It would've looked a million times better if this girl knew how to put on a kimono and obi properly. The kimono needs to be secured higher and tighter around her, and the obi needs to be tied properly so that it's not falling apart. It could use some embellishment (like an obijime or a brooch) too.

Might just be my quirky taste but I do like the colours together, the greyish dark teal compliments the mustard yellow of the kimono and the tabi are pulling some colour in from the print too; in that regard I think there's a good balance between what works in lolita and what works in kimono. It just needs to be worn properly with the polish that's required.

The print on the skirt is a demon parade; the horns do match the theme. Or, they would if you could actually see the print. The rose crown is what's out of place.

I hate this because I can see where she was trying to go with it too, but the execution is so sloppy it falls totally flat. I'll just write my crit from the top of the outfit going down:

>Ditch the roses, use more generic head accessories (like bows) that fit the colors in the print and accent it with kanzashi and other traditional Japanese hair ornaments.
>Do your fucking eyebrows and eye makeup. Circle lenses look creepy with no makeup around them.
>Ditch the black lipstick. It's not flattering on thin-lipped people because black is slimming.
>Fix the kimono, like the other anons have said. It's not fitted correctly and it looks so sloppy.
>Also seconding the recommendation for obijime and/or a brooch; the area of the obi is too plain. The outfit might also look better with a red obi or a different kimono. The yellows don't match.
>Skirt needs a petticoat.
>Kimono needs to be folded up better, possibly into the waistband of the petticoat she should be wearing.
>Socks and shoes need to go. The colors near her legs make them look sickly and mid-calf socks create an ugly, blocky barrier (similar to the bare obi), even if they are traditionally appropriate.

Every successful wa outfit I've ever seen used typical lolita legwear and shoes. There's no reason to try to go the traditional Japanese route with those; it never fits the aesthetic. I think I read that she made the shoes? That's impressive as far as craftsmanship goes but you can tell they are not authentic geta because those would have the strap between the toes right in the middle so there is no right or left foot. I guess the point I'm trying to make here is, if you insisted on wearing traditional Japanese socks and shoes, why would you not go the whole nine yards and make it as authentic as possible?

What I don't get is that the head and wig seem so OTT, but the coordinate itself is fairly casual. There's hardly any poof, which makes the whole thing absolutely top-heavy and imbalanced. The shoes are so plain.
