Looking to cosplay Dva because she's my main/I love her but I don't want to get lost in a sea of them. I have that nice but generic quality suit everybody has and it fits great but could anybody share some tips on improving it? I definitely want to make shoulder/neck pieces that look like armor but are the printed black parts around her waist still frowned upon? Has anybody dissected the suit and sewn new parts with it?

I'm kind of tempted to do Hanbok D.Va, because like most Koreans, our moms have hoards of hanboks and I have one that looks pretty similar to D.Va's. DESU I'd be tempted to wear it as like a Day 3 thing, except they're fucking uncomfortable as hell.

I also can't wait to see how many people go straight to shitty faux satin and hot glued cheap ribbon to make some of these. While I don't think it's impossible to make a good one, it's going to be great to sit back and watch how many bad ones roll through.

I gained 25 pounds over a month in the summer, with constant exercise in a dance camp, and lost 30 doing absolutely nothing. I'm not trying to use it as an excuse anon, it's just that my attempts to lose weight have not shown results. The question about the cosplay involved the time being, no need to make a big deal.

That has nothing to do with your thyroid. You should never be gaining that much weight at one time if you are on the medication. You shouldn't be gaining that much weight at all if you are a normal person eating at a normal 2000cal diet. There must be other factors such as you bringing or something because, frankly, that makes no sense. Either you are self diagnosing and don't have an ugly small rounded thyroid if you have Hoshimotos like I do.

Eat like a normal person of have your medication bumped way up to 1mg and not some dumb shit like .25mg. Clearly you have other problems besides thyroid issues if are gaining 25-30lbs.

Also, while dancing is a great source of cardio, it shouldn't be the only way you get exercise and this won't help you lose weight if the rest of the time you are on the tv, eating junk food, drinking sodas.

Honestly anon it doesn't sound like you know what you are talking about as far as having this disease goes. I was diagnosed 12 years ago. Your body, in one month regardless of stress or hormones, should not under any circumstances gain that much weight if you are active and eating regularly and taking Synthroid. Losing the 30 mustve been from something else entirely at all. No way your body is that fucked up anon. A lot of it probably isn't even true fat, but your body retaining water from sodium and dancing as well. There are other factors than just blaming a thyroid anon.

I built mine off of a long opera length silver glove. Used EVA and craft foam for the wristpiece and arm pieces and painted the rest of it to make it look more organic. The whole thing is in separate parts if that'll make it easier for you to start.

It actually wouldn't be applique or embroidery if you wanted to be super accurate. Geumbak is done with gold leaf and not thread. Using gold fabric paint + stencil would be the way to go.

The fabric looks like those stretchy lycra/cotton blends that artsmoo prints its skater dresses on. Ramie (for warmer weather) and silk (for colder weather) is what's generally used in actual hanbok so the fabric immediately read as wrong to me. It's also gonna drape wrong if they're using fabric that's not stiff enough.
