It looks bad anon. Just really sloppy in general. The armor looks thin and lumpy, especially around the chest and all the straps showing really kills the overall look. And I agree about >>9283178 and the ill-fitting bodysuit. It definitely has some potential and you can definitely clean it up. Genji has a really clean and fluid design in general so it's definitely not easy to pull off. It ain't terrible for babby's first project but you have a long way to go.

I don't have the skills to make a Mei costume and I don't want to be one of those awful tank top and leggings Mei. I thought it might be interesting to cosplay her in traditional Chinese wear. I know hanfu aren't worn anymore but I think it could be cute. I thought a qipao might be more appropriate but they're not as elegant imo.

An overwatch cosplay would be fun. Who to do though? I'm a guy but I basically have Mei's hair (bangs/sideburns, minus the bun.) Same glasses too. Kind of tempted to try a Mei Genderbend just for shits and giggles. I"m not really sure how to go about a genderbend mei though. There's not a whole lot of art on it from what I can find. Hi there again. I also wanna make D.Va's MEKA but planning to make it moving and possible to seat in. Have a few ideas but not sure how to do it right.
I'd planned to make MEKA with worbla around usual chair and then place the construction on someting.
1. place MEKA on two electirc skateboards, but the max weight on every skateboard is around 100kg, not sure about MEKA's weight (my own is ~45kg). and I'm not sure how to
synchronize two skateboards with each other and make the constructon stable.
2. Programme an Arduino/Rasberry Pi system for moving. That solves the synchronization issue but usual robotic system,s for non-professionals are not for such a big weight.
3. Put an electic motor for motor boats or bicycles in it. I'm afraid it would be too big and hard to control. And once again, stable and safe to use.

I'm not planning to create any special interactions, just moving like a usual remote control car toy.
Will be glad to hear ur comments esp. if any of u are into robotics.

Just imitate the default skin as closely as possible. In all honesty, the only thing you really need to change for a genderbent Hanzo is covering the exposed chest and not glueing down the facial hair. (Protip: wear a sarashi.) The character design is flexible enough that your frame and face will make it obvious that it's a genderbend, without having to modify the design.

I honestly didnt plan on chanhing much aside from the chest wrapping and the shoes. His hairstyle is just... around the face it's very masculine, so I was trying to figure out something for the bangs that would be almost just as recognizable, but still clearly feminine. I guess hime bangs could just end up turning me into a moe uguu shrine maiden archer uwu though.

I guess I can play around with it a bit when I actually get tbe wig, it'll be a short ponytail regardless of what I do with the front of it. I'll almost definitely post here for opinions before I go out of the house in it anyway.

Progress coming in on my Ghoul Ana. Bought my speaker and amp setup, so people can actually hear me. My friend that's building it is currently working out how to keep it accurate in looks and proportions, housing the lights for the eyes and mouth and the battery, while having it fit on my big head. Said it should be done within 2 weeks, then it's time to work on the rifle.

I should be debuting this at an anime con in Omaha, NE in February, barring that, Naka Kon in Kansas City.

Very sad. I made a Mercy breastplate I was really happy with and it cracked in my suitcase when I was taking it home. The con isn't until April and the cracks aren't too bad at least.

Ok, so I'm a girl trying to crossplay Hanzo and I've searched just about EVERYWHERE possible and I can't seem to find a tutorial to bind and conceal so I can cosplay him properly. I've tried makeup to conceal my nipple but I don't know where else to really go after that. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to conceal the fact that you're binding your chest while partially topless? I mean I could always pull the material up a bit more if that's all I can really do.

What? If you're crossplaying, you can't just have your boob hang out just cause Hanzo has his out. No, not because it's a sexist thing, but it's a logical archer thing. OK HISTORY LESSON TIME. Buckle up, buck-a-roos.

So in 13th century Japan, in non city states, but like in the bush lands and mountains, women were allowed to go with men on hunting trips. Usually it was to watch over the men, like a good mother hen, but sometimes if the troop was small, and they need more hunters, women learned how to handle the swords, spears and sometimes arrows and bows. Also unlike city states, women in the field did not wear 50 layers of silk kimonos. They just wore potato sacks just like the men and worked all day. Nobody in the rural lands gave a fuck. They DID however give a fuck when the women got preggo. Meaning, where there were little to no breasts before, they were now enlarge, engrossed, and sensitive. AKA they GOT IN THE WAY. And what the fuck is archery? It's using your chest muscles and upper arm strength to pull back a strong string and being able to hold up an arrow for a long period of time without it waviering it's line of sight. You're trying to keep your arrow up and straight, and all of a sudden there's this big lump that jiggles that hinders your ability to aim at something properly. So what did they do? The binded them with wraps. They squished down the ta ta so they could get their proper stance back. It's why between like 1450-1600ish, birth rates outside big cities in Japan were a lot lower and had big gaps. Women didn't want to have big boobs, cause after you have the baby, your breasts don't go down to normal size for months, and men were annoyed that they lost their hunting party numbers even after the baby has stopped breast feeding. They tried to have as many kids as possible the first time, so they wouldn't have to worry about it later.

tl;dr- If you're crossplaying Hanzo, wrap up your boob. Don't let it hang out just cause. Gawd.

Out of foam. Break the entire thing up into basic geometric shapes. You have a big rectangle at the back, a handle, and two longer rectangles with a PVC pipe between them.

After that, start adding little foam bits that make it look more like the gun it's supposed to resemble.
Then you fill cracks and sand.
Then you paint it.
And then it's a fucking gun.
It's harder than it sounds but it's easier than you're making it out to be.

there's nothing to really know about Overwatch though, I think games that are exclusively multiplayer don't really matter if you don't play the game but like the designs. i currently don't have any good photos of it (yet), but the blue is slightly darker than what you'd assume in-game. i personally don't mind that, i think it looks good, but i know that's not everyone's cup of tea.
as for breathability, i'm not going to lie; getting into it is a pain the ass (i needed two people), and it gets very hot in there very quickly (which is concerning because i'll be going to a con in australian heat in this).
other than that, it's made really well (though ascosing fucked up the armour bits but it's an easy fix), and really good quality.

I think the trick with Mercy is using the black+white to give the silhoutte. Like, there's a chubby girl who looks completely different in her photo from the front than in video, because the black part gives the illusion of her waist being much smaller than it is.
