I'm giving it full points just because it's THAT set. The exclusive set of Sugary Carnival that you can only buy at one specific location, sold out really fast, and if you thought Sugary Carnival used to be expensive on the secondhand market, this set went for a full $100+ above the sax blue colourway at any given time.

And I think it's gaudy as fuck. Just look at that blue with those cotton candy pastel horses. In an era when AP was mostly pastels they also made this, wtf is it supposed to go with? Scratch that, it's 2016 and I'm still not sure how to coord it without needing to hand out eyebleach.

So yeah, full points on this chick just for (a)actually wearing this set that I've watched people wage crazy bidwars over but never actually seen worn, and (b)not looking as bad as I thought it would.

That's the thing, it's not really the crappiest coord, in fact it's pretty striking in a sort of slightly color blind way. I mean, just look at the main piece she's working with, she could have opted for a safe but really boring coord for her rare coveted dress or looked like a blueberry in totally matching blue. Instead she seems to have opted to be really bright and confusing, but kept to an otome color scheme that didn't entirely clash. So the outfit was interesting in a confusing sort of way, if that makes sense. There is just enough cohesion that she doesn't really look like she dressed in the dark.

Wouldn't say it's the best coord ever, but for this specific dress, it's pretty close.

This is great. You 'colors don't match' guys are boring as fuck. It's not naive mismatching, everything's playing off each other in interesting ways, much like an otome approach to styling. Equally though it doesn't look like an ensemble that's trying to hard, and just looks cute and fun to wear.
