Is there anything you gulls can tell me about this brand?

I'm really intrigued by it, and other than what the seller has said on it it's all I've heard about it. The tag looks pretty cool and seems to be something really old. I don't believe I've even seen mention of this brand/line in any Kera or old GLB.

Look for specific design features that are common in oldschool like large peter pan collars or neck ties, big puffy sleeves, torchon or eyelet lace (watch out for tulle lace, it's more modern and doesn't suit the aesthetic as much), etc.
You can try looking through lolibrary and try to pinpoint the exact year a certain blouse was released if you're really dedicated but it's basically little things you need to look for, you'll be able to recognize the typical oldschool look with time.

Angelic Pretty used to be a brand named Pretty.

I got it off of closet child because it was cheap, but it's still in great condition. I feel pretty good about being able to reuse such an old dress. I don't think anyone would be able to tell it was made 10 years ago.

A lot of people have asked why people like to wear old school. I guess my main reason it's because it's cheap, and I like it just as much as newer, more expensive dresses. I first heard about the fashion through characters like Misa Amane and Marley from Pokemon. (Not that they are the best dressed) I'm finally glad I can participate in the fashion now.

Also I'm a pretty sloppy person. I think it old school lolita fits me better with not having to be so perfect with all the details all the time.

That's a nice dress and looks like a great versatile piece, but does it look very different in person? Maybe I'm more into oldschool than the average lolita, but I'd clock that as an older piece on sight from the cut and details, even though it doesn't have any of the typical features like torchon lace.

I mean the quality of the dress is still good, not that the style isn't outdated. It is well-made (like most brand dresses) and the previous owner did a good job of caring for it. It is cotton too, which I think makes it easier to care for.

No. This is probably the most released dress in the lolita's history, Baby's Karami jsk. Compared to actual lacemonsters this dress has lace pretty sparingly and it's placement was considered carefully. Lacemonsters usually have lace all over the dress and not just in pretty considerated details and the lace lacks quality. Quality lace in old school is mainly cotton, it's super detailed and the dresses use different laces. Lacemonsters usually have only that scratchy, ugly and wide lace used in, for example, in underwear. That's called rachel lace and if you are a newbie I would advice to stay away from it completely. I find the quality of lace and other materials most important in defining if the dress is lacemonster or not.

I got mine from F+f and sewed wide cotton lace to the hem. They used to had bloomers with the lace but apparently they no longer carry them. I have seen pretty ones recently by Angelic Pretty, Ergi by Piratessan and Chocomint. IW has also longer ones but the newer ones mainly use tulle lace. Lolitabutiken carry many suitable options.
