Bodies are easier to disguise in idol cosplay so if you nail the face and wig you can be cute too

Pic unrelated but I agree that anyone can look good if they choose the right idol for their face. For example, my friend kept on insisting to be Nico from Love Live which didn't suit her that much but when she switched to Eli everyone started to compliment her including myself.

Any recommendations for someone sub 5' and flat but a mature face? I'm 19 so not really old, but I definitely can't pull off lolis. The closest I can think of is maybe Chihaya? Series doesn't matter too much, all my favorites are impossible for me to pull off.

Are you cosplaying in group or solo? cuz if you're solo you can get away with most inbetween heights idols without anyone thinking about it. DESU I think if a short person did this Chihaya, it would be very easily mistaken for Hestia.
Which idols are your favorite? What's your type?

For flat chest you can always pad, but there are lots of non-busty, non-loli idols for you.
Many of the more traditional japanese idols are more mature looking than cute for example

Anon I'm completely flat and would never do a cleavage window. There's no way I'd be mistaken for even a bad Hestia. My friends are already doing a bunch of different series and just want me to go as any idol. I like bitchy and/or princessy characters that aren't very cold like Nico. Using an example from the same series Hanayo is actually my favorite and Maki is my least favorite. So in reality I'm all over the place.

Would you mind giving me names? I don't know much about idolmaster at all, Chihaya was just a recommendation from my friend.

Character wise you are probably going to like Lori from im@s though she is on the younger side. She's definitely the princess type.

You can always pad some depending on the costume. Don't limit yourself to the DFC girls when bombshell bras exist.

Aquors Cyber sets are halfway released! It's like they're trying to make them ridiculously difficult for cosplayers.

I'm partial to Riko and Mari's for this set because the colours are adorable. Not sure how I feel about the transparent skirts + bloomers combo though.

If you like bitchy princessy girls I also think these characters could suit you.
1. Iori Minase (765 pro) - Little rich bitch girl. My fav 765 pro girl, she's lovely.
2. Sachiko Koshimizu (cinderella girls) - She calls hereself "The cutest idol" and is definitely a little princessy.
3. Rika Jougasaki (cinderella girls) - Younger sister to her famous idol sister Mika. Wants to be just like her sister.
4. Kyoko Igarashi (cinderella girls) - She's a bit different to my other suggestions, because her thing is being NICE, housewife material, but she also is a bit Yandere.

If you want to get into Cinderella Girls there are two animes out, but they only cover the main cast of the anime. I also recommend the game Starlight Stage. While it's only in japanese, it's quite straight forward to play and places like tumblr, reddit and twiter offers tons of help for english speaking players

I tried watching one of the animes but couldn't get into it t.bh. Then I heard a lot of people here saying the games were region locked and untranslated a few years ago so I pretty much gave up. Thanks again for the spoon feeding.
