Both skirts have a zipper and button closure, no stretch whatsoever. I'm not the greatest photographer.

Top skirt is the 34(XXXXL). I apparently don't know my hip size. I'll take it in just a tad bit and iron it this weekend. The length is great. The brand on the hang tag is 'Hug Sunshine'. The skirt had no stray threads. The color isn't my favorite shade of pink. It's very 'warm' if that makes sense. The material is thinner but is perfectly opaque. Nothing see through.

Bottom skirt is 26(M). This skirt is some off-brand misspelling of 'Arizona Apparel'. The skirt had considerable stray threads. The material of this skirt is surprisingly thick which is nice. It's a tennis skirt, not a 'schoolgirl' skirt so the pleats are considerably different. Still really cute. The color is also preferable. You can see a glimpse of the top skirt in comparison to it. The pink is lighter.

Any type of tutu skirt, petticoat, or pleated skirt will work very well. No need for a 'poofy' pleated skirt unless you prefer the underskirt. However, I also have two bodycon skirts that reach mid-thigh. One is black, the other has a hipbone pattern. I am particular to the latter on windy days.

I also have a pair of really short black shorts that I wear underneath oversized t-shirts. If you feel iffy donning just a t-shirt, wear a pair of short shorts under it!

I love this so much. It just reminds of Goregrind. If you check out the band Jig-Ai, their logos, t-shirts and all that have guro artwork... It's just missing the "kawaii" aspect. There are other bands too that use the hentai/guro imagery but they're mostly heavily influenced by Jig-Ai.

Right now the American stores mostly cater to club kids with bright neon colors, hippies with bohemian tribal motifs, and the normal kids with normal pink/sparkly delicate items.

It's not really about the subject matter of the comic itself, but the aesthetic it presents. The contrast between disturbing images and the cutesy, pastel style of illustration is very pleasing to those of us who enjoy menhera-kei. The fashion does not depend on the comic's plot or really its characters, but the way it looks.

I think anon meant that the story is so simple that you can understand it even without translations. Menhera-chan doesn't have many chapters to begin with because the artist focuses on merch releases, he took a one 15 month break between the latest chapter and consider Menhera-chan just started in 2014.

Hey, menhera-chan translator here, I heard there were complaints and thought I'd come clear things up.
I haven't stopped translating, the fact is I've had pretty awful health issues recently (ironically) which is why I haven't been translating. I'm hoping to get them sorted soon so within the next week or two id like to get started on the next few chapters. On the plus side, the next chapter is a longer one than usual so it'll make up for the gap.

Concrit please, this is my first menhera coord and I just sort of threw this on to get an idea of how I looked.

I feel like I should get red suede creepers to match the sweater (which I just recieved today. But I also think black suede would go with a lot more. I also feel the need to get hair accessories to go with it (particularly red).
Also now that I see these together I'm also kind of bummed I didn't also get the red bandaged tights from CherryCheezy but that'll be in my next order hopefully.
I'm also looking into getting a bandage like choker. I feel like that'll look infinitely better than the tattoo choker I have.
I also feel like I should find a more macabre phone case too....

I wear my clothes everyday to campus.
The nursing students adore it. I wear my clothing out on errands, grocery shopping and such. I wear them sitting around the house goofing off.

My old salon would have totally allowed it, but usually I wear pretty professional stuff to work. Black dress pants, heels, and a nice top. I bring my work clothes with me if I need to change in town.

I picked up the the (L) which is a 14-17 inch neck and a 1 inch band width. It fits chunky and slightly loose which I like, but many might find the (M) 12-14 inch with a 0.8 inch band is a better fit.

If you don't mind the shipping wait, Aliexpress has adorable collars for cheap, less than 4 dollars. They got all colors and even ones with pink and red spikes.

Does anyone else think the style is taking a darker, gothier turn? Or that the trend is dying down... Maybe people are starting to lean more in to the gurokawa side...?
Loads of artists and girls in the scene (Kuua being the most popular example) are starting to dye their hair black/darker colors from pastels... and starting to wear more black and goth style clothing...

Google isn't the best related to fashions these days anyways. Once something is trending the term gets abused by people that want to get attention using it. I usually check the tags on pixiv and look if the artist in question got a shop, they usually have customer pictures on Twitter if they do which can be nice to post.
