I think it's a case by case basis.For some girls there's the one holy grail dress while others may have more of a top 5. Personally, on my wishlist there's one dress I would commit murder for, the rest are either under "want" or "really want".
As for what to do after finding your dream dress... with brands constantly releasing new prints and cuts it's only a matter of time before you find another piece you could call a dream dress.

Personally I wouldn't do that; if she's relisted it a couple of times then she might get fatigued about it, especially since she hasn't (I'm assuming) dropped the price, so it could fall off the market temporarily, allowing anon to save the money and message her about buying it when she's ready. If you were to message her (if you haven't already), then I'd ask for a hold, or at the very least a payment plan so she can get something up front so it's not quite holding with no guarantee the buyer won't back out.

Its a dress from a Taobao seller I have never heard of, but had cute birds on it, I just want to collect all bird dresses. Guess it's not a complete loss.
