Need more details on this. I always though mahou kei was an actual thing, or like a kind of substyle or sister style to fairy kei. It's difficult to search for images of strictly mahou kei coords because i get a lot of other fairy kei and yume kawaii images intermixed. I can see why it's gaining popularity. I see stuff in the little girl's section all the time that looks cute. Cute enough that I'd like to buy it. However, wearing little girl's stuff normally means sky high skirts and tighter clothing so I'm not all for it based on personal preference.

I prefer Japanese takes fairy kei. Moco is a favorite of mine, her coords are always cute. In general I feel like it's not as OTT as when western fans do it. I personally think fairy kei looks cuter when a coord is more simple looking but still thought out well.

Are there any cute, quality, comfy fairy-kei or fairy-keiable shoes? I've always been picky about the quality of shoes in general, and while I've bought through Taobao before one of the things I've always been afraid of purchasing are shoes. I live in the US, and I don't even like the fast fashion shoes you buy in the mall, and anything flat is completely off limits since they hurt my foot so much. I don't even mind plain, as the shoes I usually wear with the fashion are white mary janes.
