I want to cosplay more often with a corset but it seems only super heroes need the corset curves.

Is Ciri from The Witcher
Does anyone know if there's any way of getting lasting effects from wearing a corset? Obviously your body isn't going to stay as cinched without the corset on, but if you wear it for several hours a day for a few months, is it possible to actually have it leave you with a bit of definition while you aren't wearing it? I just want to be able to have more of an hourglass figure for cosplay that shows midriff

Yes, this is called waist training. It takes in incredibly long time and a lot of money invested into the corsets. You would be looking at wearing your corsets for at least 8 hours a day, though a lot of waist trainers do more like 12-16.
This is also very dangerous if you do it wrong. Do a lot of research before you start. Lucy's Corsetry has a great intro article on waist training: https://lucycorsetry.com/2014/05/30/how-to-waist-train-comparing-corset-training-methods/

You can't do it independently of diet and exercise, but yes it can help. You can't just use a shitty latex waist trainer thing either - you need a corset that's more curvy than your body
