered.

I hope I helped you not fear the Uber. If it wasn't for them, I would be screwed.

Maybe 2-3 years ago, you didn't need to wait 2 hours in line for any panel or event, and they certainly didn't use those waiting pens outside as much as they do now.

the issues with the expansion is the permits, coding, EPA requirements, some hotel back lash, and the cost of construction increasing since the initially proposed cost. its going to be another 10-30 years before its actually done. the funny part theirs always talks about SDCC moving but SDCC always reviews, and they see that they always sell out in a instant so they know they're set.
