I know people sometimes hate on her for her fake mannerism, but that doesn't seem to be uncommon with lolita in Japan. In this video you can see Baby's staff acting that way too. I think it's comparable to acting differently when you're wearing a fancy work uniform versus sweatpants, I've heard them mention that in videos about wearing kimono too.

Found it (or something very similar)! I had no idea they made these in teenage sizes, since I've never seen a high school with these for uniform. Comes in a bunch of colours and is cheap as fuck because childrens' clothes are VAT-free in the UK.

I think if it's the pink or purple one you'd get away with it because they're colours only those two expensive prep schools John Lewis is supplying use them. I'm a Britfag who had that sort of uniform in primary and I didn't make the connection to what Misako was wearing until I saw the text of the post, since you never see school uniforms come in pink. I wouldn't touch red, blue, maroon, green or navy, since they're very common for primary schools to use and it'd look ageplay and weird straight away.

(For reference, I have such a hatred of gingham and associate it so strongly with primary uniforms that I won't even wear normie fashion items featuring red/blue gingham, and even I think the pink one's fine if you style it right).

Some super mature pink or white shoe like a block-heeled platform sandal with pompoms, sheer tights, a statement handbag, curled/styled hair, maybe a belt. No pigtails, no plaits, no ankle socks, no backpacks, no mary jane-style shoes (even heels). I'd avoid dark-coloured shoes + light legwear in general with this dress if possible, although you could do black heels + black sheer tights + black belt + black handbag.

Right now I'm trying to decide if it'd be weird to buy the badges for prep schools I never attended just because they look aesthetic. I don't live in London or any of the posh southern counties where they reside so I doubt people would clock it, but I still feel kind of iffy about it, esp. since items like that won't ship abroad and some of the nicest ones are from primary schools:

Early-mid 30s. She always vaguely says that she started modelling "over ten years ago" but she started appearing in the G&LB in 2001, which would make her 32 now even if she was 16 when she started (and she was probably a little older than 16 even then because I remember her saying in an interview that before lolita when she was in her teens she wore "cool fashion", combats and tank tops, which would make her older than that when she started wearing lolita.
