So are there any cosplay patreons that aren't just sexy pictures and bts videos? I started pledging to one that does tutorials/raffles off small props from their etsy every month and I figure there's gotta be others who do more than the usual showing their tits for $$ thing but am not sure how to go about finding them.
Anything /cgl/ related welcome, if there are actually more than just cosplay patreons!
Cowbutt Crunchies recently set up a Patreon where all the money from subscriptions will be going to cat rescue charities. It's great to see this kind of stuff happening- the two of them have always been such positive influences in the community, and their work is constantly getting better. I wish more people took this approach to Patreon.

This really warmed my cold shriveled heart when I saw it and I wish I had the money to donate, especially since you get tutorials out of it.
>>9423086
There's other patreons out there that aren't t&a or free selfies but they're far and few between.
NoTalentCosplay gives fitness plans to subscribers (sold out atm).
I know she isn't popular around here but Mangosirene's rewards are mostly for her cosplay101 content.
Yeah but no one pays those people lol
>>9423319
that's the point though, i want to? i have no use for people's shitty boudoir shots but I'd be happy to find some worthwhile content to throw some money at
I like Punished Props's patreon for behind the scenes prop making things. All of their stuff is free on their YT channel but I figured I've learned so much from their videos that I'd send a buck every month to continue supporting their work on there.
I see a lot of patreons that give out tutorials in addition to just free prints or selfies, but I can't vouch for the quality of any of them. It seems like a common reward.
>>9423336
I guess, but you can find most of this stuff for free already.
>>9423336
Donate yourself, stop giving money to people to donate to causes. You do realize they're getting a tax write off because of you. Better you donate to the cause and get the tax write off yourself.
>>9426415
How is this related to patreon?
>>9423152
I definitely recommend No Talent Cosplay for anyone hoping to get in shape for a con. I've been suscribed for two months and her fitness plans and guides are amazing and super easy to follow.
>>9423147
Why not do a tits and ass patreon if its for charity?
TnA = more money = more money for good causes
>>9426841
>implying she has tits and ass even worth showing off
probably calls herself cowbutt for a reason
>>9426841
Some people actually have dignity.
>>9426705
How so? The hook of patreon is that you get rewards in exchange for money. In that one it just looks like the signup fee is going to charity instead, so it's not like you're donating and getting nothing out of it. You still get the reward even if the cosplayer doesn't get the money.
>>9423152
I subbed to mango sirene for a little while. She has good content but it's too basic unless you're just starting out in cosplay.
>>9426896
is your dignity worth more than a cat's life?
>>9426841
I know you're probably trolling but CBC's appeal has always been their tutorials and overall quality. It wouldn't make sense for their rewards to be TnA.
>>9426922
>You still get the reward even if the cosplayer doesn't get the money
oh this is true, I kinda forgot about that part
>>9426968
sounds like some sort of weird peta ad. "show us your tits or you want animals to die"
ModeratelyOkayCosplay is not T&A, male cosplay, most of the rewards are prints and selfies.
R&R Art Group makes some amazing wigs, rewards are tutorials and vlogs
Kinpatsucosplay makes very clean stuff and armor, rewards are prints, writeups, videos
>>9423147
This is so nice to see
>>9427026
I'm pretty sure this happened with one of those rando video chat sites, lol
Some guy would match with girls and threaten to harm his pet (I think it was a dog) if they didn't show their tits before disconnecting.
T and A have benefits
>>9435071
same could be said for Danielle Beaulieu. She's making over 12k a month on Patreon, and just posted about buying a brand new car and renting a house. her fiance is also quitting his job to be her full time assistant.
Kamui.
Yes, I'm aware of all her drama in the past, but she has been making free tutorials for a couple of month now
>>9435626
She also got some awful implants with her patreon bucks
>>9436788
I actually like her breast augmentation, it's a moderate boost instead of really big jugs, wich would look over the top on her very petite frame.
>>9435671
I lost respect when she started doing titty armor
>>9437009
didn't she actually complain at one point that no one was commenting on how her boobs looked in her armor, despite how she would stuff her bra with some socks to make them look bigger?
>>9436962
I was referring to how it looks in her virgin killer sweater (you can find some shots on her instagram) and nsfw tifa photos. Of course they look more monstrous with the push up bras... And nigri has way bigger boobs/implants tho
But i might be biased as I have implants considered to be XL myself.
>>9437885
of course they look more moderate when she's laying on her back. And they still look oversized in her Tifa cosplay.
>>9437962
Its up to you, really. Think about how much you spend on cosplay/what the quality of your work is and when doing prints first do research how much a print order and everything you need for shipping will cost so you do t end up getting pretty much nothing on it. Look at successful patreon profiles that do about the same that you want to with your patreon. Good luck!
>>9435626
>Fiance is quitting his job to be her assistant
Honestly it depends on what his job was. If it was just some low-level full-time gig he probably would make more by cashing in on his fiance, though at the same time you lose out on benefits. 12k a month across 2 people might not be that much given Patreon takes a cut of it and standard of living comes into play
>>9439429
He was in pest control, I think she said. They had talked about moving to Florida at one point so he could get more steady work year round. And that 12k is after Patreon takes their cut. In Massachusetts, it depends on the area, but she also has print sales.
>>9439608
>Pest Control
Yeah, I don't blame him then. Not because it's pest control, but because New England winters probably make work screech to a halt given his field. Florida would be the most steady.
I wanted to see wisperiawigmakers patreon but for the cost to access tutorials it seems a bit much
>>9437009
She did more titty armor in the beggining and stopped a couple years ago.
I guess she realized she was not the kind of cosplayer that can sell her body because she actually has talent and makes a great team with his husband
>>9439616
>New England winters probably make work screech to a halt given his field
depends - winters kill all the bugs but that's when you start to really get mice as they flee inside so....
>>9435671
Kamui has been making free tutorials for years now. Her book is just a nicely formatted and organized consolidation of all the free tutorials she's made and which are still available.
>>9440178
and now that her books aren't selling as well and she can't monetize her videos, she has a Patreon to pay her bills. Which she said she would "never do" less than a year ago.
I only patronize Obsydiann props thus far but I'm possibly interested in more.
I always wondered, do you have to list rewards? sure it's incentive but I have cosplay friends who just receive money and trips from sad boys with absolutely no return expectations. So what I'm asking is.... How little work can I do for free money?
>>9436962
I could care less if she got them done. What kills me is the fact that she is younger than Jessica, but looks like a 40 year old somehow. Like how?? Jessica is cuter, but you can see she is aging well, but holy shit are Danielle's laugh lines and bags and wrinkles so apparent. It looks even worse in unedited face photos. Just a huge turnoff for me.
>>9444326
Share your friends because sounds like crock.
>>9444326
It depends on your audience. If your main audience just wants attention from you (ie sad boys), then you could easily give nothing. They're giving you money because they're hoping that you'll pay attention to them or make them feel special.
If your main audience is interested in your skills, you could still give nothing because some people probably would want to support you, but you'll get more subscribers if you actually give a skill based reward.
