Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but it seems related since it's about wigs
So my Mother is being treat for breast cancer and has already had cemo two times now she is going to lose her hair which i know will be upsetting to her since she has always had long hair and short only acouple of times, i want to get her at least some really good natural wigs so she can at least feel beautiful and confedence in herself
Normal wigs are going to irritate the shit out of her scalp, you're best looking at specialised ones for cancer patients.

Yeah. Ask the hospital about it, they should be able to refer you to a place with the right kind of wigs and might also be able to tell you about foundations and organisations that can help you with the cost and what not
Also, from what I know, bald wigs tend to run smaller than the wigs we cosplayers use because they don't need to accommodate balled up hair underneath. A friend of mine got a few for free and she struggled to fit them on her head over her hair.
I don't know where you're based, but over here in Europe a lot of oncology departments have a list of hairdressers who can supply wigs and hairpieces. (Some hospitals even have hairdressers who supply basics like headwraps and the like in house, as a little shop.)
The insides for "real" wigs are not much different from cosplay wigs, though it does require some getting used to on naked skin, it can be quite uncomfortable.
Synthetic is a little cheaper, and human hair is more expensive but looks the most realistic, but non-cosplay wigs can look really natural as well, especially in the right colour blends.
Another issue that's often forgotten is eyebrows. There are, in fact, fake eyebrows that can be glued on, as that if of course also affected by chemo.
I wish you and your mum the best of luck, anon.

Hey, I'm a post-cancer patient.
You should check because many insurance agencies will cover the cost of wigs or at least partially.
Natural hair wigs are really expensive. I made a huge order from Cyperous wigs and insurance paid 80% of it. I didn't find them particularly uncomfortable.
