I had a med issue where I couldn't lose weight and just kept gaining. No doctors would listen so as a young adult, I took matters into my own hands.

I asked my Muslim friend (who sadly does not wear lolita but her family is very very westernized, she and her mom+sisters don't wear hijabs) about tall boots with some thick tights instead and she said that that would be acceptable, even for traditional Muslims.
