I'd like to do Brak, but make it look scary and realistic
with a prosthetic cat snot/jowls and for his teeth, vampire teeth on top and orc tusk on the bottom.
Fëanor would be pretty dope
A really, really good Iron Man.
Guys!! Don't just dream about your dream cosplays!! Get out there on the INTERNET and r e s e a r c h!!! You wanna do Iron Man?? Better learn pepakura! You wanna do Brak with prosthetics?? Better learn SFX skills!! There's nothing stopping you from researching these areas. There's so much info out there!!! Don't just dream, do!! :)
this lil cutie right here, but too bad finding the right fabrics, lace, and appliqués would be hell. Also, maybe Bayonetta herself, too bad i'm 5'4 and stubby though so that ain't happening
I need a willing tall pale Asian ladyfriend to go with me so we can pose together
>>9366301
Okay but it takes time so its still dream, you sperger.
Any iteration of Ichigo as drawn in the manga, my stupid little weeb dream that I'll never fulfill
>>9366425
Any iteration?
I'd love to go as something pretty and frilly and it not be a joke, but I was born a giant, hairy man
One of these days I'll git gud at Pepakura and foam sculpting and do a bomb ass Killer Queen.
>tfw too small/dainty to crossplay as Joshua Graham convincingly
I just want to be the fucking Burned Man
>>9366952
He's pretty small and skinny my dude.
>>9366949
I believe in you, anon!
>>9366955
I'm extremely feminine with small set shoulders and an extremely round face is the main issue. I'll probably stick to Vulpes because the mask and shoulder pads help a lot more in being convincing in my opinion.
Gotham's interpretation of Mr. Freeze.
>>9366357
I'd love to!
if I was a girl...
It'll never happen. I am sad.
Mine would be demon homura for sure!
>>9367401
This motherfucker right here, stuffing it with LEDs everywhere, including the hair to make it glow and on the hands to make the "Hell & Heaven" effect.
I even know how I'd do it
>bend over and stuff myself in a fake round patrick body
>put a hole in the bottom to stick my face out so I can sort of see where I'm going
>make the patrick head out of an emptied coconut in a party hat sprayed pink
>cut the coconut in half and make a pullstring mechanism like in those old grabber toys to open and close the mouth
it's just a matter of finding the effort and time to actually do it. IDK if that method would even work but it's the best I can think of
Being a short, chubby, round-faced latino, being a decent Batman is all I'm asking for.
One of my favorite characters, I'd really love to make this accurate with some realistic wings but my skills make this totally unfeasible right now.
>>9368261
I'm actually in the process of making a Genesic GaoGaiGar now. Still in the mockup stages but here is the head.
>>9368338
All I ever wanted
This character, and actually being able to do some of the physically demanding things she does. Not necessarily these clothes.
Will never happen because I'm male, and because I'm way too bad at physical things, would suck if I couldn't do anything.
Other characters I want to do are Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth, and maybe Eureka from Eureka Seven.
Will never happen because I'm male.
Currently trying to get /fit/, so that's always a start
I have basically zero knowledge of any cosplay making stuff, and I really don't want to fuck it up since there's a lot going on in the costume, so it'll probably stay a dream
>>9368338
>tfw Figh never gets love
>>9369188
You could find like fake muscles made out of foam.
Like having a muscle suit instead of a fat suit.
>>9368738
What's stopping you? This is just a basic kimono. The only part that might be a little troublesome are the drawings on the otaiko part of the obi, and even then, you can simply comission to get them embroided or printed. embriodery/printing
>>9369194
You cant really blame it though, since it gets replaced pretty quickly.
>tfw you never held a needle in your life and probs never will be
>>9368321
This is also one of my dream cosplays, Anon. I want to make it with expanding wings, but it would be hard to transport
I would love to cosplay her, maybe with working speakers if that'd even be possible, but my cosplay making skills are abysmal, and I'm kind of on the manly/round faced spectrum.
>tfw cute girly girl cosplays never
Someone from Xenosaga, most are unrecognizable though other then KOS-MOS and T-elos. I just so do not have the confidence to pull KOS-MOS off. That's a lot more skin showing then I really want.
If only armor wasn't such a bitch to do...
>>9366287
Yesssss, more Silmarillion cosplayers please. I'm starting to see more people do it and it's super exciting.
Really want to do this
Nex, Angel of Death (Runescape)
>>9369421
Make fake boobies!
A Panzer IV tank like that Otakon-anon did but much bigger and fully moving that you sit inside.
I swear granblue has some of the best designs
>>9368283
PLEASE DO THIS ANON.
>>9369194
Cause Figh is lame as hell
>>9366425
Doing the transformed version is always easier. The dress puts me off because i don't want others thinking i'm in some maid cafe
>>9369816
I wouldn't even know how to fake the rest of it let alone the boobs? Like how does the outfit even work? I do not have the skills for it.
Dream cosplay. Tried to get it started this year but the gun commissioner scammed me and I have no idea where the fuck to start with the shoes.
>>9372360
There's a company called Snow Wolf in China that makes airsoft replicas of the M41A. Just hit it with a couple washes of weathering, and you have a great looking prop.
Your con may or may not allow it though, and it may cost more than the prop you were trying to get.
http://www.evike.com/products/37490/
>>9368283
You need to do some foam sculpting if you're really serious about this.
Just Susanoo, fucking gar.
>>9369197
lol, I know, nothing is stopping me but having the time and money, but I'm saving up
>>9372360
You could try looking for the anniversary replicas made by Reebok last year (You can even see the logo in the photo). They usually run for $90 on eBay, but, if I remember correctly, they were only sold in men's sizes, so, unless you're a female hobbit, though luck.
>>9367487
ive always wanted to do madokami, but me and veyr long wigs dont mix well rip
>>9372592
I tried looking for them in January and I could only find them for $400+.
>>9372592
Did they not make them in turbo manlet sizes like 8/7.5?
Deku Princess
especially if I could somehow achieve mobility while in a jar-like construct.
I literally just teared up looking at pics of her because she's so fucking round and adorable.
>>9369083
motherfucker yesssssss! please, do it!
especially if you could master some rollerblade stunts...
that show makes me so happy. I believe in you, male or not, you should do it!
even if you could practice handstands that'd be enough for the character
I definitely would also sew a gaggle of those little flying pumpkin people to attach to myself
>>9372970
Oh anon I would love to see her cosplayed! Best of luck to you!
I wanna do Adam Kadamon, but with the colouring from the OVA where everything, including the hair and skin, is all the same iridescent butter yellow
Vault Suit made from blue leather. I know in the original games it looked like comic-book spandex, but in the later ones it looks either like heavy duty canvas which nearly everybody does, OR weathered leather. And that confusion was cleared up by one line of dialogue in New Vegas; They are absolutely leather.
Where they get this leather in sealed vaults that contain only humans is neither here nor there.
The ones I see just look like any blue Dickie's coveralls will yellow piping, which seems like the least effort imaginable.
Want to do this version of Madoka, but worried everyone is sick of her since the cosplay is so common. Is the uniform version okay?
>>9373419
The suits were made before the war and distributed to dwellers when they entered.
>>9366945
Just get rid of the hair, your size shouldn't be an issue.
>>9365481
Don't do this OP. Go for mask, majora style, and attach a wig. Realism for this would be a mess. Otherwise, pls do it
>>9373917
It's a breath of fresh anime air in a con world dominated by western mainstream shit.
Speaking of Madoka, maybe not dream over all dreams, but doing a couple performance based on this
https://vimeo.com/94859762
would be amazing. Find a nice story to tell by movements to this song, as Homura and Madoka, and win all couple cosplay competitions. Doing this would be amazing, I even want to be this version anyway, she looks beautiful and comfy and free. Imagine this outside in a warm summer night with refreshing breeze. Perfect.
My dream cosplay is a yanme'e from the halo series of games (pic related) I'm currently trying to relearn blender so I can part out and unfold the model I have (greetings from /po/), and I'm also trying to loose some girth, so that proportions are correct (and because I just need to)
>>9373419
my dude that sounds wildly uncomfortable but it would be the coolest thing ever if you actually did it. I can't blame casuals for not dropping hundreds on blue leather but if you could pull it off, fuck
Still dying to do this one, but I lack motivation and it's more fun taking pictures of cosplayers that are way better than I am lol
>>9373419
The denim coverall look I think mostly comes from the vault suits in 3, plus a little creativity given the 50s aesthetic, but if you could do this in all leather you would be my hero.
One day.
>>9373957
Wide shoulders and a 6'3" frame don't lend well to "pretty princess"
When you're built like a linebacker, there's not really many options
dirty deeds done dirt cheap
I'll probably never feel comfortable enough to go for it but this has been on my list since 2008
I'm biding my time until I have the skill to pull off Dark Sun Gwyndolin from Dark Souls. I really want to give his snake legs a go.
>>9372365
I'm not really that serious about it, it's more of a 5am "wouldn't this be fucking hilarious" pipe dream than anything else
>>9365481
It's feasible but it would take at least a year for me to get buff enough and thousands of dollars to get the suit made.
>>9376387
I'm a 5'11 (180cm) thwomplita with an almost 18in(45cm) shoulder to shoulder width.
you can do it. know you're measurements well and learn how to define your waist and flatter your shape. not all princesses are smol.
if you want it bad enough you can do the research, fit/material trial and error, get gud and make your dreams come true!
it'll take research because you don't have the advantage of being socialized female and having years of access to all this feminine cosmetic shit. but it won't be hard and you'll honestly love the outlet
>>9376387
There's at least one person out there who's into bears dressed in frilly shit.
I'd love to do this one day. CCS was my favorite magical girl anime growing up
I've always wanted to cosplay Batman Beyond, but my first rule is "no masks" because I'm such a handsome guy.
Also, I like being recognized in photos. You go to a con in a mask, and you could be literally anybody.
>>9380101
>I've always wanted to cosplay Batman Beyond
> but my first rule is "no masks"
>I like being recognized in photos
That goes against the very essence of any Batman.
>>9380101
You're recognized by the quality of your cosplay, not your face. Plus, you'll be forgotten days after if you don't hit the social media grind, even if you wear a mask or not.
>>9376334
This, hard. I'd love to do a Geralt but I don't think I have the right frame.
Otherwise I'd love to do a really detailed Inquisitior from Warhammer 40k or a Space Marine in power armor. Currently working on a chainsword prop for my Steel Legion captain.
>>9384109
Debating if i want to do a 40k armor for my boyfriend. Might even make a sister of battle for myself, i appreciate the lore and my bf is a huge fan of 40k universe, not to mention it would be bad ass.
9S
My girlfriend would have to be 2B for it to work though, and she doesn't feel up for it... so it'll be kept as a dream
I would kill to be able to cosplay 2B, but I'm such a dunce I wouldn't even know how to make it look decent. I saw the costume being sold on Aliexpress and it looks okay, but I would rather make it myself and have that feeling of satisfaction.
>>9384115
I'm on a couple of the Warhammer cosplay pages on FB and am blown away by the amount of space marine costumes that people are producing. Tempting, but I have neither the time or resources to invest in that.
Was just at a small con outside the capital of New York and this girl brought a crazy demon princess or Slannesh costume. It wasn't great but the scale was crazy, she was like 8 feet tall with wings too. She'd done a cool Sister of Battle cosplay last year as well.
>>9384625
i think ill join them too then, i just need some motivation to get started on them, esp now i found some good eva sources
>>9375361
Good luck. I don't think I've seen a single yanme'e cosplay. Here's hoping you knock it outta the park!
Mastemon is mine, I just don't think I'm anywhere near the skill level to do it proper justice.
Also zero idea how I would even go about the wings, ESPECIALLY because they have detail on the back and they're floating behind her
>>9385265
And that is exactly why I want to do it. I've seen at least a pic of every species from halo being cosed, or at least a progress pic, excepting the yanme'e and the san'shyuum. The amazing thing is that I've managed to keep my files through 2 pc faitalities (sp).
>>9387773
Looks like I forgot that I put a name in my prior post.
Gordon Freeman. And I'm a woman, so other than just building the suit, I'd have to worry about not looking like a 12 year old boy. And I don't wanna half-ass the facial hair with makeup, I'd have to get a human hair piece
>>9387989
Well there's Gina, or you could do the helmet and just be a female HLDM model.
>>9387995
Yeah I'm aware of Decay and Dr. Cross and Dr. Green but most people don't know them. And yes there is the helmet option, but once again, less recognizable.
The heart wants what the heart wants and the heart wants to dress up as a bearded, bespectacled, scientist
I am a 5'4" 100lb girl
> Tfw you'll never be a giant spider witch
Also Garrus, but I don't have anywhere near the skill to pull that off. And I'm short and skinny.
>>9388036
If you have the dosh, you can always get a muscle suit.
The male armor with the hammer variant to carry around with led out the ass
I've always wanted to cosplay as Sheik but it's just too hard (at least for me)
>>9390250
If you do, then please have/get at least a little bit of martial arts training.
>>9390569
this is cosplay, not larp
>>9368338
Temjin you glorious motherfucker. I'm sure you'll be able to pull this off.
I think Kindred would be pretty neat. I've yet to see a version of Lamb that I've really liked though so it would take some planning and experimenting. Also hoof boots ew.
>>9390691
Tbh id use some kind of ghost head on a stick idea that you see with chinese festivals sometimes, i saw it executed once with kindred and I liked that. Too lazy to look it up
>>9390626
It's called getting into character, just like how some people wouldn't cosplay Street Fighter characters without being familiar with their fighting style
>>9390691
You're pretty much fursuiting at that point.
>>9388278
I looked up the cost of one of these and its nearly $1000. I guess my dreams will stay dreams
>>9369819
Im in the process of making a Stug from GuP now
>>9390641
Thanks, Its fallen behind since I started a new job but I am itching to get back to it
>>9390844
This is exactly why. It looks bad to be cosing a Martial arts character, and then when pissing, having a weak ass improper punch as the pose. At least around here, the ma dojos offer a couple trial classes free. Im not expecting a coser to be an expert, but they should know what a proper punch looks like.
In the same idea, if someone coses a char from generic fps, the ones that have at least shot a real gun by default look better stance/pose wise.
>>9392439
Posing*
>>9392439
Fix your English please anon. It's very hard to tell what you're trying to say
Josuke, but
I'm fat.
I'll probably get to half of these at some point, but I got no time in the forseeable future for complex cosplays.
>>9365481
I just don't have the time or cash money to achieve the level of detail I'd be happy with at the moment. hopefully next year!
>>9392822
English my perfect is. Are retarded is you.
Also, STFU faggot.
>>9366357
I'm tall and pale just not Asian.
>>9369388
She definitely piqued my interest when I first saw her too, anon. Although my dream Vocaloid is Luka's V4x.
I really wanted to do one of those "looks like someones riding the animal but its actually one person as both" types of things with this, but now I'm just wondering if I can get someone to be my Jak and I can use my arm to be the FlutFlut's neck and head. I've always been astounded by how whimsical those pet dragons are that people hide their arm in and play around with people. My dream is on a bigger scale. I would also need to convince my husband to be my Jak lol.
I would love to do a Fallout cosplay as a Fallout 3/NV style ghoul. But, I would need to learn a lot about special effects make-up.
Mother War. But it would be a lot of work, time, and money for something that not a lot of people would even recognize
>>9393905
I don't know, that seems pretty easy when compared to a lot of the stuff in these types of threads.
>>9391315
It's gonna be longer, right? It looks kinda squarish there
>>9393948
Kinda going for the cuter 'squashed' look it has in the ED.
Planning to make a larger more accurately scaled BT42 or Tiger I that will be built around a mobility scooter to go with it.
Sakizou fairy design. I dreaaaaam of this outfit, I have the skill and I think I could pull of the looks, it's mostly a matter of time and money. The wig would easily be the hardest part, and while I'm pretty good with wigs, this one would definitely be the hardest I've attempted.
I'm thinking I might try and do it next year...
I'm a skinny short girl with little armor making experience. But he's my husbando
>>9367487
I feel that this is one of those cosplays that comes out completely different with every cosplayer; you should go for it! I made her last year and it was the biggest challenge I had undertaken, but I'm still thinking of adding more to it.
>>9369236
I wanted to do Seth too but I don't feel kawaii enough, so I'm sticking to Shahrazade, who unfortunately doesn't have as detailed an outfit but her gem inlays and gold trim still puzzle me.
>>9373391
Please do this, I'm thrilled to see there's still people out there with some interest in Angel Sanctuary. My friend and I are doing Alexiel and Jibril next year, but I'm nervous about making Alexiel's 3 wings. Good luck with those wings and the iridescence!
>>9394268
whoops, dropped pic. I'm also confused about how to get the beaded shoe straps to stay up since tights are a no-go with bare beet.
>>9394383
An adhesive like pros-aide or medical adhesive. You could try spirit gun, sock glue, or fabric tape but it might not be strong enough
>>9393389
I believe in you, especially because the fallout 4 ghoul designs are a disappointment and I would scream if I saw a 3 or New Vegas ghoul.
>>9365481
Harley Quinn's original catsuit costume with the mask and headdress.
So I don't know a lot about cosplay so maybe this is an overdone one to some of you guys, but as someone who loathes the suicide squad design for harley (Or honestly any design that took her out of her original costume too much. The one that's pants and a vest is okay) i just really want to be one of the people supporting her still damn sexy original costume.
What's holding me back?
>fat
No way in hell am I going to be a short AND fat Harley.
Got a long way to go though but i'm not giving up.
Mine is Belldandy.
It looks simple at first but the shape of her dress is tricky.
I almost never saw a good cosplay of her. I would like to give it a try.
Agitha from Twilight Princess, but I would want this to be ungodly accurate, down to the subtle fabric print/patterns.
Also, ultimate Madoka is another one, but again, need perfection that I can't achieve.
>>9394005
Oh fair enough, I'm gonna build mine on my electric wheelchair I have. I'd love to see a BT-42.
A shame we live in different continents.
>>9400040
Kinda leaning toward the BT just so I drive around playing the finnish polka music.
>>9397410
I've actually started this. I have all the fabric bookmarked and started hand sculpting her jewelery.
