Text for the video;
>"Cosplay" is a fancy dress art form from Japan where devotees "play" anime or comic book characters. The gender roles are rarely as unconventional as the costumes. Here, Chinese "cosplayers" Baozi and Hana, who attended Singapore's Anime Festival Asia, talk why they like to challenge the superhero stereotype with androgynous and female characters.
Crossplay has been around forever. This reporter is shit.

Exactly. Also I don't like the shoe-horned buzzwords.
Femboy characters crossplayed by women? Unheard of!

>buzzwords
yeah, blame the rise of social media for that. all in the name for click bait.
I saw some article on facebook about how this african american cosplayer was "brave" and "breaking the boundaries" of cosplay. yes. just because she was black. the cosplays were good but most of it if i remember correctly were just closet cosplay stuff.

Cosplay was originally from the US, we even coined the term.

The term cosplay was coined by a Japanese man after seeing western costumers.
What is it with the sudden influx of shills lately? We never had this on cgl.
>"cosplayers"
Really? quotation marks? cosplay is a fairly common word. I don't even understand the story, its just saying "not many men cosplay as feminine character". Yea, not many men cosplay in general.
Also
>talk why they like to challenge the superhero stereotype
Superhero? Its anime, not comic books. Who wrote this, a 70 year old man?
