In 2017? Nothing. I prefer himekaji/sweet gyaru in the spring and summer and everything is going down the larme tubes. ever? ank rouge's la vie en rose skirt. super cute, great quality and it works for both the office and casual wear.

Various secondhand ETC and Milk - a couple skirts and tops, some cardigans, a couple dresses and a jacket. My favorite thing is a gingham Milk suit, I guess I really like that cute office lady look. I put some of my purchases in the mail thread.

Some Axes Femme and Katie tops, an ETC JSK and necklace and a MILK skirt. I want to get MILK's Lemon Lime JSK in blue and some thin turtlenecks before summer's out. Eyeing up a couple of polka dot cardigans because they're super cheap and I feel like too many of my cardigans are plain but I don't really like polka dots that much so I'm hesitant.

Of the stuff I own it's probably MILK, but MILK's releases are really varied and I don't actually like most of what they put out. For overall aesthetic probably Jane Marple or slightly older Emily Temple Cute.

I really need shoes too, I found some nice ones in a physical store near me but they're $70 so I keep prevaricating. I'm still searching for a nice pair of summery white shoes that aren't sandals or too high a heel, and I also need to get a couple of my existing pairs of shoes re-soled.

I like the fit of the cream one. I find that kind of neckline to be super flattering.

I would pass on the other two but that's just me, unless you really need cardigans in those colors to complete coordinates.

I'm leaning towards that too since I really love the texture (I don't really like necklines that low though since I usually wear cardigans over blouses), but since it's twice as much as the others combined I feel like I'm getting a bum deal.

I'm really tempted to just buy the cheap ones for the sake of it and see how they are IRL, since I'm not losing much, but I've already bought a lot lately so it feels too much like I'm just buying stuff for the sake of it.

Not sure in which thread to put this, is this one of the Chanel dresses from a few years back? They were kind of nanchatte lolita in style, not too over the top, and looked great on the runway. But when you put them on someone like this, money to burn but no sense of style, it looks like shit. Her badly dyed hair, that bag, her make up, that stupid flower, ugh.

I wish more people were into this sort of thing in my area. It's pretty trashy and ghetto here unfortunately. I've always admired girly fashion since I was little.

I realize I "can" wear this stuff but like I said, it's not for me. I have a soft spot for all things cute, pretty, and girly, but I guess you could say I'm the look don't touch type. Not to mention I see this and other similar types of fashion as if they were art, and wearing them myself seems like it would be insulting to that art form. You could say it's like how your average theater patron might love the art but knows they have no place on the stage.

I think swapping out those shoes was a good idea. They're a bit too chunky for the look you were going for. You have such long, lean legs, so stuff with a more narrow heel would look amazing on you, I think. Oxfords with a short, frilly sock would be cute, too.

I disagree with >>9478024, a himekaji style dress like that is designed to go with heels, particularly chunky ones. Brogues would look off with it, and I would only opt for them if I was just going for some errands and needed comfy shoes. I think that pair is fine! But if you feel like it's off balance, look into platform Mary Janes or sandals that a would fit with the summer you feel of the dress betters. Also gold accessories and some hair styling (curled or braided loosely) would really make it pop :)
