Post pics of lolita weddings, engagement shoots, dresses that look bridal, whatever. Just wedding lolita.

Gyaru(?) wedding stuff okay as well gulls
Time to redo my wedding
Does anyone else feel that with the recent OTT trends and coords none of the lolita wedding dresses feel as special or OTT?
I'm currently looking for that perfect wedding dress and none of them really seem that interesting, especially compared to the kinds of dresses and coords I could wear to an OTT meet...
Even veils are not a special thing anymore.

Japanese seem to be stuck on the 80s when it comes to wedding dresses. So ugly.
>>9530874
totally. OP here and I couldn't even find a good dump for the start of the thread.
It's hard to decide what's bridal and what's just OTT without color.
Even this feels like an OTT tea party or con coord...

And yes, it is a lolita wedding essentials brand.
>>9530905
But because of the OTT classic trend, it all looks like that instead of wedding outfits.

Any suggestions on making a coord more bridal rather than the standard OTT "imma princess" coord? Or to make it even more OTT?

A heavy usage of satin, I guess?

>More OTT
Replace the petticoat with a blimp?

those shoes are the worst.

I think the key is paying expert attention to fabric quality, detail, and the size and shape of your silho. OTT is all about layers and accessories, but it's still something you can kind of move around in. A wedding coord is heavy, large, slows you down so time appears to stop as people watch you walking. A bridal coord is imo successful when it makes the bride stand out in every imaginable setting/context (i.e. overdressed for high-tea, meeting royalty, etc.). Every last detail should be fully realized and executed.
It should be ott /ascended/, the coord of all coords in your lolita life. steel hoop skirt necessary.
it is possible to make a light and sweet wedding coord as well. there's just gotta be magic to it and an element of ooak.
in my mind the length is also a big factor. ott lolita is standard lolita length, above ankle and below knee. Wedding lolita always hits the floor, whether in a high-low/irregular hem sense, a large train/veil, or just all around sweeping the floor.

That's rare actually.

nayrt, but maybe she means wedding dresses and not wedding lolita?
It's actually been the one thing about lolita that bothers me, I know there's short wedding dresses, but something about the regular knee-length lolita silhoutte always looked more lolita than wedding to me, even before OTT.
'course, with a floor length gown I think you might lose the lolita-ness of it. I'm not sure if it's worthwhile doing it with underskirts? idk.

>ott classic
I remember when "ott classic" was literally a joke. Sigh
>>9530931
my only suggestion is the addition of a bride or groom

Honestly? As long as you like what you're wearing when you get married, it doesn't really matter.
All those photos of white dresses with white veils, while back in the days this used to be Gothic&Lolita Wedding style.

A little while ago a worker of baby got married in a baby dress. I have to look if I can find the photo. You see that a lot of people tend to wear underskirts under their Lolita wedding dresses to make it longer. I guess that gives a bit of a difference. (Probably because it starts to look more wedding than Lolita.)

This is her. I am a big fan of her daily style and the photos of her wedding are amazing! You can find more on her instagram. (The wedding ones are more on the end.)

While this is beautiful, in some cultures wearing black at a wedding is a super no no

Same goes for white
>>9530894
is this for a pretend wedding?
>>9534700
No, it has been really popular for weddings ever since To Alice released it.
>>9532858
clearly they are not part of that culture so who cares?
