Since OP obviously doesn't know how to start a dump...
sorry, got caught up reading comments
I adore this photo
Why did she post a pic of her face at this angle??? Makes it look like she has five o'clock shadow.
Thats obviously her real hair. How are you people so bad at telling wigs from the real thing appart. No wonder theres a shitton of you wearing heinous wigs you actually think it looks real.
ugggh, nothing pisses me off more than newbies thinking all lolitas need to wear a wig
Corsets tend to be too long and ruin the lolita silhouette when worn over skirts or dresses, so you generally only see them in aristocrat or a very small subset of gothic lolita. Or ero, but that's its own can of worms.
gonna take a dump for you all
that's all for now
This seems like a hot mess to me. The glasses age her so much with that outfit and the those boots don't suit the dress at all.
R O U G H
Not awful, but I don't get the shoe choice when she didn't incorporate it anywhere else in her outfit?
Is that skirt super short or is she just really tall? She looks like if she bent over her bum would be hanging out.
>here's today's outfit for a trip to party city with my daughter then a dinner date.
ugh I'm so glad she's not my mom
Why would you want to bring anyone into this world?
I am open to concrit! (Yellow dress coord)
As far as glasses go, due to my lens prescription I have to have larger frames, I went with a clear frame as darker/colored frames were too bulky. I know they are basically modern grandma glasses. Orz
Different anon but I suggest wearing a different pair of shoes or boots, preferably in another color like ivory. The pair you're wearing in the pic is gorgeous but it doesn't go well with the coord. There are countless examples of heels that will be appropriate, whether you want to go with something cute and delicate or even something like Meta's trademark stripper heels if you want a more oldschool look.
You're a cutie! I think the glasses are fine, I know the struggle. But I agree with different shoes, maybe red to incorporate the colour from the print, it would look good if you also added a red bag. I also think you would look better with otks, or ankle socks, depending on what shoes you have. I personally love your headwear, but be aware that it contributes to the grandma aesthetic. Also, your lipstick/lipcolour is fantastic!
I am currently trying to find just the right pair of ivory shoes/boots. My closet is not overly sweet and most are covered in heart detailing. If you have any specific examples that would be wonderful.
Thank you! The print on the dress is actually a bright rosey pink, not red unfortunately, which is why I tried to work with the lace tones instead of the print colors. I will collect some accessories that share the same color as the roses.
My lipstick is Oh Snap! from colorpop. I love their lippies entirely too much.
I am so fed up with people posting to COF with their non-lolita coords. Sure this is pretty nice looking but attention whore much? Go somewhere else with your non-lolita outfit.
Do the mods actually do anything about non-lolita posts? No one calls anyone out on shitty coords or shit that isn't lolita. COF is just a shitty circlejerk of "OMG I LOVE THIS"
is this a progress shot or something?
left is straight-up babby's first lolita, and left is like
>if you have the money to blow on moitie then why the fuck have you not gotten less shit wig in the meanwhile
pretty, but am I alone in thinking that...headdress...hat? is a bit much for the coordinate? like everything is soft and dreamy and pale from the neck down and then BAM, I wore a whole bouquet on my head.
I'm not sure where you were going with this coord. If you prefer those glasses, then maybe a different style like classic would suit you better. This outfit just doesn't seem cohesive at all, so first I think you need a starting point. What kind of style do you want to try? What kind of outfit did you have in mind? Pick ONE color and go from there. For instance, I think the darker red in the flowers in this dress is quite lovely and would go with your wig. I would look for a bolero in that darker red, and then I would invest in tights. Under-the-knee socks with tall boots just doesn't work in general - not only with lolita fashion.
Lastly, it looks like you've got lovely eyebrows. I don't think your brow makeup application should be this heavy. You've got a lovely face; natural makeup as opposed to heavy would only enhance your beauty. This wig looks nice on you too. (Or, your real hair?)
I think ivory tights and a darker red bolero with long sleeves would improve this coordinate a bunch! Anyone else can feel free to weigh in but I hope it helps.
You're in love with her face, seriously? You must be in love with Tiffany Trump's ugly mug too because they look like they could be sisters
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome strikes again.
I feel bad for girls with FAS, it's not their fault their moms drank too much, but they sure do look fucked up.
Apparently the worst part is that you can rarely get all the physical features without the mental deficiencies. Since most FAS ppl have both, you just get to LOOK like a retard while not being one.
That's cause though it's sorta old, but Baby's Le lac des Cygnes is not an old school piece.
It's from 201..
And it's the OP version which clearly doesn't fit her well, the jsk version would look better on her.
But the coord itself isn't so bad, just not old school which is probably why people are defending it?
I'm confused by this one. Is she wearing really long black gloves?
I was just waiting for this one to be posted.
Jesus what a mess.
"Positive concrit only" and full of defensive excuses when people helpfully (and gently) suggest changes.
Just looks like a sloppy weeaboo. Just wear normie clothes, if you're gonna halfass this hard.
Also, she has no forehead, needs some bangs real bad.
There isn't, but a coord can straddle both categories, particularly if in this case it's matchy enough with the color scheme and fits the silhouette, which it does.
Like seriously, we go over this in every otome thread ever because there's always at least one newbie asking this.
I love this, she looks great in Moitie.
Had no idea these coats were actually less tiny than the listed measurements (as in like 82cm bust or something), that gives me hope as I have a 87cm bust!
I like her hair (in general) but her hair doesn't always work with every coord, especially the short "betty" fringe looks out of place.
In fact it kinda ruined most coords she makes, but I like how it looks with Moitie.
I agree that a coord can be in that grey overlap area, but her coordinate doesn't fit the silhouette? The skirt is entirely flat, if she wasn't holding it out it'd just look lifeless.
Nitpicking but she didn't post in the otome version of COF despite admitting she was wearing otome, so it seems like she's fishing for likes.
I did have an old-school intention, it was a very thrown together coord for a casual lunch with comm members. Its a new additiona and wanted to wear it out.
As I said in my previous comments the roses are pink, not red, I tried incorporating red and it looked very off, I will be hunting for coordinating pink items to work with the print better. Also my natural brows are fair and I draw them in, now that I have the shape down I will work on filling them lighter.
I will keep all your points in mind going forward, thank you for your help!
I did wear a matching purse with the shoes, but I had already put it away for the day. A cardigan or longer sleeves seems to be my biggest crit. I will definitely be getting one.
An apron is a wonderful idea, thank you!
there's a little bit of blue in the print so I can see where she was going with the blue shoes but she should have put something blue in her hair or something to balance it out better
They do, but they aren't bad looking. It's nice to see decent handmade, I wish more people would post their handmade stuff.
>ANON R U BLIND OR JUST RETARDED THOSE SEAMS ARE HORRIBLE AND THAT HEM LINE
I'd actually say the thing that's lacking here is the blouse/accessories.. The red JSK is perfectly serviceable, but the necklace is a little delicate and the blouse is just very blah.
This is actually one of the reasons I like her. She has a pretty good sized wardrobe and a sensible style about her. I like seeing lolitas use the same items multiple times desu, especially when she makes coords that seem so wearable for day-to-day life. Not everything has to be OTT or brand new all the time.
Not keen on those tights and the boots look a bit weirdly positioned in the pic, but I love the coord above the knee. Never thought I'd like that dress when AP released it but she makes it look good.
I like this. I'm guessing the bangs are clipons and I'm not sure if the twintails are her natural hair or not. but for the record I would really love to see more black lolitas with natural hair. I think it can work if it's done right.
Everything else is nice but the cape looks like a rug. Reminds me of my childhood, running around with those rugs tied around my neck.
First anon here, I didn't say it was plain, nor that I'm annoyed by seeing popular items.
My comment was for that coord specifically, it's something that I've seen many times before: IW bolero, floral dress in green/pink/burgundy, and brown shoes.
It's like those Holy Lantern coords, they all look the same.
Her face is really kind of ugly and she has one of those "fish smiles" when she opens her mouth.
Also, she just looks like a total normie in lolita. I really dislike the ombre hair, red nail polish, and that awful belt.
I gotta say, with the way the skewers for the madonna crown are placed, it looks kinda cool. Maybe it's just because it's a visual change up from the usual awkward "skewers are shooting out directly from the top of my head only" look. To me this looks more like what madonna crowns are trying to get the look of but often fail to do. Definitely is something that only looks good in pictures though and I'm questioning if the skewers here arre even painted gold?
Those are not at all flapper. A flapper dress silhouette is specifically rectangular, loose and shapeless. It was a huge rebellion from the structured, corseted dresses that had been worn up til then. >>9328336 anon is correct, flapper and lolita styles are complete opposites.
wow, she could have at least had the cape fabric gathered.
it literally looks like she had it cut from the bolt at the shop and then just threw it on.
so grossly lazy...
this coord would have succeeded without the fugly cape. maybe a bangle or two.
I think it's pretty tacky to have bag/shoe replicas and bitch about prints, but I feel like print replicas are a far worse offense. There's an anon who usually pops up in these arguments and screeches about how bad bag/shoe replicas are so beware. You may have summoned her.
Personally I own SS tea parties and AP tea parties an literally you can't tell the difference unless you do some serious inspecting. They're essentially the exact same shoes.
I also own a legit melty moon purse and a knock off. The AP purse is only ever so slightly higher quality but definitely not worth 5 times the price of the knock off.
Honestly I'm probably never going to be buying legit brand shoes or bags again because they're a rip off.
Why the odd group picture where you cant even see her? Seems awfully rude to post a group picture, especially when a few of those girls are far from even decent.
Hope she got permission from every single girl in that picture.
