Thinking about what material to use for Mercys chestplate. It looks soft and flexible. So I considered covering thin soft faom with fabric or stick with stiffer foam and plastidip

One person took a hollow display mannequin and cut it down to shape. It actually looked pretty wonderful, though you'd need a bust that fit reasonably.

Personally I plan on doing a fairly firm plastic upholstered in a thin layer of foam and then a 4-way stretch PVC, if I can get it smooth enough around the breasts. It will be a separate piece and snap to the black part underneath, though, because I'm building that black part as a full-torso harness for the wings.

I have the ascos version and it looks fantastic. It's so detailed and the look is definitely better than the standard zentai suit. However be prepared to do a lot of gluing and sewing repairs because the finishing work just isn't there. Also note that the hips are pretty heavily padded!
