I didn't search that in depth about what Taobao Carnival is but it seems to be an event they're running to boost seller participation in 11/11, I don't think people buying through proxies need to worry about this.

"Taobao Carnival" is basically 11.11, it's the biggest "shopping carnival" on Taobao. Right now Tmall is really the only thing rolling out stuff for it and is giving away coupons to be used for shops/items on 11.11. If you use AliExpress, it's basically the same thing as what they're doing there.
Since Tmall is all 'official' shops and brands, they roll out stuff quicker than the Taobao shops do so it'll take a few days to a week for everyone to show up on the 11.11 search function or have their prices listed.

But yeah, anything about coupons just ignore it unless you're buying through Taobao itself.
If you see that orange banner, a cat, or just "11" or even "1111" on a listing, it'll be on sale on Singles Day even if there's no sales price listed yet.

(I found it by opening the blobfish page on wikipedia, then switching the language to Chinese on the bottom left, which gives you 水滴鱼, then added the google translate word for "toy" 玩具)

Okay so this is my first time buying shoes on Taobao
what size should I go for?
The sizes are 33 -38, I tried looking at many online converters for chinese sizes and they all say a size 7 (my size) is a Chinese size 39/38 but they also say it's the same as European size 39 ( which can't be right as I have European shoes that are a size 37/38)
My cm /japanese shoe size is 23cm so I am a true size 7 US sometimes even a 6.5 but 7 majority of time.

Does anybody know what does "Taobao store number" mean? For some reason Weibo blogs of those stores almost never put the link directly to them but they provide a "number", not sure where should I put it to find the store.

Planning on doing my first order to take advantage of 11.11 sales. I've used AliExpress before but TaoBao is new to me. I sent a message to my SS, who I picked because their website said they accepted Paypal. But in their reply, they said "we can not receive paypal payments, paypal stopped cooperation with most taobao agents because of fake brand issue, we are not sure when we could use it again, Can only receive Western Union ,MoneyGram, TT now"

Not sure. The Miku cos+yukata ran a little under 350 yuan apiece and the maki cos + boots ran about 450. 3x seifuku sets ran around 300ish apiece. I don't know if this information is accurate or not, but when I placed my 11.11 order with yoybuy, they sent me pic related. They make it sound like my taobao items were on an unrelated sale (and they were able to order them on 10.11), but some of them clearly said "11.11 sale" next to the price.
