What's the best white nail polish, for French tips? I've heard OPI's Alpine Snow is good? And can anyone recommend a good base and top coat? I can no longer wear "fun" nail art, due to work commitments. But I'd still like my natural nails to look presentable.

Are these all disgusting or is it just me?

I think I finally found a balance between wanting nice decorated nails and being a lesbian/artist/someone who hates long nails and it's press on nails.
I bought an inexpensive drugstore pair for a New Year's party tomorrow but I want more. What are some good shops to get cute predecorated ones? Looking for heavily deco-d ones. My nail beds are on the smaller and flatter side but I guess I could always file things down until they fit

Also the longer they are the more dirt that can get under then.

my nails are super bendy and whenever they get even a little long, they bend and start to crack at the bend points, eventually breaking my nail. anyone know how to combat this? I usually just paint my nails so they have some sort of extra stiffness, but paint fumes suck and the bending cracks the paint after a day or two...

Tbh I don't know how anyone can have long nails, dirt gets stuck under there and it's a really gross feeling when your talons start bumping against random objects, it always feels like someone's trying to peel them away. I get press-on nails for an event or something but every day?

I just got fake nails for the first time (little claw acrylics) and honestly i take back a lot of the shit i use to say about them.

Granted mine arent very long at all, but after the adjustment period i really like them. I'm an flight attendant so im literally useing my hands all day, and maybe i got lucky with how well they're on but I've managed a month of service with 2 separate medical situations and they haven't impeded me in any way.

As for dirt, i keep an old tooth brush as a nail scrubber so im good.

Tldr i used to be a snob about girls with 'useless' nails and now i am one

In my experience, people with long nails care way more about them than people with short stubby nails, esp bc of the aesthetics and are therefore more prone to caring and cleaning them. All the people I know with short nails don't care about them at all and their nails are gross bc of that.
