How do I keep my paint from melting off in hot weather?

I just bought everything according to Gropey's guide. They didn't have any white mascara left, but I found some silver mascara at the dollar store. Hope it'll work out.

I just bought Mehron barrier spray and Ben Nye super white powder for use in shironuri for halloween, if anyone is interested in a review i'd be happy to do it after it arrives

Beware the Mehron barrier spray, anon. I've gotten my eyelashes stuck together with that stuff before to the point where now I just spritz it on a foam and pat apply it. It's pretty good quality though.

I'd love a review on the Ben Nye though.

Really? I've seen almost entirely good reviews for it, since it's dual use (underneath makeup and over it to set it) and people who wear heavy makeup (drag queens, clowns, etc) swear by it. I guess I'll just cover my eyes when I spray it

What does everyone do with their eyebrows for shironuri? Do you let your natural brows show through? Cover them and create new ones? Or just hide them entirely? Minori either doesn't have any or covers hers but extends her eye makeup high enough to keep it from looking bare
What I did last year was do the classic drag technique of using a glue stick to flatten my brows, then do my makeup over, and then I drew new eyebrows that matched my wig. I got Kryolan's eyebrow plastic this year and I'm excited to try that out too

Oh I'm not saying it's not great, it's just you have to be careful around your eyes when you spray it because it makes your eyelashes stick together and feel like you've just got hairspray or something in your eyes. It's a hassle to cover my eyes and miss chunks of my face because of it so I just use a sponge now.

They get white from the make up anyhow and since they're light and not too thick I usually just add my own to match my wig. I'm mostly a fan of the effect of a completely white face, and not so much of OTT make up otherwise so I need them to frame my face.

Other than minori's tutorial and bazookistan's tutorial, what else is worth watching?

How do I keep my face from looking too flat/bare when I don't want to do elaborate eye art like minori does? My color scheme is shades of purple and purple-ish pinks and reds, so I was thinking doing an unconventional color contour with it (but nothing like hollow cheekbones. was thinking more like on the edge of the face)

I highly recommend the products she mentioned to create the white base, I really liked them (but at this point you couldn't get them in time for Halloween)
Also Bazookistan did a series of tutorials with Kawaii Pateen but the most important one is the one for the base makeup
