"how come wunderwelt hasn't used the pun wunderlust in their ads?"
what's the most ridiculous cgl-related brainfart you've had? share it!
this is not reddit
"why are petticoats called coats if they don't cover anything"
>>9468248
"If you make a Momoko coord, is it considered cosplay?"
"why would anyone ever want to leave lolita?"
I wondered what were Misako/Mana/Maki/Asuka/... doing right now out of nowhere.
"when will the jews ruin lolita"
does misako fart
"Why doesn't literally everyone wear Lolita?"
And then three shampoos later everyone in my life is dressed straight out of Ever After High
>>9468412
It is when you do it in Bodyline.
Do you think the guys who make props for costhots realize they're being played or do they just get off on seeing a hot girl hold their work
>>9468248
what is 'wunderlust' even supposed to mean? Cause that's not even a german word. And I hope you didn't mean Wanderlust.
>>9468248
Because that's not how you spell "Wanderlust" and therefore the pun doesn't work.
>>9468416
because of people like OP for making shit threads
>>9469528
No shit, it's a pun on their name anon. That's why it's spelled wrong.
>>9469536
No, the pun works perfectly, you're just a dense ninny.
>>9468248
"What is a closet child?"
>>9469612
Wanderlust is a legit term in German, but I really don't see how it would work with Wunderwelt. Wunderwelt going abroad? Wunderwelt opening another store somewhere in Europe? It just doesn't really make sense.
>>9469624
Not really. It's about as legit as Kapitänsmützenfabrik. Noone even uses this word, not even in books. It's some of these words that "have no literal translation" like Waldeinsamkeit that 9gag and such like to post, but they are merely a thing of the past if they ever were a thing.
Or would you say "Ich gehe heute meiner Wanderlust nach!" or "Ich habe heute so eine Wanderlust."?
>>9469627
ngl, my friends and i would probably use it semi-ironically because we're huge language nerds but even then we'd probably say fernweh or something
agreed that the pun doesn't make sense though
>>9469627
It's not a word I use normally, but as you said, it's an old term. That does not make it any less real, just unpopular. Kapitänsmützenfabrik or Waldeinsamkeit just benefit from our "stack words together and you get a new word"-system, while Wanderlust actually has an entry in the Duden.
>>9469627
Basic bitches in the US use this word all the time to describe their wanting to ~travel the world~.
>>9469627
I used that word like 20 times in my fucking german finals test today, i guess you use it if you're into literature shortly after 1800
AP = Age Play
>>9469790
Fuck off eichendorff
Who's going to replace Misako,Mana,... when they're retired or ded?
What about Maki and Asuka?
>>9469994
>this image
I don't want to remember anon, please don't. Because of this shit I get war flashbacks whenever I see Milky Planet
>>9468970
Some guys just really like to do stuff for hot girls. It's worth it to them to see hotties hold their stuff and smile at them and tag them in their pics. Then the guys show off to their friends.
Kind of offtopic but I wonder what makes people have shower thoughts in the shower. Is it because we're doing something monotonous and our minds go blank, or what?
Not quite a shower thought but I was legitimately surprised that "pochette" was a thing and not usakumya's surname
>>9472939
I guess not having anything to keep your mind busy? Like, you can't take a book, your phone or even tv with you in the shower, you don't have to concentrate on traffic or some task, so it's one of the few moments when your mind is free to wander. And since it's also quite a comfy place to be, with the warm water and all, we spend enough time in there to get to the weird thoughts.
>a real brandwhore lifestyler would use maxipad headdresses as maxipads
>Is it okay to pee in the shower
>>9475122
No that would fall under most embarrassing behavior
>>9475125
But what if you were so rich you could literally just buy 30 maxipad headdresses a month.
>>9468439
lol
>>9470345
Whats wrong with the image?
>>9475223
How heavy is your flow for you to need 30 pads in one period?
>>9476789
I don't want to get into it too much, but it's from a hentai doujinshi where a lolita gets drugged and raped by a group of old men.
>>9476798
It's not actually heavy but it lasts for like a week, and assumed changing 4 times a day was reasonable even with a light flow because otherwise things get sweaty. I actually barely ever use pads but sadly there are no burando tampon alternatives.
Sometimes I start to daydream about being invisible and sneaking into brand stores at night and similar stuff. Not even especially robbing them (ngl iv do think about it) but just touching stuff and being alone with all dat rori
>>9476981
At one point I was thinking about what superpower I would most like to have and thought I'd love to have teleportation and be able to go to Japan whenever I wanted, but then I started to worry about where I would get the yen without looking suspicious and alerting the authorities that I was a teleporter and getting kidnapped by the military because they wanted to use me for their purposes. I then started thinking about ways to make money from teleportation and I thought that I could teleport to pick up my Taobao shopping service order instead of paying out of the ass for shipping, but then I realised that saving $80 is nothing when I could probably get paid far more than that to teleport stuff around for people.
>I'm a useless cunt in a dead end job wasting money on a childish hobby.
>I'm wasting my time on a wannabe japanese forum when I could be making a difference in the world.
>>9476105
This is adorable, I love her
>>9477237
Who cares about "making a difference in the world"? You live for yourself first of all things. Also maybe you have friends,family,... you can't change the world but you change change their world. And your own world.
You can work your way up from a dead end job, cosplay/lolita might be childish but then what? Society wants us to think that because we are 18+ it's no fun allowed forever and we can only have "adult" fun like drinking and fucking or whatever. If you like what you're doing, if you're happy,... then do it. Do it til you're tired of it. This world lacks genuinely passionate and happy people, we aren't useless just because we don't conform to societal norms and work like the machines they want us to be til death.
We're all wasting our time here but hey, fun things happen. If it's fun, do it.
Sorry for the wall of text but I don't like seeing someone calling themselves names, makes me kinda sad.
>why are lolitas expected to be bitchy but not gyaru
>>9476986
I know right? I was thinking about teleporting as well. I tend to daydream about stuff like that. Back in high school I would daydream about being able to fly, I would open the window and just float away
>>9477455
You've got it backwards. Lolitas are supposed to be lovelies but most are bitchy and petty as hell, gyaru are supposed to be megabitches but most are pretty nice.
Everyday there must be at least a few burando deaths, where a dress is burned in a fire, mangled in a washing machine or just thrown away by accident. I wish I could witness these events to understand and calculate the most perilous situations for burando death potential and save my own clothes from it. I also wonder as lolita clothing ages in general, what is the weakest link in the garment that will lead to it's demise? The elastic giving way? Mold? Non colorsafe fabric? Wire hangers??? Many questions.
>>9468248
>i wonder if my shopping service is judging me for buying all these edgy menhera items
>>9477574
I think it's pretty common knowledge that red dye is the least colorfast dye (a fashion major I work with informed me that it's because the chemical composition is unstable), so I imagine that it's mostly red and pink pieces that get damaged as a result of fabric and prints that aren't colorfast
>>9468970
Hot girls get lots of attention at cons therefore they get more photographs. That gets posted to social media and then people see their work and it might lead to more commissions.
Or they're just thirsty and think if they do something nice for a girl that they might get access to the poon.
Maybe not shower thought but definitely the weirdest thought I've had
>I would love to dress Hozier in mori kei he just fits the aesthetic so well
>>9476806
WELP, thanks, not what I expected lol.
Holy Lantern would make a great maternity dress cause it's got those boob zippers like a maternity bra
>>9477574
Delet this you sick fuck

Your research will save us all one day.
I wish brands had status updates so we could see how well their business is going. I'm always afraid that the overseas stores will close down soon, like it's only a matter of when. Could I check their stock market value?
I just realized how much of a polar opposite this board is, when compared to the most of 4chins. I mean, how did it came to be? Social butterflies (that can afford brand) hanging out on a mountain of antisocial neets. It makes me chuckle.
>sage for off topic
I don't know where else to put this thought down, because I don't want to be flamed by my fb friends.
Isn't the trans-gender movement the absolute opposite of the body-positivity movement??
Assuming
1: you believe it's fine to be gay (I do)
2: you believe it's fine to be a masculine female or a feminine male (I do)
So instead of helping masculine girls or fem guys be comfortable in their own bodies, we're telling them they are justified and correct for wanting to undergo a dramatic surgery to change the way they look to better suit societies standards of what a boy or girl "should" be.
There is such a thing as a tomboy for Christ's sake.
>>9483366
Not oly that but there are fewer trolls just trying to get a rise out of people, and if you say something blatantly politically incorrect, you'll get called out for being a bigot or accused of baiting.
This is by far the softest board on 4chan, and honestly, we're kind of the laughing stock.
>>9484914
>we're kind of the laughing stock.
At least we've got actual girls here. This is by far the highest concentration of estrogen on 4chan and it really shows.
>>9484914
>thinking it's normal to want to be like the rest of 4chan
I may be edgy but I don't want to be associated with those autisic egdelords.
>>9484932
>I'mblying imbligations
That is in no way a good thing.
I'm pretty sure this is why we can't have pt threads anymore
>>9484856
I can get behind the usual binary transition if it seems the person has legit dysphoria and needs it to be happy, but there way too many assigned female at birth "non-binary" people that seem to be conflating typical insecurities with gender dysphoria. What happened to just being les/bi? Like you said, what happened to simply experimenting with norms through fashion and not branding ourselves with it? Suddenly a third of the "queer" people I know are some noncommittal shade of trans. Whatever.
Anyway, what made Mana decide to go on his silent streak? Will we ever learn his true age and name?
>>9484948
Except you could say that people with anorexia also have a form of dysphoria (always seeing themselves as fat, even when they weigh 75lbs) and that they believe they need to change to be happy.
Honestly, why is this any different?
>>9484856
I see you've finally hit peak trans and realized the movement is regressive and built off of 1950s stereotypes, pseudo science, and homophobia. Google "gender critical", you'll find plenty of others like you
>>9485106
T R I G G E R E D
>>9477330
Not same anon, but feel similar and get down a lot about similar situations- so thank you for this anon it made me look at things a bit differently at least for now.
>>9485094
Surgery won't hurt you if done correctly. Even then, you don't necessarily need more than hormones to transition happily and that's also unlikely to hurt you. You can alter your body in certain ways and still live normally. You do, however, need food to function properly. Starving yourself will eventually kill you.
We should get back on topic.
>>9485184
But why are we supporting the idea that you need to change in order to be happy?
It goes back to my original point, that this movement is the opposite of what the body positive movement is all about.
I feel like you really should be happy with who you are instead of the "I need to change myself to be happy" mindset.
But you're right, I've derailed this thread too much, let's get back on topic
>>9468439
I was thinking this about kpop. About cgl: I see j elitism seeping in. Plus the threats to sue.
>>9483334
They're not floated on the stock market because they're small businesses, not limited companies.
>>9485206
I'm with you on there being a lot of transtrenders and teens conflating being unhappy to be a girl with really being a boy (I am sometimes quite shocked by how much wholesale acceptance of old-fashioned gender roles some "progressive" young people have these days), but body dysphoria is a legit thing and people have spent years unsuccessfully trying to ignore it or come to terms with it. For the people that it affects it's really upsetting, and since there's no known cure, if a surgical or hormonal medical intervention makes those people feel better and less likely to kill themselves (which counselling is not effective at doing), it's worth it even if it's not something normal people can understand. Real trans people are not trans because they like wearing clothes of the opposite gender or have gender non-conforming hobbies, it's because their mind is telling them they should have different genitals to the ones they do and it causes them a lot of mental distress.
Of course, there are people on tumblr who will call you truscum for saying that you need to have some form of dysphoria to be trans and can't just decide to be trans on a whim, but it's pretty easy to ignore them. The biggest issue is that you can't tell who's really trans without being a mind-reader, so you have to respect everyone's identity if you want to avoid hurting real MtFs by accusing them of being transtrenders.
>>9477330
Uh
First exposure to "drinking and sex and drugs" was from cosplayers and Lolitas (well eating disorders and cyber bullying). I mean, I love my geeky hobbies but it can get ridiculous. Non of my "normie" friends get hyped to go to hotel parties with possible underage girls dressed like Dragon Maid or worry about posting the correct coord for likes. Not saying every person into cosplay/lolita is like that but I'm not going to sit here and pretend like these hobbies aren't like the outside societal world.
My friends cosplay sexy characters at cons but then make fun of women who dress sexy on Halloween.
