Did get a little sick of it once, tried going to a meet up for the cosplay I was doing (Owari no Seraph) and it turned out to be a massive mistake. In personal experience, there will be a fair amount of folks riding the same bus to the same location so you won't be the only one who stands out.

Depending on the costume it would be better to compose when you have access to all your utilities, isntead of trying to squeeze into it quickly in a shitty bathroom stall too.

If you know anyone staying at the convention you can ask to use their room to change I guess, if not then you're kinda out of luck.

Yes people do. Sometimes it is the usual one off or event long fling.

Orgies are usually organised in advance and you can't just drop in unless you know someone going to the orgy who can vouch for you.

That said if it is the Seagulls attempt at an orgy then you just have to not be fat, look okay or good and not be a creep/ serial killer/ rapist (I will leave the extended list to your imagination).

For odd fetishes (flings, orgy, FWB) I have known of more than a few MCM con goers to be on FetLife.

There is usually a desk somewhere (event map should be useful for this) where you can register (they usually tell you the next steps, etc).

Usual full on contest is that you have to do an act for your character (not sure if you can be a single or have to be a duo) and some other little stages with those stages being judged by a panel.
