Working on a cosplay for Futaba.
Heres the first finished boot that Ive made.
Thoughts? The base boot had twice as many holes as hers does, so I blacked out every other one to see if it will blend in photographs.

Yes, all the characters are drawn as beanpoles. Which is why a beanpole looks more accurate than a "thicc" girl in the same level of cosplay.

I'm just not used to persona being FOTM in this state since the last couple of meetups were a blast and you could tell the other cosplayers enjoyed persona/SMT as a series. This time I even got asked (when trying to discuss a joke about the game) if I've actually played it and that just made me do a double take.

I like the A the most, its less basic bitch and I like the shoulder details.
For the top you could go for the cowl depending on how confident you are, but if you cant pull it off opt for the beanie as its got more coverage which the ears alone wont give you and as a result will always look as though something is missing - make sure you dont forget the inner white bits of his ears though for the beanie.

Unfortunately I hadn't finished the game at that point and I wanted to wait until I finished it before settling on a character - and I'm glad I did wait!

Her character did a pretty good job of it explaining my deal to my boyfriend. He knows what I do and my struggles with interacting with people and going places alone, but he had trouble understanding why. In fact he was the one who commented that her behavior is very similar to mine (I didn't want to mention the recognition of her situation, because actually I'm pretty embarrassed of the fact I'm unable to go to the corner shop alone) but they did a pretty good job of addressing that problem.
I don't share her body type however, and as much as I genuinely like her I won't do it until I've lost a bit more weight. Until then I'll stick with Haru and Makoto.

Some of her skills were the best though. I really like this about P5, the relationship links translate into really good battle upgrades and skills. In P3 and P4 some characters felt unnecessary and you did it just to max the link. The side stories are a lot more engaging, and it links to the main story so well as well.

Posted this in the wig thread as well, but you guys may also have better opinions regarding accuracy-
I'm torn on the wig color for Futaba.
I'm getting a base wig from Arda (Eowyn) and styling it.
But I'm not sure if I should get Fire Red or Pumpkin.
Fire Red seems like it'd be more accurate but is a little eye bleed-y when it's photographed.
Pumpkin is slightly darker but seems to photograph better.

I got epic a few years back for another cosplay. As I was styling it, the ponytail holder came unraveled and the wig was unuable.

I want to cosplay Oracle Futaba since so many people are doing her basic outfit. I already have a general idea of how I'm going to make the goggles, but I want to implement an Arduino controlled lighting effect on her top since it *does* glow in game. It's kinda subtle though.

I know that I'd hide the circuitry in her stupid cargo pants, but that's all I know. Anyhow, I'm pretty confused about which material to use for the top since Futaba mentions that it's skin tight and it's clearly matte. So I'm trying to find a matte skin tight material that won't shrink after I sew my RGB strips in. Thanks guys! I'll probably post this in the help thread too, but I figured that I'd have a better chance at finding some other Oracle cosplayers here.

Style your wig a bit more, Akechi has these slightly curled elegant wavy tips. You look more like Yagami Light right now. The wig is so flat on the top and back, it looks like you took it right out of the bag. Pinch the strands, get a curling iron, watch some youtube tutorials, use a razor and some gel. Also learn2makeup, get some MATCHING color BB cream and concealer, cover those dark circles, and try a little contouring and natural colors around your eyes. Downplay your nose because it's quite big, don't go for a big heavy nose contour. Also Akechi has light eyebrows. Get some gold/blonde colored brow gel and tint yours, remember to brush both ways to coat the brows. Your color is quite dark so you're gonna wanna get a lighter color and go for a few coats. When in doubt, youtube videos are your friend.

This is the part that trips me up about all this. I know Mari, not well, but I feel like I have a handle on her, all of this shit that went down just seems so out of character for her. I feel bad honestly, it seems like she had some sort of very misinformed righteous indignation, she started shit, doubled down, and then it all spun completely out of control.

Her Futaba isn't great, but her other costumes are pretty alright, I wonder if she just wanted some recognition, had it within her grasp, and reacted poorly when Nyanners started catching up.

I guess I'm just not a good cosplayer, I just want to dress stupid and have fun, I don't get the need for kudos beyond "Hey, you look great!" in convention hallways.
