This isn't bad cosplay either.

First, let's take a look at the bodysuit. We see a pink or light lavender suit made of what appears to be spandex or lycra. It appears to cover his entire body, except for the face. Considering that this cosplayer is cosplaying a humanized Pinkie Pie, this is a very respectable way to achieve the different skin color required. As for the face, the cosplayer did a phenomenal job matching the face paint to the color of the body suit. This allows the bodysuit to smoothly transition into his face, rather than being a jarring disconnection. Please also note that the face paint appears evenly distributed, with no visible splotchy areas.

Expanding upon the bodysuit, let's take a look at the 'cutie mark,' or the tattoo that each pony has on its rear. It's placed in the appropriate location for a humanized pony, and is reasonably accurate to Pinkie's own cutie mark. Not to mention the difficulty that comes with embellishing designs on stretchable fabric, such as the one used in this bodysuit. This cosplayer likely had to draw his suit by hand and send it to a bodysuit creator, such as zentai-zentai, to have it created, showcasing his commitment to accuracy.

Finally, let's take a look at the mane and tail. This cosplayer appears to have used a wig for both the mane and tail. The tail is appropriately attached near his rear, and does not cover the cutie mark. Similarly, the mane is accurately draped around his skull, fulfilling the intent of creating a humanized pony. As for color choice, the mane and tail should both be a few shades darker than the skin, or bodysuit in this case. The cosplayer achieves this with the mane, using a wig that is almost perfectly accurate to the color of Pinkie Pie's own mane. While the color of the tail is less accurate, its prime placement and thick, flowing appearance make up for this. As a side note, the ears are appropriately the same color as the body suit and mimic the shape of Pinkie's own ears.

To be honest that's what bothers me and makes it a bad cosplay. Fat? Yes. Not the worst or most uncommon thing. But both the piercings and tattoos could easily be covered/removed and instead they made the conscious decision to leave these out-of-character elements as a main focal point of the photo. I know cosplay deviants does this a lot but that doesnt change the fact that it looks shitty and defeats the purpose of trying to accurately recreate a character design
