??? Where is the thread title

Anyway, last thread I saw a lot of people making some good progress on their bags. Is anyone working on something new?

This is the same anon as before that was talking about making a phone case for my husbando but since I started playing Yakuza 0 I'm a bit torn... I know I can have multiple cases but even still: would it be weird to go to a con/meet with a bag filled with things for one character yet have a blasted out phone case for another character? Or does no one really mind?

When will they make a bag to house figures and bulky goods items?

I put together my Tsuyu bag kinda quick last night to get an idea of the room I have left, and I'm definitely gonna need a bigger bag pretty soon.

On another note, do you guys think a mint base bag would work for a Mob Psycho bag? I originally bought the bag for Hanayo but I don't like how the mint works with her merch. I just started watching MP100 and I'm SUPER in love with it.

I started laying out my fourth Jojo bag today. I'm waiting for like four more items to come in though. I got the new Salus back back for it and I really like it. It has clear side pockets with the fabric loops for charms like on the front so you can put straps on the side too.
Also I'm waiting on two packages to start my Slayers Lina Inverse bag and my HxH KilluGon bag.

Waiting on a couple big orders and my proper wego bag is killing me (the bigger order is being delivered tomorrow at least, I'm super excited), so I've been playing around with my knockoff bag and some merch I already had for a different character. Only realized after attaching a few items that I'm an idiot and yellow is not the greatest choice of bg for a character with a yellow uniform.

I was wondering, would a patterned bg be too much? I was looking at some fabric with a bike pattern but Im worried it'll be way too confusing/messy to look at, with all the merch on top. Also want to hang some bike charms from the zipper but been hard to find ones that don't look crap.
What sort of decorations do you like to see on bags? Items that relate to the character, bows, ribbons..?
>>
>>9338446
I think having 1-2 figures in a bag is okay depending on size. For example, I got an acrylic love live figure which I'm going to use as a centerpiece in my bag. Stuff from FREEing or Alter is no good but game figs should be fine.

Apologies for the crummy photos, I didn't notice that some of the keychains had flipped when I took them...

I just got back from Japan where I bought the two base bags. The Laura one was a planned purchase (I've been hoarding her merch for years but had no idea what to actually do with it until I found these threads) while the black bag was an impulse buy from Thankyou Mart. I couldn't believe it was only 390 yen!

I'm hoping to continue adding badges to both of them to fill some of the gaps/hide messy looking pins.

RH anon here! I saw some others in the last thread asking about bag progresses and unfortunately I haven't had much time to add to my own. :(

My base bag gave out on me due to a washing machine incident so I had to get a daiso bag as a temp replacement. I would love to get more Roadhog things but haven't seen much of him pop up lately but I hope maybe there'll be some stuff with the new events out this year!
>>
>>9338726
I've got 16 figures (and 2 keychains) for my OTP and an additional 3 figures for my husbando from same series (and 3 keychains).

So I'm kinda past that 1-2 mark.

You don't have to put all your figures in a bag, just a few that would look best. You can keep the rest displayed however you want.

Penguin itabag! I love.
>>
>>9338444
Nice trips.
The package with my bag arrived in the states on saturday and hasn't moved since. The wait's killing me.

>>9338597
I think patterned bg's depend on a lot of things: how dense the pattern is, how many of the colors are close to your merch, etc. All of that stuff determines how much it could make your merch hard to spot. The reaper bag last thread is a good example of a pattern that didn't work well, so maybe looking at that could help you decide. Or you could print a pic of the pattern out and arrange your merch against it.

>>9338747
As a /toy/ soldier, I'd only put non-moving figures/"statues" in an itabag. Actual articulated figs deserve to be posed and played with in my opinion. but to each their own.

Haha a couple threads ago someone posted this image with the suggestion of using embroidery floss and 14ct plastic canvas to make pixel keychains of characters.

It seems useful for characters without much merch, though when it was first posted people were complaining because there /is/ official DR pixel art merch.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I remember someone mentioning these here?? So yeah, I got my Omanjuu Kigurumi case from amiami yesterday and it's hella cute. I love how it gives a more secure feel in hanging the omanjuu on my bag, and since the case is made of hard, but flexible plastic it also holds the plushie's shape better! I was personally too scared to hang this omanjuu on my itabag before, but now with the case I feel completely comfortable doing that! Now I'm just waiting for my new base bag to arrive

Finally ordered multiple pins and a bag for my Veigue/Tytree bag. I'm real excited about it. If this goes well I might move on to a Judas bag but that will definitely be more expensive. I just happened to find a bunch of Veigue and Tytree merch up for unusually cheap (by Tales merch standards, anyways) so I decided to go for it.

Wish me luck, gulls! Pic related.
>>
>>9339530

These are way too cute. This works perfectly for characters with little merch since you can bulk it up and gives your bag something special if you like a really popular one.

Anyone here trying to budget themselves on their bags? Any tips? For the people making bags for older franchises, how much are you willing to spend on rare merch?
>>
Bouncing off the figure-talk, does anyone have examples of using a figure in a bag?

Nope, I don't go to Aselia Con, too far away from my wintery home and right in the middle of university. One day, maybe.

I've got a bunch of stuff on pre-order and a bunch of stuff at a shopping service. Didn't want to wait for it all to come in to see if it looked good together and if it's enough, so I put everything I've ordered so far into photoshop. The canvas is about the size of the bag with the items to scale, so I've got a ways to go but I'm pretty pleased so far.
Does anybody else make digital mockups like this?

Radiant Northwest would be the closest and it's still over the border, but I am considering it for this year or maybe the next.

Maple Gel is in Canada, but it's just too far away. For the price of a ticket out there I'd prefer to go to a big convention like Otakuthon. Maybe one day.
>>
>>9340232
I do, but I always find that my "to scale" mock ups don't take into account enough wiggle room for getting things pinned in place, and end up over buying for the size of my bag, oops

Tiger & Bunny. There's still a few of us kicking around but Season 1 finished in 2011 and the last movie was in 2014. If it hadn't been for /cgl/ having a small but dedicated fandom at the time for it, I would have never known about it because it aired simultaneously with subtitles on Hulu of all places.

It's nice but also sad to consider that on Y!JA they're practically giving away merch of it. Last time I checked there were pages of really nice doujin going for like 100yen. Checked just now and one of the cute alpaca plushies is up for auction and I bought one of those at a con ages ago for $20.

I personally was delighted when I discovered the sheer amount of merch for cheap I could find when I finally gave in to making an anime-based itabag (for some reason I felt it was less embarassing to have a western-based itabag...) because my waifu is from a 10 year old-ish anime (and the less popular of the girls). I scored a ton of her figures for a 1/10th of their original price just by checking ebay now and then.

Do you use your itabag on a daily basis, or do you equip it for special occasions (like cons) only? Just wondering if someone would actually walk around town with it. Or going to school with it.
>>
>>9341844
I have a clear front WEGO backpack that I use as my daily purse. I spend so much on my bags that I'm going to use them outside of the house!

However, I only use my larger totes and more OTT bags at cons. My backpacks only have charms in the clear window section, no extra dangling items, so it's fairly subtle, imo.
>>
>>9341844
Feels kind of a waste to spend so much money on them and not wear them out, so I do. They're both backpacks, pretty handy and comfortable to carry, so I ended up just using them as my daily bags.

I had seen a daytime coworker bring their D.va ita bag to work a few times while I was leaving after my graveyard shifts. Sometimes when I was clocking in I'd see them too and was able to tell her that I like her bag. I'll be honest though this was the only time I had ever see anyone actually bring it around outside of a convention. For my own, I'm saving it for a meet up if there was ever to be one in my area since I've moved.

I work an office job, and I use an itabag as my daily bag. It's a small company without a dress code, so no one cares, and I love my bags.

I didn't routinely carry a bag before I got into itabagging. I'd keep my things in my pockets and if it didn't fit I didn't need it. I just kind of hated purses, and messenger bags were bulky, but now that I'm into itabagging it's something that I love and adore, and it makes me happy to get use out of it.
>>
>>9342343
Nice bag! How are you protecting those Niles Cipher cards, by the way?

I'm planning on implementing my husbando's cards in his bag, but I'm scared of getting them bent, even in card sleeves. I might even just use the whole frame I have them in and have it as the centerpiece.
>>
>>9342455
Thank you! It's a little jumbled right now because I've got new merch coming in the mail and haven't wanted to re-pin things until it arrives.

And they're just in some toploaders! Stapled to the backing board because the plastic is too thick to pin through, but it makes me feel more secure to have them in something rigid. The toploaders are thick and hard enough that my cards haven't suffered any damage at all.
>>
>>9342324

After a couple of false alarms (where the bag only went on sale at a physical location in Japan I guess?) I finally placed my order for one of these bags just now
>>
>seller on Rakuten keeps shifting the price of a product before third party can verify the purchase
What the fuck? This is the third increase in price over a week.
>>

This is the huge A3, I would say its a monster once you load it up when it comes to weight, the inner bag is floppy cloth and wont hold shape so I've placed one of the USPS priority sweater boxes inside and cut the side off and then pinned the bag in place, with the pocket flap inside the box so I can still put my phone in.. but otherwise totally worth it!

I want Zakkamart to make their backpacks fully able to close.. I had two other girls in my group order purchase their randoseru style backpacks and its just a clear flap that velcros on the bottom.. the sides are completely open..

If you don't mind that or don't mind pinning it closed its also a really good one!
>>
>>9342324
Nice bags!

I have a Zakkamart one too, the exact same one as yours. However I've noticed that the actual bag gathers in a strange way when used with the plastic cover, as there's no buttons to clip them together. It happens to my friends who have the same bag. Have you noticed this? (Because your bag looks fine!)

>>
quick question. i'd like to do an itabag for a webcomic, but the creator has asked that people not sell fan goods of her characters, so there's not much out there: the only official merch is 1 set of small buttons. can i just get a bunch of shit made myself like on artsmoo and not be totally looked down on by other baggers?

also has anyone seen any sports itabags? i kind of really want to make one for my favorite team.
>>
>>9343125
is it avas demon?
I would ask for specific permission from the webcomic creator, and clarify that you have permission when posting images of the bag.

Seriously? You are amazing! Do you have Vol 1 or Vol 2?

I currently only own: fist bump ver Suited Kotetsu & Barnaby (vol 2)

Looking for: plain clothes ver Kotetsu & Barnaby (vol 1)

If you have any alt poses (champagne ver suited), etc. Let me know as well and how much you're wanting for them. I'm located in Eastern USA.

New basebag get and merch painstakingly arranged twice, 'cause I wasn't happy with it the first time around! Still not totally happy with it, but I think it's the best I can do with the merch I currently have. Also giving this WEGO bag a 10/10 review! It was even better thought out than I expected.

>>9341844
I currently have two itabags and I do wear them out! Like some previous anons said, I've spent so much time, money and love in my bags there's no way I'm gonna hide them. Of course the thought of people negatively commenting on them makes me a bit uncomfortable, but that's never happened yet.
>>
>>9343125
I'd also ask for permission first, send the author pictures of some itabags and explain what it's about, and that you love the webcomic so much you would love to make one. General consensus is to ask a fanartist before making buttons of their art - I think the same should probably apply to webcomic art, too.
>>
>>9343224
This bag is super cute!! Everything is laid out so nice it's like a collage. The fur pompoms are a nice touch! Is that the wego bag with the 3" window? It's nice to see plush with room to breath for once, haha.

It does cast a bit of a shadow on the top half... I wonder if fairy lights would illuminate the merch like a display case or just drown it out with the glow.
>>
Those of you who use your itabags in casual settings (not at cons or anything similar): What sort of reactions do you get?

Testing out layouts in a new bag I received today. I don't have enough keychains of one character to fill out my bag so I might do half and half, featuring my best ponytail idols. i have one other badge and might be making some plushes as a centre piece.
>>
I'm so torn between getting a heart window bag or a bigger rectangular one. I think the heart ones are adorable and I have ideas on how to decorate the outside, but I don't think it would have enough room for my merch.

Also, a question: are the salus messenger bags roomy enough to put a small plush or figure inside without it looking weird? I recall seeing discussion on which bags had more or less space between the actual bag and the outside of the window, but I checked the archives and couldn't find it.

it's probably going to be similar to kaidan's bag in that it'll be 95% badges made of screenshots, but maybe because overwatch is more popular than mass effect at the moment (and the release of andromeda is going to basically shift off a lot of the fanbase from the original trilogy) i'll find stuff in AAs.

Okay so, please forgive me if this a super newfag question, but when buying a bag from WEGO, is it advisable to use the 'delivery to overseas'/buysmartjapan option that they offer? It seems really straight forward, and I just want one bag, so the 1 item limit isn't a big deal. Am I missing something, and should I use a different service? Thank
>>
>>9344185
Honestly BSJ has pretty steep pricing for a proxy/fowarding service. FromJapan or Zenmarket would be a better proxy. If you're savy enough to navigate Wego's site, you can use a forwarding service since they accept international card.

Just keep in mind that you'll be charge domestic shipping as well as a proxy fee if you use one. Small fees can quickly add up.

When I added them to my cart it popped up with a warning saying depending on where I lived they might not make it through the shipping process but I'm from 'Murica so I figured I'd be alright.

I did just comb through their service rules though and saw their "We don't buy adult goods!" rule but it says to contact them if you're not sure so I just sent them an email with pic related to see if they'd let me purchase because the covers aren't graphic.

Have you ever tried using Tenso? It's honestly the best way to order doujin in my opinion. I have an entire shelf in my bookcase dedicated to doujin (and it's mostly 18+) Tenso doesn't really care what you order since they're just a forwarding service. I order doujin from Surugaya, Toranoana, and C-Queen. Also if you want to skip over the middleman there's always tons of doujin on Mandarake, you just need to have a Visa or MasterCard with 3D Security.

Has anyone else noticed that there's a difference in the way Japanese and Western fans decorate their bags? Japanese ones seem to be much more neat and uniform, with rows of multiples. While Western ones tend to look more thrown together and not as thought out. It's really apparent when looking through each tag on Instagram.
>>
>>9344890
Well first of all Japanese itabaggers have a much easier time getting merch than Westerners.
>>
>>9344890
I personally prefer to see different items rather than just multiples of the same thing. I don't think this is the norm but I dunno, just seems like more care was spent into getting different stuff instead of just dropping a bunch of money at one time on three-five different buttons/keychains.
>>
>>9344757
>>9344863
One of the hardest OTPs to get merch for it seems.
>>
>>9344890
Western itabags tend to be more artistic and with a variety of items while Japanese itabags tend to go for stuffing their bags full of multiple identical items.

It all comes down to being able to purchase stuff easily. If you're paying inflated prices to get merch as a Western, do you really want to pay for five of the same item? No. If you're going to drop the cash you're going to use it to get one of everything or two of everything if there's not much to get.

Japanese fans can just gashapon their way to victory and make a bag out of 5-10 multiples they get trying to get all of a character but we can't do that when a 100yen figure costs us like $10 in the end.

I posted a long time ago about making a kirby bag, its finally coming together.
Its not perfect and I still want to work on it further. The thing that bugs me the most is how much lighter the kirby cafe stuff is compared to how saturated literally all the other merchandise I have is. I know its going to be really difficult to find stuff to match the kirby cafe but I dont want to take it out because they're my favorite.
I'll probably keep switching stuff out as a buy more things to try.

also I really wanted to use the star shape bag for this project but I felt the pink that it was available in would clash with kirby's pink.
>>
>>9344890
Yes, they're very different but personally I much prefer the western style of decorating myself. I don't like repeating merch to the point of having 5 of the same, it looks neat but very boring. I'd have to disagree on the western ones looking less thought out, to me having rows of the same item is not thought out. All in all it's just preference.
>>
>>9344890
It has to do with merch availability, but also I think bag topics. Either you have to pay quite a bit for merch so you want a variety for the money you are spending, or from what I have seen pick western fandoms pick a very little merch so you buy what you can or make it (which I never want to make twelve of the same thing). I will say I prefer the layouts of Japanese bag generally as they seem more patterned to me, but you get bags like kaidenanon's and I think it look fantastic because of the layering.
>>
>>9344905
>>9344911
>>9344923
>>9345035
This is all very true! I hadn't really considered how easy Japanese itabaggers can get multiples. Thanks for the responses, it definitely has changed how I'll look at bags with huge amounts of repeating merch.
>>
>>9345035
Yeah I think having different items lets the art of each shine a little rather than becoming part of a repeating pattern and getting a little lost. That being said I still like the repeating aesthetic but the "thrown together" aspect seems unfair when we don't want to spend $10-20 for the same badge again and again. Japanese fans have the luxery of getting items cheap and then having event and cafes where they can trade for the items they were looking for.

I get the whole "The point is to spend a lot of money" but lets not get super judgey over what is just a ridiculous portable fan shrine.

Yeah, I can see what you guys mean. I don't want to completely scrap the fabric though, even if it was fairly cheap. So I tried arranging things with the more solid-colored figs in between the busier ones and took out the dupes to see if that would help, and I personally think that made it look a little better.

I was also thinking about how it'd work better if the fabric was fainter, and was thinking about trying to fade it with sunlight even though winter kind of limits that. And then I realized, "Hey, I should still be able to see the pattern on the opposite side, right?" So I flipped the fabric over to see, and it was a big improvement! I still might try the sun thing in the future though since I'd like to have the fabric somewhere in between the two pictures.

When were they released? They could just be fairly old and have ridiculous aftermarket pricing as a result. Are all of the ones you've found secondhand around that price?
>>
>>9345116
Hmm, rearranging helps a bit, but not much. I like how the fabric looks, but it's just too busy to back your pieces. I would use it as an accent, and choose a simpler pattern or a solid fabric to use as a background.
>>
>>9345118

I decided to go for red instead, I found one secondhand for the 5k going rate.

Do you have any sewing experience? If you're using a square bag you could find a different fabric for the backing and sew a border around the figures with the colorful fabric.
>pic is really shitty example of what I'm trying to say
>>
Are there any bag group orders going on atm?
>>
>>9345180
I do, and it's a cute idea!, but my bag isn't quite rectangular. I've also got more merch coming with my bag, and I wanted to make things for robots/series I love that I don't have merch for (and there's a good amount of those), so I don't know if I'm going to have room for a border.

Anyway, the package with my bag and such is expected to arrive tomorrow and I'm really excited! I'm also worried about window room and how well these guys'll fit since they're a lot more 3d than typical merch. Cybuster (second from the bottom right) especially worries me, since it's one of my faves but is also ~2" deep with its wings.
>>
>>9344531
I put 3 -18 doujins in my order and so far so good, it has been processed and I'm asked to pay for charge 1

So, going off of that, has anyone had one of these bags before and know how much window room it has? Because it honestly doesn't look like it has much.

Also, I definitely want to try and accent with the fabric, I'm just worried about having the room to do so. Sorry if I sounded like I was blowing off the idea earlier.

>>
>>9345241
Did you get an answer from the FJ staff ? I'm still browsing too since my total is barely above 1500y, any Lunatic-centric or Lunatic/Tiger doujin you'd recommend ?
>>
>>9345116
I actually like it with the colorful fabric. If you added in buttons between them or something it would look really full and cute.

I think flipping it over just makes it look dingy. I like the idea of using that colorful fabric as a border though. Can you maybe get something with a less busy pattern or a solid color?

I need a second opinion here. So I just found pic related (not my photo, but this is the bag) in my closet. It's the perfect character for the character I want to make an ita bag for and I have enough merch to cover up the "Angelic Pretty" but, as you can see, there's no clear cover. I'm pretty worried about having naked charms and badges on this thing, especially since I'd be wearing it to a con. Should I risk it? Will safety pins be strong enough to withstand crowded con areas? Do you guys think I could either make or buy a clear cover for this? I REALLY want to make this work since it's the perfect color and such a convenient bag.
>>
>>9345468
You could make plastic covers like the tutorials posted earlier in the thread and just try to secure them really well. That's what I'm planning on doing since I don't like how any of the intended ita bags look with my fav's merch. I think sticking a cover on that is going to look awkward.
>>
>>9345468
Are you absolutely sure you want to put a bunch of safety pins through what I'm assuming is a somewhat expensive bag? If you are, I'd definitely make a cover for it. It might be a bit trickier since it opens with a flap, but it'll be worth the effort and peace of mind
>>
>>9345468
You could try to secure the merch further by stitching it down with some clear thread. It just means rearranging the bag would be a bit of a pain.
>>
>>9345473
I bought it for $40 (Kinokuniya convenience fee) and I think the actual value is something like $25? It was just one of those magazine bags. Don't let the burando name fool you haha. It served me well when I was a lolita and I'd like to give it second life now that I'm out of the fashion.

>>9345475
>>9345472
I think I'm going to do a combination of these two. I didn't even think about stitching merch down. That is so smart.

Thanks, anons!
>>
https://hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?Maker1=POM&Word=Mise

Two different types of mise bags are still available here, if anyone's interested
>>
>>9345468
If you hot glue the opening clasp of the safety pin shut, it would be very unlikely for that to open up, so that could be an option. There are also safety pins that are made of much thicker metal than the cheap ones that you can buy at Walmart. I have no idea what they are called (if they are even called something different).

The jump rings of the charms may not be strong enough if the charm gets snagged on something/someone and it could break/bend open.

With that in mind, you could split rings instead of jump rings and then thread the safety pin through the split ring.

That's a lot of extra work and it still wouldn't protect your charms from getting damaged. But I'm just throwing those ideas out, as it's worked for me in the past.

I definitely think you can sew a cover for that! If you want to be lazy, you could just sew a rectangle to put the bag into when going around. But you could also sew an entire sleeve, like a book cover, and cover the entire bag.
>>
>>9344559
Anon if you're interested in YYH stuff, HS has a Kurama and Hiei keychains on sale for like $2 each. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10385796 & http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10385795
>>
>>9345014
That is painfully cute anon, I absolutely love it! I didn't even notice the difference in color saturation until you pointed it out, I don't think it's an issue at all.

>>9345116
I also think the fabric is really busy with the figures, but I like it. I like the other anon ideas of using it as a border and getting a less busy/bright base background fabric.

Please don't fuck up your bag even if it's cheap/old! It looks like vinyl fabric so if you pin or sew it and decide to move things around later it'll leave visible holes.
Maybe you could secure a chain or ribbon (pic related) tight across the part with the embroidery then you can rearrange it easily at any time. It'd a really cute base bag, I agree that you should try making your own clear cover bag too for extra protection like the other anon suggested.
>>
>>9344531
Another anon chiming in, please let us know either way how your importing goes! I'd love to get my hands on some doujin that go for 150Â¥-500Â¥ but the USA resellers want $40 for them.
>>
For doujins, I always use: http://www.goody-japan.com/

It looks sketchy as fuck because of the design, but I've had nothing but good experiences (and they have a flat rate for toranoana).

Anyway, I really wish japs had the culture of making fan goods as opposed to mostly doujins. I went to a con and while I got some very cute shit like a bunny suit for my Makishima plushie, I managed to get 0 things for some of my other fandoms (like Bakumatsu Rock) because most circles had doujins (and for pairings I don't even ship).
>>
>>9345168
Aw thank you ! The fabric is pic related, a kirby towel. Its super cute and I'm glad I could make it work into my bag. Instead of having it in my house and never using it because I dont want to dirty it haha.

>>9345237
>>9345519
Im glad that it isnt too noticeable. I guess its just my super picky lolita color matching that has me overly critical about it. Thank you guys so much for the compliments! The kirby merch makes me so happy, especially the kirby cafe items. My personal favs are the two waddle-dees with the rolling pin and the kirby eating the spaghetti. And chef kawasaki is pretty chill too
>>
>>9345676
>Bakumatsu Rock
I already love you anon.

And I also agree. I've seen a small rise in charms and buttons for one fandom I follow. But yeah, its not a very common thing, maybe its too expensive for them to consider producing in bulk? At least doujins are cheap and quick to make for them.

Thanks anon!

I've gotten everything laid out and a few things pinned, so now I just gotta get the rest done. I think I'm going to need some jump rings for the charms, since getting the one pinned and getting it to lay flat was pretty damn tedious. I wound up sorta going with the whole border idea since the charms didn't look as good against the dark fabric.

I'm pretty happy with it, though I'm gonna say that it's definitely just the Mecha Bag MK 1. There's a lot of stuff I didn't get to fit in, so it'll be getting an upgrade sometime in the future. I'm glad I have a few things I can use this current bag for when that happens.

Bags with less space tend to last longer if you carefully layer items. With the heart bags though I don't think you'll run out of space too quickly unless you have a lot more charms/buttons coming in that are 3" or so. At least layering the buttons slightly will save you a lot of space if it really comes down to that.

I have three of these bags and I really love them! They do tend to sag a bit when piled with charms but because of the fabric lining at the top of the clear pouch it's really easy to stick a safety pin in from the inside to hold the inner bag to the outer without being visible. Also I've been able to stuff a small plush in them and not have it distort the outer bag or reduce much of the space on the inside of the bag so they work well with bulkier items too.

Not the anon you're replying to but holy shit I was thinking of making a Lon'qu and/or Kaze bag as well! I had to hold back since there isn't really that much official FE merch in the first place unless I go with fanmerch. If you're thinking of making one I would love love love to see it!

god anon this is so hot

Wego is everywhere in Japan. I just went on a trip around most of the country and every Wego I went to had the heart bags (other window bag styles were more hit and miss). If you're after specific colours, you may need to try a few stores to find them. There are several Wego stores around the Harajuku/Shibuya area just as a start.
>>
>>9349028
Now would be a good time to go for it if you're going to! I'm expecting another burst of FE fan merch, or at least some charm reprints, from the release of FE:H.
>>
>>9349028
>>9349229
Holy shit, I'm also planning to make a Lon'qu itabag! I think a big bulk of mine will be handmade because I know there's not that much fanmerch of him anymore.
>tfw just spent 25 USD on his official rubber keychain

Also, I'm sort of stuck on what color bag to get for him, since his main color of blue is this weird combo of navy and blue-green.
>>
>>9349093
>my two favorite characters from Macross Delta
Who are they anon? I hope for your sake they're Walkure or the Aerial Knights, because everyone else got very little character merch.

And, if you don't mind me asking, what did you think of the show overall?

>>9349255
Thanks! And nice dubs.
>>
>>9349114
>>9349141
Yeah, sorry, 2500yen. My mind just quickly converted it to the rough equivalent in dollars.
>>
>>9349533
That's ok I've trained my brain to do the same thing now.

Y'all are my lifeblood. Thank you. A lot of what I have for Lon'qu right now is definitely fanmerch but I don't mind it so much. I'm an artist as well so I'm happy to support other artists while also funding my character love.

I can't believe you got his rubber keychain! I remember seeing those for $50+ back when I was thinking about a bag for him (last summer I think?). Can I ask where you got yours?

For his bag I'd hate to say just default black because it would be hard to see his hair but maybe gold could work? Looking at reference of him and his blue in some shots reminds me of denim which would be a hilarious but still viable option, haha.
>>
>>9349435
How about a dark red? He'd stand out against it and it would match the belt/details on his outfit.

>Denim itabag
I hope country fans are taking notes.

Same about supporting other fanartists! Krazehkai made a Lon'qu/MU doujin (and they're in the middle of the second book, I think) that I snatched up, and I'm hoping to integrate that into my itabag. For now, though, I think I'll make some cheap shrink plastic charms out of the official art (I'm so glad his Heroes art is pretty nice and didn't land a poorer artist choice) and some of my own.

It's still in the middle of shipping, but I purchased a used one from Surugaya. They still have listings on Rakuten and Yahoo Shopping, from roughly 25-27 USD (Yahoo is the cheaper one). There was a mild increase in the pricing by a couple hundred yen right around Heroes' release (tfw Zenmarket kept cancelling my purchase because of the price change), so I'd jump on it right now.

There's also some Yahoo Auctions for his Cipher and the FE 25th anniversary badges going on that end soon, by the way!

As for color,
>>9349570
Yeah, considering the ambiguity of his tunic color, a red might be the best choice? I might cheap out and just stick with one of the black knockoffs and use a red panel for contrast, until I find a legit red or blue bag I like. I was planning to use fur trimming on the blue to incorporate his sleeve detail, but the black could work since his boots also have the fur! Thanks for the brainstorming!

Good luck to other FE itabaggers who are hyped by the new mobage.

Freyja and Mikumo! I love walkure. The show itself.. well I loved it. It had idols, romance and mechafights. Oh and I cried because of axia. I cant remember anything I disliked about the serie soo yeah.. I do hope there will be a second season!

I will be posting my progress when I have any.

Honestly I imagine it's harder to find items for other heroes. There's only been a handful of McCree bags and way back someone said they were working on a Lucio bag but I haven't seen them return.

When I look for stuff for my Roadhog bag I really don't see a lot of separate items for other characters. Mercy has a fair amount of items made for her so I think it's just a matter of someone loving her enough to spend that much on her.

I know sometimes people sell their items in class groupings (button packs of attack only heroes etc) and it turns some people away since they usually just want one or two but from different classes. For some characters it's just hard to find more than five items from various artists or only one artist.
>>
>>9349675
Yea not a lot of artists bother doing the whole roster since there's tons of them. I'm like 2/3 of the way finished with my full set of ovw charms and I'm sure I won't sell off all of my stock of lesser popular heroes like torb, bastion, etc. so I can understand why other people don't bother making them. Something to keep in mind when buying fanmade merch, shipping and store fees for one button usually isn't worthwhile so they do 3-5 sets isntead.
>>
>>9349700
This. If I sell a button for a euro on Etsy, Etsy pays me 27 cents. Add production costs and I'm earning literally nothing.

That's fucking adorable. I wish I has time to craft stuff for my bag, but college really gets in the way of that.

I got this bag in today from a past group order. Would anyone be interested in pics/a review for this kind of backpack? Cause I"d be happy to oblige. I'm really happy with it and glad I got another before nearly all the colors sold out.
>>
Looking at some preorders, I can get straps or keychains. I'm already ordering a lot so getting both is a stretch... which do you guys prefer? Which do you think is aesthetically better?

I usually always get keychains because modern phones don't really have that little lip for straps anymore, and I'm afraid of the strap breaking... but the chain can break too.
>>
>>9350266
Omg that's so cute!~ you should do commissions! I'd love to include things like this in my bags!~

Trying to work on my Camus itabag without much success? Mainly due having trouble with pining things in the lower pouch. Any suggestions on rearranging?
>>
>>9350798
I don't quite see what's unsuccessful about it except some of the charms flipping around? Maybe just take out the 3D chibi charms and make them into a chain that comes off the side of the bag instead of trying to get them to stay put inside? Those are notoriously the hardest to position

has anyone purchased this base bag? (i got the link from a previous itabag thread) i like that it has grommets for the straps instead of just a big opening in the vinyl like the zakkamart totes.

if you have one, could you do a little review, please?

D.Va is best waifu. I wasn't going to make a bag for her, but she's so damn cute. I kinda feel bad though for wearing my itabag of her as I haven't had much time to play OW in the last few months because of work and school. I have this weird habit of feeling like if I'm going to show off my power levels, I should be really passionate/active in the fandom/game of my itabag. Oh well, it's not like I'm claiming to be a good player or anything, I just love D.Va. I guess my feelings just stem from cosplay, in which I only cosplay from shows/games that I genuinely like rather than just cosplaying it because it looks cool.

>>9350733
I would love a review anon! Always wondered about this bag. Looks like it be good for heavier items.

>>9350798
I agree with >>9350801 I honestly looks great to me. Very full and awesome overlapping. I've also heard of using fishing line to hold 3D charms in place as well, but that would be much harder to do with a fuller bag like yours.

No problem! I'm thinking of getting one myself. It looks like a great alternative to the Uta-Pri bags and just a nice tote in general.
>>
>>9350845
i agree...the utapri ones are really nice, but those prices, ugh. this is like the cheaper version.
>>
okay itabaggers, hit me with your best ribbon rosette tutorials.
>>
>>9350746
For itabags it usually doesn't matter, since we tend to take the strap/keyring part off when pinning items into place. Personally I prefer straps because they're easier to take apart.
>>
About the Uta-Pri style bags, do people generally use only one side of it? Or do they pin stuff to both sides?
I love the way they look but they're huge, I don't know if my wallet could stand filling both sides.
>>
I am so envious of everything and everyone in this thread.
I wish I could have something like this of my husband.
>>
>>9351078
Well, why can't you? Budget? Lack of merch?
>>
>>9351078
she's baaaaaaack
>>
>>9351079
Mainly the lack of merch. Unpopular character of a show that never got much merch to begin with.
I'm not comfortable making merch of fan art since most of the good fanart is from pixiv artists and it is difficult since I don't speak the moon speak.
I make my own merch but using your own art isn't as satisfying.

>>9351081
She being?
I'm new to this thread, I mainly stick to the cosplay threads but since this one didn't have a title I peeked in and liked what I saw.
But you probably won't believe this since you have a preconceived notion of who I am. So I really don't care.
