Giant robot guy (is he an Overwatch thing? The fuck if I know) was a bro. He was picking up his badge around the same time that I was on Friday afternoon when there was no line, and he was a great sport about getting in the wrong line despite the fact that he was still wearing those robot legs and it can't have been easy to move around. (The staff laughed and opened the ropes up because there wasn't anyone there, but still. He seemed swell.)

Going to heavily disagree. The ruffles are very poorly handled and look more like bedding. By that reference they should be light and fluffy and even and instead they are bunched, uneven and droopy. Overall I feel the whole thing is made with materials that are too heavy for this design. It remind me of when I was just starting out and thought I could build a big, fluffy petticoat with broadcloth.

There's a crap load of work that went into this, even with scrutinizing every detail it's still A LOT of work. I can't even imagine how the hell they transport it, how does she even put that crap on. Also, to the other people saying she's acting like a bitch, keep in mind she's wearing something that likely weighs 50+ lbs that is corseted. It's obvious by that design she has no option but to stand the entire duration she wears it, and it's something she probably needs assistance taking off and putting on.

Am I missing something? Because it doesn't look like there's a stitch of boning in that bodice. Usually the bodice is the first thing I use to judge craftsmanship when I see "over the top" fancy things like this or sakizou, because it's a good indication as to whether the cosplayer actually has good construction bones underneath all of the ruffles. When the bodice completely buckles like pic related, it means she's not wearing any undergarments.

Poorly made + elitist attitude is not a flattering combination.

If you proportion it correctly a normal person would be more than a foot above the ground, as in the dress would be suspending her in the air and her feet just dangling uselessly. It looks good in art, but in practice you have to be a masochist to want to wear this.

Yeah, I don't get this. She probably got loads of compliments all day but that isn't something that should make a person rude of bitchy. There have been times when my cosplay got stopped constantly for photos and received several compliments, and if anything that puts me in an even better mood. Even when the cosplay made me visually impaired, hot and sweaty and made movement physically taxing, the positive responses made it better. I'll never understand why people just get annoyed and bitchy about compliments. God forbid people enjoy your work and say kind things about it.

I'll be blunt, I think the design looks like shit, it's clearly not meant to be worn by real people. I even question how the hell it's possible to even walk in that thing. Her knees would constantly bash against a rigid cylinder.

I saw her right after her friends set up the wooden ring for the first time, and she was still very off-putting. I don't think anyone is claiming it's a huge piece of trash, or saying she has to be a smiling barbie doll the whole time, but the combination of bad attitude + poor craftsmanship + a significant number of people shitting themselves over this thing and calling it "couture" on facebook is always going to ruffle some jimmies on cgl. I will definitely admit though that it looks like a pain in the ass to wear and I'm surprised she managed to stay in it as long as she did. I'm bowing out of the conversation though because we should really get back to posting more photos instead of fighting over this thing.

It's just that it's ~partially~ covered; I would have been fine if they had just painted around the tat and let it be out in its full glory or if they had properly concealed it, leaving it with a thin layer of body paint just looks like when you unsuccessfully try to cover a zit. It makes the look unpolished.
But it's completely possible that's just a personal preference of mine.

Honestly, this was the most depressing thing I saw the whole con and I had to witness it twice. At first glance I thought it was just some odd outfit and thought it was actually kind of cute but when I actually saw the shirt I died inside. There's so many other characters you could do if you wanted an basic childhood nostalgia character to make a sexy version of and yet you go and genderswap, age up, and do a sexy version of a toddler. I even saw her attempt to twerk and I'm dreading whichever video I'm going to find it in.
